The purpose of this study was to develop the High Functional Polyester Yarns to produce the high value added textile goods and to meet the consumer's needs. For the study 54 yarns were made with 50, 75, 150 denier and the tensile properties of the sample were tested and analysed. The result indicated that the samplet their stretch performance regardless of conventional process, had higher stretch than that of conventional process textured yarn. Especially breaking strengthl had higher stretch than that of DTY compared with the same condition of yarn. With time course behavior the breaking elongation of DTY means 31.9~36.4%. The above results show that tensile properties of fabrics are changed depending on the end-use. and thus, above results can be used to manufacture of fabrics for specific end-use with high tensile properties.

Water soluble silk(SS), Normal silk(NN), the hybrid of two character (SN) were investigated by the method of spectroscopic analysis. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FT-IR) showed the existence of β structure and random coil by the absorption band of Amid III at the region of 1,200cm-1. SS silk protein, considered as a kind of sericin, was confirmed as fibroin. The degree of crystallinity was calculated as 40% in SS silk, which was higher than those of 30% in sericin. Differential Scanning Calorimetry(DSC) provided the peak of thermal absorption following degradation of β-configuration at 34℃ and 84℃ for SS silk, while at 74℃ for the fibroin of NN silk. Sericin also appears the evidence of crystalline structure I~IV, however, the peak of thermal absorption at 48℃ was lower than that of fibroin, and clearly different from the case of SS silk. The transition temperature(TG) of SS silk was 110℃, which was stronger than fibroin by the difference of 10℃. Thermal absorption at high temperature region reconfirmed that SS silk contained fibroin, and the more amount of α-helix structure, as compared with sericin.

The purpose of the study was to compare mechanical properties of wool fabrics with single yarns and folded yarns. The samples used for the study were 100% wool fabrics woven with 30's and 40's of single yarns and 60/2's and 80/2's of folded yarns. Their mechanical properties and fabric handle were measured by Kawabata Evaluation System. From the result of the study due to the different yarn migration behavior of single yarns and folded yarns, such as twist redistribution and compression to the yarn during fabric formation, there were significant differences in the mechanical and drape properties between them, and thus they showed different fabric handle.
원사 및 직물의 구성특성치와 직물 태 변화에 관한 연구

A Study has been carried out on the hand properties of PET filament fabrics with highly twisted filling yarns in connection with such fabric construction parameters as fineness, twist level. fabric density and weave structure. From this study the following conclusions are made: 1. Bending rigidity is a major factor affecting the stiffness(Koshi). The anti-drape(Hari) and the flexibility with soft feeling(Shinayakasa) on the fabric. Bending rigidity also increases along with the fabric density. 2. Tensile energy is a major factor reducing Kishimi. The increase of the fabric density as well as the yarn twist level increases the tensile energy. 3. compressional energy is a major factor reducing Fukurami. Which is an important hand characteristics of New Synthetic Fabrics(Shingosen). The compression energy increases as the yarn twist level 4. Surface characteristic is a major factor for Shari. Geometrical roughness decreases as the fabric density increases and the yam twist level decreases.
가연공정의 제조공법에 따른 고신축성 폴리에스테르 직물의 특성분석 연구

The purpose of this study was to determine the physical charaeteristics of 6 highly stretchable polyester yarns made by SㆍZ Nip belt mechanism and False twisting-after twisting mechanism which are replaceable for Spandex and PBT. The results were as follows: 1.Tenacity of the sample yarns was 7∼8% higher than that of the regular polyester DTY. 2.It was showed that the maximum stretch will be achieved in case that the warp density should be reduced by 10%, considering the shrinkage of the final fabric width since the stretchable yarns are mainly used as the weft yarns. 3.Both wet and dry shrinkage of the sample yarns were 10% higher than those of the regular polyester DTY, PBT, and Spandex. 4.Crimp recovery of the sample yarns were 40%∼200% higher than that of the regular polyester DTY and 20% higher than that of PBT. Therefore, it might be concluded that the sample yarns will be suitable for highly stretchable fabrics for clothings.
