Vol.20 No.2

An altitude chamber, also known as a hypobaric chamber, is a device used during aerospace or high terrestrial altitude research or training to simulate the effects of high altitude on the human body. Although data from altitude chamber researches using experimental animals have been accumulated, studies in the humans exposed to hypobaric conditions are seldomly reported. Despite the importance of altitude chamber flight training in the field of aviation physiology, the hematological analysis of post-flight physiological changes has rarely been performed. The aims of the present study were to investigate the alterations in blood components during altitude chamber flight and to determine whether the differences between pre- and post-flight values are significant. Sixty experienced pilots in the Republic of Korea Air Force were enrolled in the altitude chamber flight training. Venous blood samples were obtained before and immediately after the flight. Compared with the pre-flight values(6.32×103/mm3, 5.02×106/mm3, 15.61 g/dL, respectively), white blood cell count, red blood cell count and hemoglobin level were significantly increased after the flight(6.77×103/mm3, 5.44×106/mm3, 16.26 g/dL; p=0.006, p=0.012, p<0.001, respectively). These alterations may be attributable to the exposure to hypobaric hypoxia, 100% oxygen supply for denitrogenation, considerable rise and fall in altitude and psychophysical stress due to these factors. In further studies, experimental groups and methods should be individualized to ensure objectivity and diversification. In addition, multiple time-frame analyses regarding the changing pattern of each blood component are also required to elucidate the physiological process for adapting to the high terrestrial altitude exposure.

한국적 의사소통 집단상담 프로그램이 전입신병의 인간관계와 군 생활 적응에 미치는 효과

정현주 ( Hyun Ju Jung ),권재철 ( Jae Chul Kwon ),전은령 ( Eun Ryoung Jeon ),차영은 ( Young Eun Cha ),민경옥 ( Kyung Ok Min ) 국군간호사관학교 군건강정책연구소 2014 군진간호연구 Vol.32 No.2

Purpose : The population group of study was newly enlisted soldiers who just finished the basic military training. The study focused on influence of a korean style communication group counseling program on our population group`s human relations and adaptability in a military environment. Methods : This program recommended in the study composed of professional military counseling activity and operational manual. Throughout the two preliminary experiments, we decided to use above on experimental group and another general style used program on comparative group. The program was executed on unit A. We measured communication ability, human relations and adaptability before and after the experiment. In each group, there were 19 applicant soldiers per the minimum of cohen`s formular. Results : After ANCOVA analysis, the result demonstrated that experimental and comparative groups scored higher points in communication ability and adaptability than control group. Especially, the significance in human relation from experimental group was quite different from that of last study. Conclusion : The program influenced new enlisted soldiers in a positive way. Therefore the study has been achieving a changeable goal and also assured that professional counseling for enlisted soldiers may adapt and utilize the program to prevent soldiers who trouble adapting in service.
