Tenosynovial giant cell tumor of diffuse type(TGCT-D) is a locally aggressive neoplasm that arises in thetendon sheath, bursa, or synovium. It typically involves theappendicular skeleton and rarely involves the axial skeleton. Because there are no specific findings of TGCT-D based onimaging studies or clinical symptoms, TGCT-D can be confusedwith other primary or metastatic bone tumors.We reportfindings of TGCT-D involving the T9 vertebra incidentallydetected on F-18 FDG PET/CT in a patient with papillarythyroid cancer.

This experiment was performed to investigate the leptospiral antibody in dairy cattle with serological test in three areas of Kangwondo from February to June, 1995. Twelve different living antigen's (S icterohemorrhagiae, Lpomona, L hardjo, L australis, L canicola, L autumnalis, L grippotyphosa, L tarassovi, L pyroenes, L bataviae, L hebdomadis and L ballum) of Leptospira interrogans were used for the serological test in dairy cattle. The blood samples of 130 cattle were examinde by microscopic agglutination test. Among the serum samples of the dairy cattle, 5 heads of the dairy cattle (3.8%) were positive. Among the positive samples of 5 heads, 3 heads of dairy cattle (2.3%) showed the antibody of L canicola, 2 heads of dairy cattle (1.5%) showed the antibody of L icterohaemorrhagiae. Positive rate by age was 0% ($\leq $2year), 4.6% (3~4year) and 6.6% ($\geq $5year).

This paper suggests an active sound control system using vibration actuators and microphones, called an active Vibro-acoustic enhancement (AVAE), to obtain a desired engine sound in a vehicle while the vehicle is running up. In this system, the actuator is located on a body panel suitable for transmitting a sufficient level of sound to an interior room. Exciting a thin body panel is advantageous in producing a low frequency sound, but makes it difficult to secure control performance and stability due to the long impulse response function. To overcome this drawback, several methods are adopted for AVAE in addition to the conventional FxLMS algorithm and each effect is compared together in simple noise reduction cases. Finally, this AVAE system is demonstrated through the driving test of a vehicle. From the results, this system is expected to become an alternative way to the active noise control system using acoustic speakers for noise cancellation or target sound tracking in a vehicle.

This paper presents systematic study of the experimental application of a free-interfaced component mode synthesis method. In the free-interfaced component mode synthesis method, an error the to truncated higher modes and neglected ineria loadings on a component from the connected component is inherent. Also, it is difficult to directly use experimental modal data in a modal synthesis method which links experimental model to finite-element model because of many inconsistencies between experimentally obtained and analytically obtained modal vectors and missing degrees-of-freedom (DOFs) such as rotational DOFs. In order to solve these problems, three methods, the first one based on attaching auxiliary weights to the connection points, the second one utillizing the normalization of experimental modal vector, and the third one generating smoothed and expanded experimental mode shapes, are studied in this paper. Finally, the study is illustrated for a flat-plate structure by using simulated and measured experimental data.

This study undertaken in order investigate the effects of electro-acupuncture for the dogs with traumatic paralysis of hindquarters. The kind of dogs with paralysis of hindquarters used in this study were 12 bilaterals, 5 right sides, and 4 left sides, but all dogs were without bone injury on X-ray. Electro-acupuncture was performed with a current of 2-4 Volts and 25Hz at the acupuncture point of Tchuk-Joong(positive), Back-Hoe(negative), and Sam-Eum Kyo(negative) for 25-30 minutes a day. The definition of "effectiveness" was stand up alone, "ineffectiveness" was impossible to stand up alone. 1. The 21 cases appyling electro-acupuncture resulted in 14 effectiveness(67%) and 7 ineffectiveness(33%). 2. It was judged that the combination of acupuncture points to Tchuk-Joong, Back-Hoe, and Sam-Eum Kyo was effective for the dogs with paralysis of hindquarters. 3. It was recognized that the effects of electro-acupuncture was good in the traumatic neurologic disturbance without bone injury.
