The work described in this paper is to study the effect of fuel Repid Vapor Pressure(RVP) and fuel species on vehicle exhaust gas and evaporation emission.<br/> The results showed that a reduction in fuel RVP gave benefits in CO and a bit of NOx, but no effect on exhaust THC emission. The benefits for CO and NOx were greater in non-oxygenated fuel. At high RVP MTBE addition gave reductions in CO and a bit of NOx emissions but at low RVP no emission reductions were observed.<br/> Evaporative test result indicated a reduction in diurnal emission with reduced RVP but RVP had no statistically significant effect on hot soak emissions.<br/>

In this study we are understand for the global fuel trend and identify components of typical bio-fuels and estimate both fuel properties and impacts on vehicles. For this study, also an experimental investigation was conducted to analyze the effects of diesel fuel dilution ratio, fuel vapor characteristics and carbon deposit quantities on intake valve seat in 4 cylinder gasoline engine. In this paper, the study for other fuel properties such as the mixed fuel with methanol and DME, it was not conducted but we will studies of the fuel properties and impacts on vehicle in the future.

The component analysis of engine oi1 is an essential process during engine development period in the automotive companies. Fuel dilution monitoring is particularly important in diesel engines equipped wi th post treatment system like DPF and Nox catalyst. Because it lowers the viscosity of the oil, sometimes to the extent that lubrication fails and severe wear takes place. In this study, diesel engine durability tests were performed using one diesel engine until 880 times and authors analyzed the properties of tested oil samples to inspect the rate of increase fuel dilution in the oil and wear rate of parts in the diesel engine.

In order to cope with more stringent emission regulation and durability requirement, it is necessary to reduce engine oil(lubricant) consumption to extend engine oil life and to enhance reliability of engine durability. The component analysis of engine oil is an essential method for these purposes during engine development period in the automative companies. In this study, chemical component analysis results of engine oil samples are presented during engine durability tests of two gasoline engines to suggest sampling method. analysis procedure and analysis method for engine oil of passenger vehicles.

The composition analysis of engine lubricants is one of the essential methods for these purposes in the automotive companies. A monitoring procedure of engine lubricants is suggested in this paper by the literature survey and experiences. It includes the analysis equipments, sampling method, analysis method, and cause analysis with examples.

Also, the test items are performed which element, viscosity and soot content by TGA for oil condition monitoring.

The high fuel dilution in engine oil causes oil viscosity reduction and it is a serious impact on engine wear by oil lubricative degradation. This paper describes the study of engine wear status trough understanding for engine oil degradation degrees and uses one 2.0 liters diesel engine and one vehicle with 2.0 liters diesel engine for these tests. To measure reliable fuel dilution, GC-SIMDIS was used. And to the elements analysis, Spectrometer was used. Also, Engine oil sample test was performed on both the manufactured new engine oil samples for base data set-up and used oil samples from engine bench and fleet vehicle.
