Background/Aims: Motilin is an intestinal peptide that stimulates the contraction of gut smooth muscle. A discrepancy exists between the in vivo (neurally mediated) and in vitro (direct action on a smooth muscle receptor) mechanisms of motilin action in many species. We investigated in vitro mechanisms of motilin action on human gastric smooth muscle. Methods: Antral cirular muscle strips of the surgical tissue obtained during gastrectomy, were used to measure contractile force and electrical activity. Dispersed muscle cells were used to measure L-type Ca2+ current and electrical activity. Results: Motilin of 1-100nM contracted smooth muscle in a concentration-dependent manner. Motilin-induced contractions were unaffected by tetrodotoxin or atropine treatment. Nifedipine or Ca2+-free bath solution blocked motilin (10nM)-induced contractions. Low concentration of motilin (1nM) resulted in an increase in acetylcholine (0.1~100M)-induced contractions. By patch clamp recording technique, motilin (1 or 10nM) did not modify the L-type Ca2+ current, but motilin-induced membrane depolarization was detected. Erythromycin also contracted smooth muscle with membrane depolarization but verapamil inhibited the contraction. Conclusions: These results suggest that motilin contracts smooth muscle through a direct action on smooth muscle receptor and Ca2+ influx through the L-type Ca2+ channel, which is due to membrane depolarization, also mediates motilin-induced contractions. Agricultural co-operative chain store has protected both producers and consumers as reducing the cost of distribution due to directly deal with places of production, and enhanced ability for selling transaction of farm products and Industrial products by Agricultural co-operative, and contributed to modernization of distribution and stability of prices. However in order to continuously develops as the Agricultural co- operative chain store its advantage usefully, it must be suplemented or improved each problem that is appeared in the analysis of consumers' and management method. Finally, if the Agricultural co-operative chain store is far superior to other distributing businesses and develops for the long run, the Agricultural co-operative chain store must concentrate its effort on the marketing operation as follows ; Firstly, it should be expand the direct transaction with places of production and distribution center and sell at a low price the products as constructing the system of bulk sale. Secondly, it should be improved service for consumer. Specially, human being - service -system has been object of dissatisfy for consumers. Then it must establish special educational system in each main center. Thirdly, it will have to prepare products of industrial and agricultural for satisfying consumers. Of course overestimate for products result in red profit in Agricultural co-operative chain store, but shortage of products in center will have taken away consumer. Then suitable stock is needed in its center.

Food processing industry has an important role in the part of food supplier, and has occupied its position in the part of industry, has a special factor for agricultural. The participation of food processing industry is necessary factor for Agricultural Cooperatives increase the farmer's income, to develop the domestic food processing industry, and to diversify the activities of Agricultural cooperatives. To achieve these goals, the first, they have to introduce the new management system, the second, they have to secure a lot of suppliers, the third, they have to get advertising campaign underway. And also they have to secure the circulation for the goods. First of all, they have to set up some plans like as short-term, mid-term, long-term and investment to develop the food processing activity in Agricultural Cooperatives.
정상 성인에서 식이섬유 섭취량이 배변 습관 및 장관통과시간에 미치는 영향

Background/Aims: This study was designed to assess the normal bowel habit and effects of dietary fiber on bowel transit in healthy Koreans because such data are not sufficiently available. Methods: For 30 healthy volunteers (15 males, 15 females), we examined small bowel transit time using lactulose hydrogen breath test and colonic transit time using radiopaque markers. Total dietary fiber intake was assessed by dietary record for three days and bowel habit was assessed using questionnaires. Results: The most common bowel habit was once a day (24 hour cycle). Mean daily consumption of total dietary fiber was 15.2±5.2 g. Mean small bowel transit time was 89.4±24.4 min with no significant difference according to sex. Mean colonic transit time was 35.7±16.5 hours. Furthermore, there was a significant correlation between colonic transit time and the amount of total dietary fiber consumption. Conclusions: The significant correlation between the amount of total dietary fiber consumption and colonic transit time gests that decreased consumption of dietary fiber may be related to prolonging colonic transit time.
