초등학교 5학년 학생들의 선호도와 수학 성취도와의 관계 연구

본 연구는 초등학교 5학년 학생들의 선호도와 수학성취도를 알아보기 위해 광주광역시 L초등학교 3개반 102명을 대상으로 연구하였으며, 연구목적에 맞게 교차분석과 빈도분석을 하였으며 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교 5학년 학생들의 선호도를 알아보면 취미와 특기로 스포츠와 컴퓨터 활동을 많이 하는 것으로 보였으며, 장래희망으로는 교사, 교수 등의 안정된 직업인 교육계열을 많이 선호하였으며, 좋아하는 과목은 수학, 싫어하는 과목은 사회로 나타났다. 하교 후 공부하는 시간은 평균 1~2시간정도이며, 하루 중 수학공부를 하는 시간은 평균 1시간 정도로 나타났다. 한 달 동안 1~10권정도 독서를 하며, 노는 토요일이나 주말의 여가시간에는 영화를 보거나 운동을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 초등학교 5-가의 영역별 수학성취도를 보면 정답률이 높은 영역은 수와연산, 도형, 규칙성과함수이다. 즉 전반적으로 규칙성과함수 영역에서 높은 정답률을 보였고, 측정이나 문자와식 영역에서는 낮은 정답률을 보였다. 셋째, 초등학교 5학년 학생들의 수학성취도와 선호도와의 관계를 알아본 결과, 수학성취도 점수가 10점 이하인 학생들은 취미, 특기가 스포츠, 장래희망은 교육계열 및 운동계열, 좋아하는 과목은 예능계열, 하루 중 수학 공부하는 시간은 1시간 정도이며, 여가활동으로는 운동이나 오락을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 수학성취도 점수가 10점 이상인 학생들은 취미로 컴퓨터를 하고 특기는 스포츠, 장래희망은 의학계열을 선호하며, 좋아하는 과목은 수학이고, 싫어하는 과목은 사회로 나타났다. 하루 중 수학 공부하는 시간은 1-2시간이며, 한달 독서량은 1-10권 정도이며 여가활동으로는 주로 오락을 하는 것으로 나타났다.
