EMG multiplexor를 이용한 팔꿈치관절 굽힘동작의 생체역학적 분석

There are four flexor muscles at the elbow-biceps brachii, brachialis, brachioradialis, pronator teres. The objectives of this study are to investigate the variations of the recruitment patterns of the four muscles, and to analyze bionechanically the changes of the role assigned to each muscle during elbow flexion. The transition point of type f motor unit of each muscle is inferred by analyzing the electromyogram at the initial stage of exertion. Also, for predetermined exertion levels, the re cruitment pattern and changes of the role asigned are iedntified. It shoud be noted that an EMG multiplexor is developed and the four elbow flexors have been simultaneously measured with it.

Muscular power and fatigue are directly related to safety of worker and productivity, especially in manual material handing (MMH) work. EMG (electromyograph) analysis is an engineering approach to represent the muscular power and fatigue. This paper aimed to develop an on-line experiment and analysis method to abstract muscles recruited and to conjecture a threshold level of exertion of each muscle in human movement. To achieve this goal, a EMG multiplexor and data analysis packages were built.

Assembly workstation with work table and operator chair was designed by systematic application of work characteristics-range of motion, work measurement, work posture-and characteristics-Anthropometric data, Psychological preference. With specific attention given to the reduction of muscle fatigue related to the shoulder movement. So that slope adjustment of work space, assembly part holder and other supporting device was also developed. Operator chair was designed to dynamically support the posture changes during operation with lumbar support, lateral support and special plate-springs. Reduction in muscle fatigue (80%), increase in productivity (37%), and reduction in defective rate (40%) was reported in the field test with mock-up station.
작업 속성과 작업자 특성을 반영한 작업자 배치 모델 개발에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to develop a worker assignment model based on human performance characteristics and task factors in an assembly line. The Match System consists of three modules: - Evaluation of operator based on the ergonomic principles, - Optimal match between performance characteristics and task factors, - Optima assembly sequence of parts within an operator. Given numbers of assembly parts and crew size, the model provides both an optimal number of parts and the sequence for each operator. Validation of the model was carried out in a printed circuit board (PCB) assembly line in which twenty operators assembled 150 electronic parts. The result which was compared after three days of application showed significant improvement both in productivity (30~60%) and in defective rate (23%). The results of the study suggest that job assignment scheme based on ergonomic principles may further improve the traditional Time-Motion analysis.

Occupational disease among typists such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) and tendonitis has increased along with the rapid expansion of office automation. During typing, the posture can be defined as forearm pronation, ulnar abduction, wrist extension and finger flexion. The CTS results from awkward posture between forearm-wrist-hand and the keyboard arrangement. Therefore, ergonomic principles should be emphasized in keyboard design. The objective of the study is to improve keyboard design by analyzing anatomical posture of forearm and hand during typing. An experimental study was performed to investigate relationships between a keyboard and typing performance. Results showed that typing performance is dependent to angles and slopes of a keyboard. Statistcal analysis indicated that the suggested ergonomic keyboard improved typing speed significantly(17%).
