병원의 조직문화유형과 조직유효성간의 관계에 관한 연구 - 1개 c대학교 병원을 중심으로 -

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between the pattern of organizational culture and organizational effectiveness in hospital. The research aims to provide the basic data necessary for the management of organizational culture or organizational development to enhance the organizational effectiveness This research design was a descriptive correlational study. 514 subjects were consisted of nurses,pharmacologists, technicians, and general staff who were working in a university hospital at K city. The data were collected from September 20 to October 20,1996 by using self-reported questionnaire. 4 instruments used in this study were Likert-type scales, which were organizational culture pattern scale by Kim berly & Quinn(1984), organizational commitment scale by Mowday et al(1979), job satisfaction scale by Shin (1979), and organizational adjustment scale by Shin (1987). The data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson s correlation coefficient & stepwise multiple regression. The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1. When four patterns of organizational culture were compared, the highest culture pattern was hierarchical culture(mean = 3.59) and the lowest was developmental one(mean=2.91) on a five point scale. Among organizational effectiveness variables, organizational commitment mean score was 3.26, job satisfaction, 3.21, organizational adjustment, 3.36. 2. In relation to divisional group, there was significant difference in hierarchical culture(F=10.65, p<.001), rational culture(F=5.85, p<.001), &. group culture(F=5.16, p<.01). 3. In relation to hierarchical status, there was significant difference in developmental culture(F=49.11, p<.001), rational culture(F=14.03, p<.001), & group culture (F=18.39, pC.001). 4. There was significantly a positive correlation between developmental culture and organizational commitment(r=.611, p<.000), between developmental culture and job satisfaction(r=.548, p<.000), and between developmental culture and organizational adjustment(r=.473, p<.000). 5. There was significantly a positive correlation between group culture and organizational commitment(r=.487, pC.OO0), between group culture and job satisfaction(r=.564, p<.000), and between group culture and organizational adjustment (r=.411, p<.000). 6. Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed that developmental &. group culture accounted for 38.3% of organizational commitment variance, group & developmental culture accounted for 38.3% of job satisfaction variance, and developmental, hierarchical & group culture accounted for 27.5% of organizational adjustment variance.

Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of an evidence-based nursing (EBN) course using action learning-based team learning in undergraduate nursing students. Methods: A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design was employed. The participants who consented were 45 second-year nursing students (22 in the experimental, 23 in the control group) from a university in G-city, Korea. The intervention included lectures, practicals, team activities and reflection on overviewing EBN, formulating clinical questions, searching the evidence, and criticizing the research articles. At the beginning and the end of the 7-week EBN course, the participants completed self-reported questionnaires. Frequencies, χ2-test, t-test, and ANCOVA with the SPSS program 18.0, were used to analyze the data. Results: The experimental group showed significantly higher scores on EBN competency (F=25.80, p<001), information literacy (F=13.75, p=.001), and proactivity in problem solving (F=5.32, p=.026) than the control group. Conclusion: This study provides evidence that an EBN course improves undergraduate nursing students EBN competencies, information literacy, and proactivity in problem solving. Team learning in EBN education can be an effective teaching strategy.

Purpose:This study was conducted to identify the effects of an action learning based creative problem-solving (CPS) course on problem solving, creativity and team-member exchange in nursing students. Methods: A quasi-experimental study applying a non-equivalent control group pre-post design was employed. Sophomore nursing students (32 in the experimental group and 33 in the control group) were recruited from a university in G-city, Korea. Problem solving, creativity and team-member exchange were measured for the pretest and posttest using self-report questionnaires. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Chi-square, Fisher`s exact test, t-test, and ANCOVA with SPSS/Win 20.0 program were used to analyze the data. Results: The scores for problem solving, creativity and team-member exchange in the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group. Conclusion: Results of this study indicate that an action learning based CPS course is an effective teaching method to improve nursing students` competencies. In the future longitudinal studies are needed to assess the long term effects of the course.

This study was designed to identify creation of intellectual capital and factors influencing the creation of intellectual capital in hospital organizations. Methods: A cross-sectional design was used, with a convenience sample of 300 nurses from three general hospitals in Gwangju and South Cholla province. The tools used for this study were scales measuring creation of intellectual capital (8 items), social capital (20 items), knowledge management (8 items). Data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson`s correlation coefficient and regression using the SPSS WIN 18.0 program. Results: There were significantly positive relationships between social capital and knowledge management with creation of intellectual capital. The mean score for creation of intellectual capital in hospital organizations was 4.59 points. Factors influencing creation of intellectual capital in hospital organization were identified as knowledge management (β=.625), shared values & action (β=.166), and participation in civic activities (β=.118). These factors explained 59.3% of the variance in creation of intellectual capital in hospital organizations. Conclusion: The results indicate which factors are major factors influencing creation of intellectual capital and therefore, serve as predictors of creation of intellectual capital in hospital organizations.

Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a nursing leadership program outcome evaluation system, required for accreditation of nursing education. Methods: A methodological design was used. To ensure the theoretical validity of the evaluation system, learning objectives for nursing education programs and job descriptions for nurses in Korea were verified by analyzing the relationships in the five attributes of the nursing leadership concept. The nursing leadership program outcome evaluation system was developed based on the Kim & Park’s developmental model (2008). Results: The nursing leadership program outcome evaluation system was established, including implementation level, education curriculum, level of performance, evaluation method, rubrics, and Close-the-Loop. Conclusion: The developed evaluation system can be actively used in nursing education, and contribute to enhancing the leadership competencies of nursing students and graduate nurses.

The purpose of this study was to identify the major trends in research studies in the Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing Administration from 2010 to 2012. Methods: A review using analysis criteria developed by researchers was done of 132 studies published between 2010 and 2012. Research design, participants, research domain, and keywords were analyzed from the Journal of Korean Nursing Administration. Results: Job satisfaction, stress, organizational commitment, safety, turnover, nursing education, and performance were found to be major keywords. Of the research in the Journal, quantitative methods were used in 93.2% of studies. The major setting and participants were hospitals (58.2%) and nurses (65.5%) respectively. Prevalent analysis methods used were t-test, ANOVA, correlation, regression, chi-square, AMOS, and factor analysis. Major domains in the articles were: controlling, directing, staffing, nursing management education, and professionalism & legal principles. Conclusion: Through this study, the research trends in nursing administration were identified, but there is a need to include more of the following topics in future research: new concepts in nursing policy, enhanced deliberations of IRB, rationalization of the effects in sample size calculations, theoretical development of planning and organizing, and development of interventions for management support of the nursing management process.
