Recently, modernization is progressing very rapidly, but the destruction of the ecosystem is becoming more severe. leading to the reduction in the number of green areas. Accordingly, active efforts are being exerted to supplement for the shortage of green areas. Additionally, the enhancement of life quality and cultural level is leading to the increase of the longing of humans to enjoy leisure and rest so this demands for a nature friendly space where stability can be experienced in the city in which green areas are not available. As a result, many parks and landscapes are being built these days in order for people to experience natural landscape in the city and by creating the natural landscapes in various forms, measures are being taken so that nature can be experienced inside and outside buildings as well as the rooftop space. Department stores, which are representative commercial spaces nowadays, have introduced rooftop gardens as an indirect marketing strategy where a new and comfortable landscape and rest space are provide for consumers in order to enhance their purchase desire. This study is targeted on a rooftop garden built in a department store in Seoul as the awareness and usage condition of consumers are analyzed to explore how users are using the space composition of rooftop gardens and to apply it for further developed and effective rooftop garden activation.
초보자 승마운동 시 완충고삐 사용을 통한 말의 스트레스 완화에 관한 연구

During equestrian exercise, communication between riders and horses is very important, and riders’ appropriate signals without any disturbance for the horses’ proper movements are required. Therefore, horses may get different stress depending on the rider’s riding balance, posture, and proficiency. This study was conducted to confirm the difference in the stress of horses between the beginner’s riding and the expert’s riding, additionally, to prove the effectiveness of buffer rein reducing stress even when beginners ride. Average heart rate (HR) was measured for five minutes in stages with a walk, and HR variability (HRV) were measured for three minutes in stages with both rising trot and sitting trot. HRV variables include root mean square of successive differences (RMSSD), standard deviation of normal to normal interval (SDNN), and ratio of low to high frequency components of a continuous series of heartbeats (low-frequency [LF]/high-frequency [HF]). The study involved 6 horses that underwent routine husbandry procedures. The average HR did not show a difference among groups in all exercise stages includes walk, rising trot, and sitting trot. RMSSDs showed lower values for the sitting trot when the beginner rides compared to the expert’s riding (p < 0.05), which means the stress was more increased when beginners ride. On the other hand, when beginners ride using buffer reins, the RMSSD was increased in all exercise stages compared to the case of using regular reins. SDNN was increased when the beginners ride using buffer reins in the rising trot (p < 0.05), which means the stress was more relieved. Ratio of low to high frequency components of a continuous series of heartbeats was not different among groups, but it showed decreased value when beginners use buffer reins rather than regular reins. In this study, it was confirmed that beginners induce more stress on horses than experts during riding exercise and that the use of the buffer reins by beginners more reduces the riding stress of horses compared to when they use regular reins.

최근 주류 섭취 시 숙취와 관련이 있는 성분인 아세트알데히드, 메탄올 및 퓨젤유를 포함한 휘발성 유해성분에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 또한, 이들 성분들은 과음 시 간질환 및 암을 유발할 수도 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 아세트알데히드는 주류에서 발견되는 휘발성 성분이며 많은 식품에서 향미소재로 사용되고 있으나, 인체에 발암가능 물질로 분류되기도 한다. 특히, 알코올과 같이 섭취 시에는 1급 발암물질로 분류되고 있다. 메탄올은 알코올 발효 중 펙틴 분해 효소에 의해 팩틴의 demethoxylation 기작으로 생성된다. 이에 비해 퓨젤유는 알코올 발효의 부산물로 생성되며, 주류의 주요한 향미성분으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 주류에 포함되어 있는 휘발성 유해성분들이 건강에 미치는 영향, 이들의 최대허용함량 및 다양한 주류에서의 실제 함량, 그리고, 이들의 분석방법에 대해 고찰하였다. Recently, concerns about the volatile hazardous compounds including acetaldehyde, methanol, and fusel oils in alcoholic beverages, which cause hangover such as headache and dizziness after consumption, have been raised. The volatile hazardous compounds might also lead to an increased incidence of liver diseases and even cancers with a high consumption of alcoholic beverages. Acetaldehyde is a volatile compound naturally found in alcoholic beverages and used as flavor in many foods. However this is also regarded as possibly being carcinogenic to humans. Furthermore, acetaldehyde with alcoholic consumption is recently classified as Group 1, carcinogenic to humans. On the other hand, methanol is generated from demethoxylation of pectin by pectinolytic enzyme during alcoholic fermentation. Higher alcohols occur naturally in alcoholic beverages as by-products of alcoholic fermentation and are generally regarded as important flavor compounds. In the current study, we reviewed on the health concern, maximum levels, analytical methods, and current levels of hazardous volatile compounds in alcoholic beverages.
