In these day, the importance of vehicle safety is more and more grown than past years. So that each of country made the RULE for evaluating the vehicle safety, we call it as NCAP (New Car Assessment Program). There was so many evaluation regions in NCAP safety evaluation, Lower Tibia index is important index in frontal crash test and it is closely related with the footrest design. Among the NCAP tests, ANCAP test was evaluated Australia vehicle with RHD and RHD vehicle has more severe package in Lower leg area. Therefore, on this paper we will consider the optimization design of footrest to reduce the lower Tibia injury at ANCAP offset frontal impact using the finite elements model and real crash test result.

The ATD EuroSID-2 (ES-2) used for lateral impact test mode in EuroNCAP, which is responsible for the new car safety assessment until 2014. And then the ATD was changed to World SID since 2015. But EuroSID-2 is still used at lateral impact test in some NCAP in the current. The EuroSID-2 back-plate is one of the load paths that can impact a risk of injury to the dummy chest with rib deflection in the lateral impact test. The EuroSID-2 back-plate load cell in lateral impact test is determined the modifier by measuring the load of the lateral direction for the NCAP assessment. The high load can be measured in the back-plate, even if the rib deflection is reduced. Reducing back-plate load as well as rib deflection is a way to reduce thoracic injury. This results show that back-plate injuries of ATD EuroSID-2 are influenced by the deployment of lap belt and shoulder belt pretensioner in the lateral impact.

In this study, flow characteristics has been investigated by changing the impeller design parameter of submersible mixer. A commercial program, SC-Tetra was used to analyze the flow characteristic of submersible mixer. The performance of the submersible mixer is related to the velocity diffusion profiles of the impeller and required input motor power to mix the fluid. The relation of the design parameter and performance of submersible mixer has been studied by comparing each flow analysis resolution of various design parameters such as the blade diameter, inlet angle, revolution speed. The influence of design parameter on submersible mixer has been investigated through the flow analysis for the various models because to the difference of the sweep direction of blades, chord length, and inlet blade angle. This study is helpful to design more effective submersible mixer.
