Micro/meso cutting is getting more important in the fields of precision machining technology. A micro-turning lathe is one of parts to consist the Micro Factory. It accepts stepwise motion actuators that are used for feeding system instead of the conventional mechanism. It is consisted of two Piezoelectric ceramics; one is for feeding the slider, and the other is for clamping the slider in the guide way of the body. The linearity and positional accuracy of the actuators are good enough for high precision motion. The spindle unit is operated with DC motor on the top of the slider. The motion is communicated with miniaturized linear encoder attached on each side of axis. A mono crystal diamond tool is used for cutting tool. This micro-lathe has been made a machining experiment to see the characteristics of micro-machining.

This paper describes the result of endurance test on the Sangju test track. The purpose of the test is to prove the endurance of the Korean EMU for the commercial operation. Test conditions are more severe than actual operation on the commercial line. But endurance test come to an end well without severe problem. Hereafter, Korean EMU will be applied the quality certification of railroad supplies as a testing vehicle and their components will be applied in a new line.

This paper describes the result of wearing test on the Sangju test track. The purpose of the test is to evaluate an amount of wearing for EMU"s pan to shoes. Panto shoes are affected in wearing by environment owing to expose the vehicle. Especially, the rainy season, they are found easy to get an increase in wearing of panto shoes. To evaluate an amount of wearing, we carried out running test for 5 months under the ground line conditions.

This paper describes the result of endurance test on the Sangju test track. The purpose of the test is to prove the endurance of the Korean EMU for the commercial operation. After 100,000㎞ of test operation, the EMU will be delivered to operation cooperation for th commercial opertion.

도시철도 관제센터는 도시철도내 통신망, 교통망, 시설물 등으로부터 정보를 수신하고 이를 통합적으로 분석하여 도시철도를 효과적으로 운영, 관리한다. 본 논문에서는 관제시스템 관련 국내외 사례들을 조사하고, 실제사례 분석을 통하여 도시철도 관제시스템의 운영과정에서 발생하는 현안문제로 관제규모의 과다, 관리 이원화의 문제점 등을 기술하였다. 이에 대한 개선방안으로는 관제업무의 일원화, 스마트관제의 도입, 스마트 모바일 시스템 도입 등에 대한 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다. Urban railway control center receives data from communication network transport network and facilities in the urban railway and analyzes them to more efficiently run and manage the urban railway. This paper analyzes previous research and actual cases of the urban railway control system, delineating major issues that still need to be actualized.: large-scale control system, problem of control center manage duality, etc. This study proposes the following methods of improvement to resolve these problems: unification of control services, introduction of smart control system, introduction of Smart Mobile System.

This paper describes the result of carbody load test. The purpose of the test is to evaluate an safety which carbody structure shall be considered fully sufficient rigidity so as to satisfy proper system function under maximum load and operating condition. Carbody material applied a stainless steel and an aluminum alloy, The stainless steel model is the carbody of a motor car which is delivering to KNR line 1 in 2002 and the aluminum alloy model is the carbody of a motor car which is delivering to GWANGJU line 1 in 2003. This strength test is based on "performance test standard for Electrical Multiple Unit, noticed by Ministry of Construction & Transportation, in 2000" and reference code is UIC 566 and JIS E 7105.

In order to improve the speed of railway, several parameters and/or technical issues, which are affecting speed improvement negatively, need to be considered in addition to the enhancement of physical performance of the railway system such as maximum speed, speed at curve, and speed at turnout track. The parameters under complicated situation of railway system are from the areas of rolling stocks, track, power system, signalling, etc. In general, two different aspects of technical issues can be evaluated; Technical issues in the hardware aspect and technical issues in the software aspect. The hardware parameters include running performance, braking performance, and power performance, while the software factors are rules, regulations, and riding quality. In this investigation, a comparison study between hardware and software aspects in technical issues was conducted to provide technical information on the amendment of railway speed-up regulations.
특별 학술대회 팔표논문 : 문화정책의 생태계적 접근에서 인문학적 관점의 필요성: 장애예술의 사례에 근거한 시론(試論)

‘문화융성’이 현 정부의 4대 국정기조의 하나로 설정되고 ‘인문·정신문화의 진흥’이 공식적으로 이 기조의 실현을 위한 실천과제로 채택되면서 문화정책에서 인문학적 관점이 갖는 중요성에 대한 관심이 제고되고 있다. 그러나 ‘인문·정신문화의 진흥’이라는 과제가 어떠한 논리를 통해서, 어떠한 과정을 거쳐서 ‘문화예술 진흥’이라는 전략적 목표와 나아가서는 ‘문화융성’이라는 국정기조의 실현에 이바지하게 되는지에 대한 설명은 거의 시도된 적이 없다. 이러한 문제의식을 바탕으로 본 논문은 우리나라 ‘문화정책’의 새로운 트랜드에 속한다고 할 수 있는 ‘생태계적 접근’을 근거로 삼아, 인문학적 관점이 우리나라 문화예술의 진흥에 어떻게 기여할 수 있는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해서 먼저 ‘문화정책의 생태계적 접근’에 대한 역사적·개념적 맥락을 고찰할 것인바, 이는 생태계적 접근의 의의와 특질을 분명히 하고, 이 개념이 우리나라 문화정책계에서 핵심어로 떠오르게 된 과정과 배경을 밝히는 데 기여할 것이다. 다음으로는 국내 ‘장애예술정책’의 실제 사례를 통해서 생태계적 접근이 비단 ICT산업이나 콘텐츠산업 진흥정책만이 아니라 문화예술 진흥정책에서도 중요한 공헌을 할 수 있다는 점, 그러나 문화예술정책 분야에서 이러한 접근이 실질적인 효과를 거두기 위해서는 ‘인간과 문화에 대한 원천적 이해’로서 인문학적 관점이 반드시 그 중심에 자리를 잡아야한다는 점을 보이고자 한다. Since ‘cultural flourishment’ became one of the four government principles of the current Korean government, and ‘promoting humanistic·spiritual culture’ was officially adopted as an action plan to realize the principle, the interest in the importance of humanistic perspective in cultural policy has arisen. However, behind the scene, it has been rarely noted how ‘promoting humanistic·spiritual culture’ can contribute to achieving the strategic objective of ‘promoting culture and the arts’, and thereby to realizing the principle of ‘cultural flourishment’. To address this issue, this article aims to explain why humanistic perspective is essentially required to promote culture and the arts, with the example of the ‘ecosystem approach’ which has recently grown into a new trend in the Korean cultural policy field. The article starts by examining the historical and conceptual context of the ecosystem approach. It will help clarify the significance and features of the approach as well as the process through which the concept has been elevated into a key word in Korean cultural policy. On this ground, with the case study of disability arts in Korea, I will proceed to show that the ecosystem approach is very useful in formulating and implementing government policy, not only for nurturing ICT or content industries, but also for culture and the arts; and, more importantly, that the usefulness of the approach can be guaranteed only when humanistic perspective, as fundamental understanding of human and culture, is centered on it.

This paper describes the result of endurance test of the brake system of the Korean EMU on the Sangju test track. The purpose of the test is to prove the endurance of brake system. Test conditions are more severe than actual operation on the commercial line. As of October, test result is good without severe problems. 100,000㎞ of test operation will be continued by the end of this year to check the endurance of the brake system.

Background and Objectives:The malignances of external auditory canal(EAC) are very rare diseases and have very poor prognosis. Numerous staging systems have been proposed to classify patients before treatment. To treat the diseases, multimodal therapy is performed. The aim of this study was to review our experiences of the treatments for the malignances of EAC, and to propose most effective treatments according to the stage. Subjects and Method:Twenty-one patients with the malignances of EAC diagnosed between November 1994 and December 2009 were analyzed. The patients were analyzed according to the Pittsburgh staging system and histopathological findings. Results:The number of patients staged as T1, T2, T3, and T4 were 4, 2, 2, and 13, respectively. Surgical treatments were performed in 13 patients using lateral temporal bone resection, subtotal temporal bone resection. Initial or postoperative radiotherapies were performed in 13 patients. After the treatment, the mean disease free survival periods of 5 patients (23.8%) who are still alive without the disease was 27.8 months, and 4 patients (19%) expired within the mean periods of 11.8 months. Conclusion:We suggest that en-bloc resection with or without radiation therapy is the best treatment for the malignancies of the external auditory canal. A positive resection margin or residual tumor should be considered as worst prognostic factor.
