        군부대 방음사격장의 음향특성 분석 및 사격소음 예측

        The shooting noise caused by shooting training, which has strength and impacts, is becoming a serious damage to the residents around the shooting range and, consequently, the number of civil appeals against the shooting noise is on the constant increase. For this reason, the military examines the effects of the shooting noise at the stage of design in constructing a shooting range and tries to build a soundproof shooting range to minimize civil appeals. However, the lack of research and data concerning propagation and attenuation, both of which characterize the shooting noise from within a soundproof shooting range, even makes it so difficult to design a soundproof shooting range in constructing it. So this study used an acoustic simulation in a soundproof shooting range to identify acoustic and propagation characteristics within the shooting range and, on this basis, predicted the noise level at an exit of the soundproof shooting range. As a result, if the form and specifications of a soundproof shooting range were decided on at the stage of design, it was possible to use a simulation to design a soundproof shooting range with optimized acoustic performance and, on this basis, to predict a sound pressure level at an exit of the soundproof shooting range. On the basis of these data, it is probably possible to determine the degree of the effects of the shooting noise on the villages around a shooting range and the extent of damage to it and to minimize civil appeals against the shooting noise and resolve the issues of compensation and agreement with ease. This study is expected to provide useful data for designing and constructing a similar soundproof shooting range.

        공동주택 욕실 배수배관 자재 구성에 따른 양변기 배수소음 저감 특성

        Water supply and drainage noise in the bathroom is recognized as one of the main noises, along with the floor-impact sounds, in apartment housings. Recently, to solve such noise issues, a new construction method of installing the piping on the slab has been adopted. rather than the traditional method of penetrating the piping through the slab between the upper and the lower bathrooms. However, this new method has limitations due to high costs and constructional difficulties. Therefore, this study was conducted to develop noise reducing piping and elbows, where the noise can be reduced simply by replacing the existing pipings. The noise level was measured in a laboratory by installing the horizontal drainage piping (three types) and the elbows (three types) developed in this study. The results showed that the horizontal pipings reduced the noise level in LAmax by 0.3 dB(A) ~1.0 dB(A), as compared to the existing pipings (VG2), indicating an insignificant noise reduction effect. The elbow reduced the noise level in LAmax by 5.5 dB(A) ~ 11.5 dB(A), as compared to the existing elbow (DRF elbow), with the result of reducing the noise level at all frequencies evenly. Consequently, it was shown that using the elbows is more effective in reducing the water-drainage noise from the toilet than using the horizontal pipings.

        근육건강에 대한 일반적 특성에 따른 인식, 태도 및 지식의 차이

        Purpose: To understand awareness, attitude and knowledge levels of muscle health of adults over 18 years old. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study using questionnaires. A total of 401 questionnaires were included for final analysis. Mean and standard deviation of the continuous variables were analyzed and frequency analysis of categorical variables was performed. To identify differences according to general characteristics, t-test was used. Results: Awareness scores about the importance of muscle health and exercises were 8.3 and 13.0, respectively. Attitude score and knowledge score were 12.4 and 15.0, respectively. There were differences in attitude toward muscle health according to gender, age, physical activity, and diet habits. However, there was no difference in attitude toward muscle health according to educational level, smoking, drinking, or sleeping. Conclusion: It is necessary to seek a strategy to improve awareness and attitude toward muscle health based on knowledge, not merely to raise knowledge level about muscle health. Since nurses play a central role in health promotion and disease prevention, they should also play an important role in strategic development and application of intervention.

      • 비금속관 설비관통부의 슬리브 종류에 따른 내화성능 비교

        In this study, we aimed to identify changes in fire resistance according to the type of sleeves used for pipe penetrations and to examine their accreditation of fire resistance performance and use them as basic data. The test results of fire resistance according to the type of sleeve used in non-metallic pipe facilities showed that the temperature on the support side was higher for sleeves with higher thermal conductivity. For the temperature on the surface of the pipes, in the case of galvanized steel plates, steel pipes, and structures without sleeves, the highest temperature was observed after the expansion of the firestop material for 46 to 53 minutes and then decreased. PVC sleeves showed a steady increase in temperature until 53 minutes, after which the temperature did not increase further. In addition, for non-metallic pipes, the effect of the type of sleeve on fire resistance is considered to be insignificant because the lower part (heating direction of the furnace) under the support structure is cut off to block the heat during the two-hour fire resistance test.

        With the recent improvement in the quality of life and cultural level for the people, the central and local governments take interest in activation of culture and arts; however, there have been absolutely insufficient spaces for practicing performing arts by now. So the government tries to make greater use of idle public facilities, which have been neglected, aged, for years, and provide stable practice spaces in support of creative activities of local arts groups. The development of such idle public facilities into performing arts practice spaces requires security of acoustic performance appropriate for their use as well as improvement of the aged facilities. From this perspective, this study aimed to determine the degree of improvement and changes in acoustic performance following remodeling of Chuncheon Girls" High School, which has recently been remodeled, on the basis of the data from the previous research. The data from this study are expected to be useful in remodeling similar performing arts practice spaces.

      • 국립국악원 예악당의 건축음향특성

        The National Gugak Center (NGC), which has opened since 1951, is playing an important role of preserving and succeeding to traditional arts along with the other gugak centers established in Namwon, Jindo, and Busan. In particular, Yeak-dang in NGC, which was designed as a performance hall exclusively for gugak, has been remodeled several times to secure acoustic performance appropriate for gugak performance due to its aged facilities and gone through lots of changes in the form and acoustic performance of the performance hall from the early stage of its opening. However, the failure to obtain accurate data concerning acoustic performance of Yeak-dang makes it very difficult to design and construct a performance hall exclusively for gugak, which is to be built later. From this perspective, this study aimed to make field measurement of Yeak-dang in NGC and determine its architectural acoustic characteristics.

        As the issues of improvement in the cultural level and in the quality of life get attention, the number of cultural events and performances tends to be on the increase. To meet this tendency, the central and local governments are interested in activation of performing arts; however, there are very few spaces for practicing such performing arts. So the government tries to make greater use of idle public facilities, which have been neglected, aged, for years, and provide stable practice spaces in support of creative activities by local arts groups. The development of such idle public facilities into performing arts practice spaces requires security of data concerning acoustic performance before remodeling at the stage of design; however, it is impossible to measure or evaluate their acoustic performance before remodeling because they have long been neglected and unmanaged. From this perspective, this study aimed to use acoustic simulation to determine acoustic performance in seven spaces of Chuncheon Girls" High School. The data from this study are expected to be useful in acoustic design and remodeling of similar spaces.

        The rapid urbanization in the process of industrialization is causing diverse social problems over time. Of these, greater attention is paid to idle public facilities that have been neglected due to aging and lower levels of usability. So the central and local governments have recently tried to remodel them into performing arts practice spaces and allow local residents to use them as cultural activity and community spaces. Remodeling into performing arts practice spaces requires security of good acoustic performance due to the changes in spatial form and interior design; however, South Korea has almost no relevant data by now.

      • 국악 공연장의 초기감쇠시간 특성

        Korean traditional music is a unique type of music that exists only in Korea unlike Western music. As Pansori and Korean traditional music have been performed in multi-purpose halls and concert halls, which are venues designed mainly for Western music, the need for venues that are appropriate for Korean traditional music performance has been pointed out. In addition, this area involves a lot of challenges since there have yet to be systematic researches on acoustic characteristics of Korean traditional music halls. In this regard, the present study aims to measure and analyze acoustic characteristics of EDT (Early Decay Time) in 6 Korean traditional music halls, and the correlation between the EDT measurement and the reverberation time presented in the preliminary study is analyzed. It is expected that the findings will be useful in examining EDT characteristics of Korean traditional music halls that are suitable for the domestic condition.
