In this paper, we identify risk factors that are likely to occur during the lifecycle of a new product development (NPD) project from the literatures, and identify the three objectives or three constraints that will ultimately be achieved for project success in the ICT industry : performance (scope/quality), schedule (time), and cost. Firstly, we interviewed the project experts to classify the risk factors according that the final project objectives are changeable based on scope/quality, time and cost budget constraints. Secondly, the survey for pairwise comparisons between the risk factors was asked to the project managers and members who had ever actually participated in the NPD projects of ICT industry to determine the priority ranks on relative importance using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). The risk factors negatively affecting the goals of projects were analyzed by using the AHP respectively in four project stages during the life cycle of the project. The comparison of risk factors within each stage is a different approach unlike the literatures which have covered project’s overall risk assessment. There is an advantage that risk management can be effectively performed with priorities according to each stage from the start to the end of the project. In other words, it is necessary to identify what risk factors will occur in each stage, and to have ideas at each stage with the priorities so that they can be mitigated and eliminated before actual occurrence. As a result, risks on scope & quality changes were found to be the most important considerations for initiative stage of NPD projects in the ICT industry, whereas in the final stage, risks on schedule (time) changes were the most important priorities. Among the ICT industry product categories, ‘communication and broadcasting devices’ and ‘IT and communication based devices’ generally have a high priority in terms of risks on scope & quality changes when initiating the project. At the closing stage of the project, however, considering that schedule (time) changeable risk is getting higher, these products tend to target at B2B market rather than B2C because the new products must be delivered and launched in time as customer firm required.

For steel structure, it generally prefers to use the concept of ultimate load design rather than elastic design. So, a study on the elasto-plastic behaviour of beam with rectangular hole in the web is presented here. The nonlinear finite element schemes was used.
균열면에 수압을 받는 중력식 콘크리트 댐의 파괴거동에 관한 연구

콘크리트 중력댐 상부면의 균열에 작용하는 수압의 영향을 주로 고려하여 댐의 파괴거동을 조사하였다. 첫째, 표면적분법에 의하여 응력확대계수를 구하는 경우에 작용하는 수압의 형태를 등분포형태 외에, 삼각형 분포 및 포물선분포도 고려하여 보았다. 둘째, FRANC(FRacture Analysis Code)를 이용하여 균열면에 작용하는 수압의 형태에 따른 기존균열의 전파방향을 추적하였다. 셋째, 월류수위 아래에서 균열이 전파되지 않을 수 있는 한계균열길이를 수압의 분포형태에 따라 구분하여 구하여 보았다. 표면적분법으로 수압의 형태에 따라 응력확대계수를 구한 결과는 FRANC를 이용하여 얻어진 결과와 비교 되었으며 비교적 잘 일치함을 알 수 있었다. 균열면에 작용하는 수압의 형태가 삼각형분포의 경우에 균열의 전파방향은 등분포의 경우에 비하여 댐의 기초쪽으로 기우는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 또한 월류수위 아래에서 한계균열길이는 댐높이의 대략 2/5-1/2되는 곳에서 최대가 됨을 알 수 있었다. The fracture behaviour of concrete gravity dam mainly due to uplift pressure acting at the crack face was studied. Triangular type and parabolic type distribution of the uplift pressure including uniform type were first considered in case of calculating stress intensity factor(SIF) by the surface integral method. Second, the directions of crack propagation according to the uplift pressure distribution were pursued by FRANC(FRacture ANalysis Code). Third, critical crack lengths according to the uplift pressure distribution under the overflow depth were calculated. The SIF values obtained from the surface integral method were compared with those by FRANC and relatively good agrements could be obtained between both of them. And it could be seen that the direction of crack propagation in case of triangular pressure distribution was a little benter to the dam base than the one by the uniform type. Maximum critical crack lengths under the overflow depth were obtained at about 2/5-1/2 of the dam height.

In case of a thick, circular cylinder which has different temperatures at internal and external surfaces, the steady state temperaure distribution throughout the solids can be obtained easily by the theoretical formula. But, when a few ducts whose axes coincide with that of the cylinder for a coolant are set up within it, for the purpose of falling down the temperature of the solid, calculations of temperatures are considerably complicated. So,the finite element method using plane or axisymmetrical elements to solve heat conduction problem within the cylinder was studied in here.
In-Process Monitoring of Micro Resistance Spot Weld Quality using Accelerometer

This study is to propose an in-process monitoring system for micro resistance spot welding processes using minute accelerometer. A minute accelerometer is mounted on the upper moving electrode tip holder. With its high sensitivity and frequency response characteristics, accelerometer output signal has been successfully recorded and integrated twice to reflect electrode expansion during micro spot welding processes. The analysis of electrode expansion pattern was attempted to find its correlation with spot weld quality. Major previous findings1-6) regarding spot weld quality assessment with the electrode expansion signal in large scale resistance spot welding processes were proved to be true in this in-process monitoring system.

An analysis of rectangular-beam with wide rectangular hole in the web is presented here. A method used is Finite Element Method. The result is compared with the one which has been investigated by photoelastic analysis before.
