This paper provides the analysis of the differential amplifier using the insulated gate, metala-oxide-semiconductor type field-effect-transistor(MOS FET), for its active element and the power drift of the amplifer. From these analytical considerations some design standardsn were found for the MOS FET differential amplifier available for the measurement of the very small current (pico-ampare range). A differential amplifier was designed and built in the view of above considerations. Its equivalent input gate voltages of the thermal drift and the power drift were 0.57mV/.deg. C in the range 25.deg. C-60.deg. C and 8.8mV/V in the range of 20% drift of its orginal value, respectively.

A transistorized counting-rate meter was designed by substituting one of diodes in the ordinary diode pumping circuit by the Darling's constant current source. Its circuit is so simple and stable that it is proper to use as a part of portable radiation detectors. Maximum readable counting rate is well above 100 kc/s and the linearity is very good. Output deviations due to the variations of embient temperatures are less than 5% in the temperatures from 20.deg. C to 40.deg. C.

A super gain antenna relating to TV & FM broadcasting for Seoul area is designed and manufactured. It is analyzeied with the equivalent circuit, and then manufactured according to the design method. Some practical measurements pertaining to various characteristics of the antenna have been accomplished and shown us good results.

A method of triggering a series connected complementary transister flip-flop is described. Also measurements have been made for the operation region with respect to the input pulse variation. This circuit is compared with a Eccles-Jordan flip-flop when it used as a Nixie tube driver of a neon lamp driyer.
Silicon P-N Junction Diode에 대한 X-Ray 및 Gamma-Ray 의 Dose Ratec 측정

The measurements of X-ray and Gamma-ray Dose Rate have been successfully made by measuring the short circuit current of the Silicon P-N Junction Diode being irradiated. The short circuit current flows when a silicon P-N Junction Diode is irradiated by X-ray of Gammaray radiations due to photovoltaic effect. A brief analysis is given in order to verify the proportionality of a short circuit current to the Dose Rate. Using this method, measurements of X-ray Dose Rate were carried out in the range of 0.05-1600 r/m successfully. The calibration was made by comparing with Victoreen condenser r-meter. Some advantages in this Dose Rate meter over a condenser r-meter were found. One can measure a continous variation of X-ray Dose Rate with this rate meter at the control console of X-ray device.

This paper studied cladding thickness that is the most important parameter when optical divices are fabricated with polished single mode optical fiber. When a drop of liquid with appropriate index oil is placed on the polished surface of the single mode optical fiber, guided mode of optical fiber is coupled in the liquid index oil. This coupling induces additional loss of the guided mode. These losses vary with the evanescent field in the cladding, and it is proportioned to thickness of polished cladding, so we can get cladding thickness by the measurement of loss, during optical fiber is polished.
