This study was examined for characteristics of acupuncture of LU10 on the abdominal thermography of health subject. The volunteers who participating in this study had taken rest for 20 - 30 mins in room temperature $(23-25^{\circ}C)$ before the examination and informed them what to prohibit smoking, drinking and administration of drug for the previous day. The thermography of abdomen including a below part of the chest was taken using Infra-Red Imaging System (IR 2000, MEDI-CORE Co., Korea) by time interval of 15 minutes at 15 min before, just before and 15 min after, 30 min after and 45 min after acupuncture stimulation. Acupuncture was applied to both LU10 for 30 mins. The results showed that acupuncture of LU10 for 30 mins had more potencies of changes on all the ROIs of abdominal thermography than those of control group. Also, those responses were significantly clear at the A1, A3, A6, A7 and A9 areas. It was observed that the quantities of thermal changes following acupuncture of LU10 been increased significantly comparing that of control group at the all ROIs (region of interest). These effects have more potencies at the upper (A1 and A2) and below (A7, A8, A9) abdominal areas than midline ones (A4, A5, and A6). These results suggest that acupuncture of LU10 having the characteristics of controls of chill and fever (寒熱) may modulate thermal distributions and changes of abdominal areas including the below of chest.
코메트릭스(Coh-metrix)를 이용한 중학교 1학년 개정 영어 교과서의 코퍼스 언어학적 비교 분석

We analyzed eight popular first grade middle school English textbooks with Coh-Metrix, and automated Web-based software tool designed to evaluate text and discourse based on many linguistic and psycholinguistic measures For this, we created a corpus which consists of 101 Unicode text files These text files contained reading materials presented in eight middle school English textbooks Coh-Metrix was applied to investigate differences among the textbooks and differences among the chapters of each textbook in terms of some representative Coh-Metrix measures selected for this study Our findings showed that there were differences among the textbooks in the basic count, word frequency, readability, syntactic complexity, lexical diversity, co-referential coherence, and semantic coherence measures There were also differences among the chapters of each textbook in those Coh-Metrix measures Our findings imply more systematic criteria as well as practical evaluation measures are needed for the design of school English textbooks, they can serve as specific guidelines for textbook writers and later help English teachers select the most appropriate teaching materials for their teaching context
고등학교 영어 교과서 읽기 자료의 코퍼스 언어학적 비교 분석

The purpose of this study was to examine and compare the linguistic features of Korean high school English textbooks to explore similarities and differences of the textbooks developed for the revised national curriculum. For this study, we created a corpus of the reading text materials from seven textbooks and analyzed it using Coh-Metrix, a comprehensive computer tool with a rich set of linguistic measures. The results showed that the ba ic counts, word frequency, readability, syntactic complexity, lexical diversity, semantic cohesion, and coreferential cohesion measures of the reading materials varied greatly across textbooks, indicating the lack of specific guidelines and an evaluating tool to control linguistic feature of text materials. Given these results, implications were drawn regarding the benefit of a corpus-based tool for more effective textbook development.
Coh-Metrix를 이용한 중학교 1학년과 2학년 개정 영어교과서 읽기 자료의 코퍼스 언어학적 연계성 분석

This study investigates the continuity of Korean middle school English textbooks using Coh-Metrix, a computer program that analyzes text and discourse on different components of readability and language. The Coh-Metrix measures for this study includes word frequency, standard readability indices, syntactic complexity, lexical diversity, co-reference cohesion, semantic cohesion, incidence of connectives, incidence of pronouns, basic counts, and word information measures. Our findings show that the continuity of Korean middle school English textbooks is well established based on some Coh-Metrix measures, but it is not well constructed for others. Our findings have implications for the design of school English textbooks. (Konkuk University)

지백지황탕(知柏地黃湯) 약침(藥鍼)이 혈압(血壓)에 미치는 영향(影響)

Objective : This study was performed to investigate the effects of aqua-acupuncture of Jibaikjihwangtang in two-kidney one clip Goldblatt hypertensive rats and spontaneously hypertensive rats. Methods : we injected aqua-acupuncture solution into Shin-Soo ($BL_{23}$) which corresponds to human acupuncture point in two-kidney one clip Goldblatt hypertensive rats and spontaneously hypertensive rats. Systolic blood pressure, renin activity, aldosterone and atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) plasma levels were tested. Results : Systolic blood pressure decreased significantly after aqua-acupuncture of jibaikjihwangtang. Acupuncture group in two-kidney one clip Goldblatt hyper-tensive rats had deference with control group. In plasma levels of atrial natriuretic peptide, acupuncture group of spontaneously hypertensive rats increased meaningfully but to two-kidney one clip Goldblatt hypertensive rats it was decreased meaningfully. In Serum Aldosterone density, the acupuncture group of spontaneously hypertensive rats had significant alteration than control group, but the acupuncture group of two-kidney one clip Goldblatt hypertensive rats had decreased alteration than control group. Conclusion : According to these results, after Aqua-Acupuncture of Jibaikjihwangtang blood pressure decreased significantly and data suggest that blood pressure reduction activity connected with renin activity reduction in renal hypertensive rat.
Auto-Kohesion 시스템의 언어적 측정치에 기반한 과학교과서 분석

교과서를 통한 학습의 효율성을 극대화하기 위해서는 교과서 텍스트의 특성이 학습자의 발달수준에 맞추어 조절되어야 한다. 동일 학년 내의 학습자의 발달 수준은 일정할 것이라 가정할 때, 동일 학년 내 여러 교과서 간 텍스트 특성에는 유의미한 차이가 없어야 한다. 본 연구는 과학교과서 텍스트에 이러한 원리가 잘 반영되어 있는지를 알아보기 위하여 수행되었다. 먼저, 중학교 1, 2, 3학년 과학교과서 각 5, 5, 4종(총 14종)의 본문 텍스트를 추출하였다. 그 다음, 각 학년별 여러 교과서 간 텍스트 특성에 차이가 있는지를 알아보기 위하여, 한국어 텍스트 분석 프로그램인 Auto-Kohesion 시스템이 제공하는 20개의 언어적 측정치(e.g., 기본 측정치, 어휘 관련 측정치, 통사적 복잡성 측정치 및 정합성 관련 측정치)에 대해 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 모든 학년에 대해 2-3개의 측정치를 제외한 대부분의 측정치에 대해 출판사 간 변이가 유의미하게 나타나지 않았다. 이러한 결과는 동일 학년 내 학습자들이 어떤 교과서를 통해 학습하더라도 학습 효과에는 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않을 것이라는 점을 시사한다. 본 연구의 결과는 과학교과서 개발 및 효과적인 과학교육 설계에 대한 함의점을 제시한다. Learning outcomes can be determined by the degree to which text features are adjusted to the level of the expected readership. Given that the developmental level of readers within each grade level is expected to be static, text features across textbooks within each grade by different publishers need to be similar. The current study aims to investigate whether this systematic principle is well reflected in science textbooks. For doing so, this study extracts science textbooks for junior high schools of grades 1 to 3 (by 4, 4, 5 different publishers respectively). Then, the textbooks were analyzed on 20 different linguistic measures (e.g., basic measures, lexical measures, syntactic measures, and cohesion-related measures) provided by a Korean text analysis tool, Auto-Kohesion. The major findings showed that the differences among the textbooks by different publishers proved statistically insignificant on the majority of the linguistic measures. These results suggest that learning efficiency is not significantly affected by the choice of the textbooks within each grade level. This study has pedagogical implications for the development for science textbooks and the design of science education.
