        한국어 교육용 반의어의 개념 설정 및 목록선정에 관한 연구 - 중급 범용적 반의어 목록 선정의 예-

        This study aimed at exploring the concept of the antonym especially for thepurpose of Korean education and selecting the antonym list for the learners inthe intermediate level. First, A slightly modified concept of antonym for theKorean education was suggested through reviewing studies in the field of Koreanlinguistics. Secondly, a list made up of 159 candidate words was suggested basedon the words in The Content Development for Korean Vocabulary Education(Intermediate level, by The National Institute of the Korean Language) with otherantonym lists in preceding studies and dictionaries. Thirdly, a meaningfulantonym list was suggested based on the 73 words that have multi antonymwords in regard of frequency of the appearance of collocation of the antonympairs in question. Finally, a antonym list for the intermediate level based ongeneral topics of Korean education was suggested.

        『한국어기초사전』의 뜻풀이 개선 방안 연구 - 명사 표제어를 중심으로 -

        본 연구에서는 국립국어원에서 구축 및 운영해 오고 있는 『한국어기초사전』에서의 뜻풀이 원칙과 뜻풀이 구조의 체계적인 개선을 위한 방향에 대해 논의하고자 하였다. 전체 표제어 중 명사를 중심으로 이들의 뜻풀이를 정교화하기 위한 방향을 제시하고, 이를 예시를 들어 살폈다. 본고에서는 크게 두 가지 작업을 진행하였다. 첫째, 선행 연구에서 논의된 뜻풀이 기술의 원칙과 사전의 뜻풀이 지침 검토에 대한 논의를 거쳐 학습자 사전에서 지향하여야 할 뜻풀이 기술의 원칙의 방향을 제안하였다. 그 결과 학습자 사전에서는 일반 국어사전보다 ‘구체성, 실용성, 용이성’이 추구되어야 할 필요성이 도출되었다. 둘째, 학습자 사전인 『한국어기초사전』의 명사 표제어 뜻풀이를 대상으로 하여, 뜻풀이 유형별로 어떻게 정비될 수 있을지를 논의하였다. 이를 위하여 뜻풀이에 사용된 상위어 메타어 빈도 분석, 뜻풀이 전체에 대한 어절 빈도 분석, 유의어 추출 방법이 사용되었다. This study aims to discuss the systematic refinement of the principles of definitions and the structure of definitions in the “Korean Basic Dictionary,” which has been developed and operated by the National Institute of the Korean Language. Specifically, the focus lies on the organization of sense definitions, primarily within nouns among the entire headword set, with illustrative examples provided for elucidation. The present paper undertakes two major tasks. Firstly, through a review of the principles of definition description discussed in prior researches and examinations of the guidelines for definitions in dictionaries, it proposes a direction for the principles of definition description to be pursued in learner’s dictionaries. Consequently, the need for “specificity, authenticity, and user-friendliness(easy meta words)” emerged as essential qualities to be prioritized in learner’s dictionaries as opposed to other dictionaries. Secondly, the discussion centers on how sense definitions for noun headword in the learner’s dictionary “Korean Basic Dictionary” can be organized according to various sense definition types. To accomplish this, methodologies such as frequency analysis of hypernyms used in definitions, word frequency analysis for the entire sense definitions, and synonym extraction methods were employed.

        문법 항목 설명에 관한 원형 이론적 접근- ‘-을게(요)’를 중심으로 -

        This study introduced the prototype theory, one of the cognitive linguistic approaches, to solve the following pedagogical tasks: 1) which of the functions of grammar items should be taught?, 2) which of the functions of the grammar item should be taught first?, 3) how do you teach the relationship between the functions of grammatical forms?. Prototype theory is an approach that explains categorization, and explains that the category consists of the prototype and its peripheries. By investigating how close the peripheries are to the prototype, the keys to the difficulty setting issues related to pedagogical task 1), and 2) above, and polysemy issues related to pedagogical task 3) above could be founded. ‘-Eulge(yo)’, one of Korean sentence final endings, was examined to show this example. Through the review of previous literature, the prototype functions was revealed, and the frequency and sample sentences of ‘-eulge(yo)’ in a spoken corpus were analyzed. It was founded that the grammatical feature and polysemy of ‘-eulge(yo)’ can be explained by investigating the similarity between the prototype function of ‘-eulge(yo)’ and its peripheral functions. .

        한국어 의지·의도 표현들의 의미 비교 - ‘-겠-’, ‘-을 것이-’, ‘-을게(요)’, ‘-을래(요)’를 중심으로 -

        The Purpose of This Study is to Clarify the Difference between the Expressions of Intention, which are ‘-겠-’, ‘-을 것이-’, ‘-을게(요)’, ‘-을래(요)’. To achieve this purpose, this study critically reviewed preceding literatures on the modality and intention expressions, and several Korean grammar books. Through this process, this study revealed how to tell the difference among those expressions in terms of modal meanings. First, four forms can be divided into ‘-을 것이-’ and the rest three forms by asking this question: Is the contents of the sentence (the future action) what is decided on the moment of speaking or before the speaking?. The forms, ‘-겠-’, ‘-을게(요)’, ‘-을래(요)’ are used when the speaking time and the resolution time is identified, otherwise ‘-을 것이다’ would be chosen. Secondly, if the speaker recognizes or cares the listener’s wish or intention, they would use ‘-을게(요)’, ‘-을래(요)’, but if it is not so, s/he would use ‘-겠-’ which is unmarked form regarding to it. Thirdly, if the speaker says his/her own will, accepting the wish or intention of the listener, s/he would use ‘-을게(요)’, otherwise ‘-을래(요)’ would be used. Since this study simplifies the differences among those forms, the better description of the meaning for those expressions of intention could be provided in the field of Korean education.

        한국인 대학생 대상 교재와의 비교를 통한 외국인 유학생 대상 학술 글쓰기 교재 분석 - 학업 기술과 교육 내용 분석을 중심으로

        본 연구의 목적은 외국인 유학생 대상 글쓰기 교재와 한국 대학생 대상 교양 글쓰기 교재의 비교를 통하여 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 한 글쓰기 교재 개발 및 개선에필요한 내용을 제안하는 것이다. 본고에서는 학술 글쓰기를 위해 필요한 내용 및 학업 기술을 선행 연구를 통하여 목록화한 후, 외국인 유학생과 한국인 대학생을 위한학술 글쓰기 교재에 해당 내용 및 기술의 출현 여부를 확인하여 태깅하고 그 결과를비교 분석하여 기술하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 학술 글쓰기를 위한 학업기술의 평균 중복도가 한국인 대상 쓰기 교재에서는 비교적 높게 나타났으며, 외국인대상 교재에서는 비교적 낮게 나타났다. 둘째, 외국인 대상 쓰기 교재에서는 장르 관습과 관련된 기술이 더 자세하며 구체적인 범주로 제시되어 있다. 셋째, 한국인 대상교재와 비교하면 외국인 대상 쓰기 교재에서 소홀히 다루고 있는 부분은 창의성 부분이다. 넷째, 외국인 대상 교재에서는 학술 글쓰기에 필요한 세 영역 중에서 ‘글쓰기 형식과 내용’에, 한국인 대상 교재에서는 ‘글쓰기 과정’에 초점을 맞추는 경향을 보인다. 위와 같은 결과를 통해 볼 때, 앞으로 외국인 유학생들을 위한 학술 글쓰기 교재에서는 단순한 언어 형식, 기능을 넘어서 ‘창의성’을 반영하고, 글쓰기 ‘과정’을 지도하는 방향으로 내용이 구성되어야 할 필요가 있을 것으로 보인다. 이를 위해서는 외국인 대상 쓰기 교재에, ‘비판적으로 읽은 후 쓰기’, ‘보고서 주제 탐색하기’, ‘바꿔 쓰기’ 가 보완, 심화되어야 할 것이다.

        The purpose of this paper is to derive the competencies that can be used in training programs for foreign Korean Language instructors and researchers through prior literature analysis, and then analyze the survey results based on this to suggest implications for future similar seminars. This paper revealed the capabilities for researchers and instructors in Korean language education and Korean language studies through the first and second analysis of previous studies: `research competency', `knowledge competency', `self-development competency', `community participation', `education competency', and `affective competence'. It is expected that the six competencies and implications of result analysis derived in this paper will be widely used in training programs for foreign Korean Language researchers and instructors. .

        한국어 문법 항목의 의미 기술을 위한 연구 - 문법서의 종결어미 뜻풀이를 중심으로 -

        The aim of this study is to conduct an inductive analysis of the metalinguistic terms employed in explicating the meaning of verb endings in Korean grammar dictionaries. This analysis serves as a foundation for the future development of a systematic framework for verb ending definitions. The research questions addressed in this paper can be summarized as follows. The first pertains to the classification of metalinguistic terms used in defining verb endings, while the second is concerned with providing a structured framework for verb ending definitions. To address these questions, this paper collected and inputted 13,884 lexical entries associated with 826 meaning categories of verb endings and their corresponding inflectional paradigms from three widely-used Korean grammar dictionaries. Subsequently, the constructed corpus data was tagged and analyzed across five domains: 'Discourse Participant,' 'Discourse Situation,' 'Discourse Content,' 'Dialogue Attitude,' and 'Discourse Function.' This research has provided insights into the strategies employed in explaining verb endings within Korean grammar dictionaries and, through statistical analysis, observation, and examination of the metalinguistic terms used in meaning descriptions, has laid the groundwork for the systematic development of verb ending definitions in the future.

        시간 부사 ‘이미’ 연구

        The purpose of this study is to identify a temporal adverb ‘imi’ in terms of the sphere it belongs to, the relations of co-occurrence with tense and situation types, and the meaning. To achieve this purpose, this study critically reviewed preceding researches which suggested that ‘imi’ be an aspectual adverb, and examined certain example sentences with respect to the relations of co-occurrence with the types of tense and situation types. Based on the findings from this process, this study revealed the meaning of ‘imi’. Although in many preceding researches the adverb ‘imi’ is identified as an aspectual verb, this study revealed that ‘imi’ cannot be limited only to an aspectual verb. This adverb needs to be seen in the various aspects. In chapter 3.1., it is examined that the relations of co-occurrence between ‘imi’ and tense grammatical forms with sample sentences. ‘Imi’ could co-occur with past, present, and future tense. A noteworthy phenomenon here was the relations of co-occurrence between ‘imi’ and future tense, which showed that ‘imi’ confine the meaning of the future to the guess of speaker not the will of speaker. In doing so, a hypothesis that “‘imi’ requires reference time.” can be established. On the other hand, chapter 3.2 examined the example sentences with respect to situation types suggested by Smith(1991/1997). A certain situation type could not co occur with ‘imi’, but in this case a little manipulation could made the co-occurrences very natural. In the course of doing so, a hypothesis above could be developed like following. “The ‘imi’ clause requires a reference time of which an event may influence to(or make different) the situation, and the point of time indicated by ‘imi’ is before the reference time.”Chpater 4.2 discussed the meaning of ‘imi’ based on the findings above. For convenience of discussion, this study introduced the signs and concepts from Michaelis(1992): RI(the event which can change the ‘imi’ clause situation), AS(the state of ‘imi’ clause), and AS'(the state of an event which can change the ‘imi’ clause situation). This study invented a function relation, “f(x) = AS′(RI)”. The possible results were two types: ① AS′(RI)=AS, ② AS′(RI)≠AS. In conclusion, the meaning of ‘imi’ clause can be divided into two. In the case of ①, ‘imi’ clause refers to that “there is no need any RI(the event which can change the ‘imi’ clause situation). In the case of ②, ‘imi’ clause refers to the situation which cannot be helped. In this context, this study shed new light on the role of reference time in the temporal adverb ‘imi’ and revealed the possibility that ‘imi’ can be seen as a versatile adverb in terms of categories of aspect and modality.
