교통소외지역 대중교통체계 전환에 따른 수요응답형 버스 통행특성 분석: 세종시 두루타(DRT) 서비스를 중심으로

Disadvantaged public transportation regions restrict daily mobility and socio-economic activities. As population decline exacerbates these issues, the need for Demand-Responsive Transport (DRT) to enhance local mobility has emerged. DRT offers flexible passenger transport, transcending fixed routes and schedules, improving transportation access, reducing costs, and providing efficient services based on real demand. Local governments are increasingly implementing DRT to ensure mobility rights and transportation welfare. To maximize DRT utility, understanding local travel demand and evaluating existing services are essential. This study empirically analyzes Sejong Citys DuRuTa Bus as a DRT case, using public transportation big data. Despite efforts to enhance transportation in disadvantaged areas, the operational efficiency of DRT remains unexamined. This research assesses the DuruTa DRT bus service over half year driving record to suggest development strategies for sustainable Demand-Responsive Transport in an era of declining populations, aims to inform future public transportation mobility policies. To examine the travel behavior of the DRT service, this study employed Origin-Destination (O-D) analysis and Nearest Neighbor analysis to identify spatiotemporal patterns. Furthermore, a comparative analysis was conducted against existing bus public transportation passenger patterns to analyze the distinctive travel characteristics of the DRT bus service in the rural areas of Sejong City.
