The objective of this study is the domestic development of the electrochemical sensor(NO, NO₂) for the measurement of nitrogen oxides from an in-use diesel vehicle. These sensors are expected to be used for the repair and inspection of the in-use diesel vehicle that has been rejected in the vehicle emission precision inspection. Electrochemical sensors consist of dust filter, sensor housing, wick and separator, working electrode, reference electrode, and counter electrode. The performance and correlation test showed that the developed electrochemical sensor has a relatively shorter response time and a higher linearity in the nitrogen oxide measurement of the in-use diesel vehicle than the previously developed sensor. It is expected that it will be possible to provide an easy nitrogen oxide measurement platform for the in-use diesel vehicle by using the aforementioned sensor.
