Today, rapid development and timeliness of introducing a new product be- comes a more influencing factor of determing its competitive power due to a shortened product cycle, while rapid improvement of manufacturing technology makes product design and manufacturing fuse together. This implies that prod- uct usability evaluation and improvement starts right from its design phase, resulting in less development time and cost. To make this possible, proper as- sessment of human reach is one of essential functions for ergonomic product us- ability evaluation, specifically in the platform of computer-aided ergonomic evaluation models or any CAD system with a built-in man model. In this study, an analytic reach prediction algorithm ensuring the posture that human naturally takes, is presented by employing the methods developed for robot kinematics. Among robot kinematic methods for solving the multi-link system, the resolved motion method was found to be effective to solve human reach as a redundant manipulator model. Also, the joint range availability was used as a performance fonction to guarantee human naturalness. The result is expected to be directly applicable to product usability evaluations.

Proper ergonomic design of a passenger seat for the highspeed train is one of the essential design components that is directly related to passenger comfort. This study investigated a systematic approach to the ergonomic passenger seat design and evaluation for the Korean highspeed train. To design an ergonomic passenger seat that improves passenger confort, Korean anthropometric data, pas- senger activities in the coach, body postures, body contours and seat dimensions were considered. By analyzing the interredlationship of such factors, resultant seat dimensions were suggested. To properly ecaluate the suggested dimensions, four prototypes were subsequently made and iteratively tested in the laboratory. It is expected that this approach is readily applicable to the passenger seat design of other transport vehicles as well as a train.
웹 기반 방송 프로그램 포맷 공동 창작 시스템의 설계 및 구현

최근 국내 방송 업계에서 프로그램 제작 아이디어를 쉽고 빠르게 획득하기 위하여, 방송 프로그램 포맷을 수입하여 프로그램을 제작하여 방영하고 있다. 방송 산업에서 포맷이란 일련의 시리즈물 프로그램에서 각각의 에피소드를 구성하는 가변의 요소들이 시리즈물 내내 변화지 않고 꾸준히 유지되는 프로그램 요소들의 집합을 의미하는 개념으로 사용되고 있다. 예컨대 국내에 방영되고 있는 퀴즈 프로그램인 1:100의 경우, 해외에서 포맷을 수입하여 국내에서 제작한 대표적인 사례라고 할 수 있다. 즉, 포맷이란 프로그램의 독창적인 아이디어와 구성요소를 내포하고 있는 프로그램 기획안과 유사하지만, 더 구체적인 제작 설명서에 가깝다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 방송 프로그램의 포맷 창작을 위하여 다수의 사용자가 창의적인 아이디어를 도출하고 확장하여, 이를 포맷 제작에 적합하게 재구성할 수 있도록 하는 시스템을 웹을 기반으로 구현하고, 이를 방송 프로그램 전문가들이 활용할 수 있도록 하고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. Recently broadcasting production companies have imported a number of broadcast program formats to get ideas quickly and easily. The term format in broadcasting industry is defined as a paper form which includes principal elements throughout each episode of the series in a program to keep consistency. In case of the quiz program titled 1:100 which is being aired in Korea, the domestic company imported the format and produced to broadcast in Korea. In other words, a format includes components of the inherent creative ideas and proposals needed in production a program. The study proposed a web based collaborative system that many users create the format for the broadcast program together. the system is constructed to combine creative ideas to making them a format. Also, production experts will take advantage of the system.
