Formal Asymptotic Expansion기법을 이용한 복합재 보의 단면거동 해석

The initial three-dimensional problems can be split into microscopic 2D and macroscopic 1D problems with scaling coordinate. And then, equilibrium equation, constitutive equation and strain-displacement relationship in linear elasticity become recursive forms by applying the formal asymptotic expansion method. From equilibrium equation, the finite element formulation can be constructed by virtual work concept. For the microscopic 2D problems, the solution at each order consists of the fundamental and warping solutions. The warping solutions implement nonclassical cross-sectional deformation of beams. The variation about the fundamental solution leads to formulate the macroscopic 1D problems. In case of the macroscopic 1D problems, the proper boundary conditions should be applied to obtain the solutions. Finally, the accuracy of solution is demonstrated by comparing with 3D finite elements solution in the numerical examples.

This study aims to explore the roles of the labor unions in Korea and in Taiwan in establishing and reforming the national pension systems. The findings based on the examinations through three temporal stages - under the authoritarian regime, democratic transition, and developed democracy - show that although the roles of labor unions were trivial under the authoritarian regime in both countries, their contribution to the expansion of social policies, including the national pension system, got greater since the democratization in 1980s. However, since the late 1990s, the roles of labor unions and the strategies they adopt show a divergence: while the labor union in Korea, which could not find a political channel, stuck to the militant strategy, the labor union in Taiwan successfully established a political alignment. The results suggest that the labor union in Korea may have a limitation as a political actor in the development of welfare state considering their restricted role in establishing and reforming the national pension system, while the labor movement in Taiwan demonstrates a potential of a more active role in the development of welfare state.
고해상도 식도내압검사에서 경한 식도 운동 장애로 진단된 환자에서의 항역류 치료 효과

Background/Aims: Minor disorders of peristalsis are esophageal motility disorders categorized by the Chicago Classification (CC), version 3.0, which was announced in 2014. This study evaluated the efficacy of anti-reflux therapy in patients with minor peristaltic disorders. Methods: Patients with minor peristaltic disorders in accordance with CC v3.0 were included. We reviewed the medical records of patients with esophageal high-resolution manometry findings, and investigated the demographic and clinical information as well as the medical therapy. Thereafter, the response to treatment was assessed after at least 4 weeks of treatment. Results: A total of 24 patients were identified as having minor disorders of peristalsis from January 2010 to December 2015. The mean follow-up period was 497 days, and there were 17 patients (70.8%) patients with ineffective esophageal motility. In terms of anti-reflux therapy, proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) with prokinetic agents and PPIs alone were prescribed in 19 patients (79.2%) and 5 patients (20.8%), respectively. When the rate of response to the treatment was assessed, the responders rate (complete+satisfactory [≥50%] responses) was 54.2% and the non-responders rate (partial [<50%]+refractory responses) was 45.8%. Patients in the responder group were younger than those in the non-responder group (p=0.020). Among them, 13 patients underwent 24-hour multichannel intraluminal impedance-pH, and 10 patients (76.9%) were pathologic gastroesophageal reflux. Conclusions: The majority of esophageal minor peristaltic disorders were accompanied by gastroesophageal reflux, and therefore, they might respond to acid inhibitor. Further well-designed, prospective studies are necessary to confirm the effect of anti-reflux therapy in these patients. (Korean J Gastroenterol 2017;69:212-219)

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effects of scientific and technological innovation factors on regional development in China. This paper analyzes 31 regions in China, used the Gross Regional Domestic Product(GRDP), which is an objective benchmark indicating a region’s economic development, as the dependent variable, and selected 5 factors, i.e. population, education, culture, economy and scientific and technological innovation, as independent variables affecting the regional economic development in consideration of previous findings and China’s economic development. Based on the factor analysis of GRDP which is the benchmark of the size of a regional economy, permanent resident population, fixed assets investment in culture, sports and entertainment industry, proportion of education expenditure out of a regional government’s total budget spending were grouped into socio-cultural factors. Total investment of foreign invested enterprises and aggregate scientific and technological innovation indicators were included in the economic innovation factor. The multiple regression analysis indicated abundant local workforce, aggressive investment in culture, total investment of foreign invested enterprises and scientific and technological innovation were the factors that had positive effects on regional economic development. Most of all, regional economic development was most affected by the total investment of foreign invested enterprises, but least affected by scientific and technological innovation. Also, non-economic factors which were grouped into the socio-cultural factors in regional economic development served as relatively important influence factors.

The Hydraulic Transfer System (HTS), which is installed in the Ki Jang Research Reactor (KJRR), is a radioisotope production facility. The irradiated objects are transferred through the pipes by the hydraulic driven force. The structural integrity of the pipe installed in the pool must be evaluated; therefore, the seismic analysis is carried out under the Safety-Shutdown Earthquake (SSE) condition. This paper includes the preliminary seismic analysis for the in-pool pipes in the HTS. The modal analysis for the in-pool pipes where the hydraulic mass is considered is conducted, and then the response spectrum is applied.
