Technical-vocational education programs in British, Frence, German. Japan and United States of America are Studied. The historical, social and economical back ground, technical-vocational education programs as a part of total education system, curriculum organization and technical-vocational teacher training programs in each country are intensively studied and analyzed. Study was conducted for a year by reviewing previous studies and visiting various type of institutes in the selected countries and interviewing with professional staff. Technical-vocational programs in the western countries are closely linked with industries, unions and professional bodies at the stage of program planning, curriculum development and evaluation. Cooperaive program, sandwich program and continuous programs are specially well organized and effectively operated in those countries. Projects, jobs in the workshop are directly related with what they are expected to work upon the completion of the training program and theories are also closely related with the shop work and taught in the shop classes. Modern instructional medias are adapted to make teaching-learning process attractive and effective. Technical-vocational teachers are required to have some years of industry experience and professional studies are much emphasized to be certificated. Employers and industry people in Korea must pay their much attention to the technical high school in order to improve the training programs for their own benifit. It is not wise to expect well trained employees without participating to the training program improvement activities in the technical high schools.
n-Hexane에 依한 米糠蠟油의 抽出에 關한 理論的 硏究

The effect of extraction of rice bran wax oil withn-Hexane was investigated theoretically. Then the accuracy of the experimental data were compared that of theory by the Hirata, Campbell, Hand and Treybal plot. From this comparision, the following were concluded. At the range of solvent ration 2∼6, the experimental data were regarded correct, but below the solvent ratio 1 and above the solvent ratio 7, the experimental data were considered very incorrect. Calculating the selectivity of the extraction about different solvent ratio, the following were concluded. In the extraction of rice bran wax oil with n-Hexane, the effect of extraction for the separation of wax is more effective than that for the separation of oil.

In order to find the effective teaching method of the natural science subjects in the university level, the project method wsa applied to the actual university classes as a experimental basis. The experimented subjects were "Teaching Method in the Industrial Education"of 3 classes, and "Manufacturing Practices"of 2 classes. The findings of this study are summarized as follows; 1. The project method gives the students much learing motivations and cooperative working habits. 2. The project method gives the students problem solving abilities through creativity and thinking power. 3. The project method is better than the course method in terms of learning content understanding and time utilization of the students. 4. The projet method is not suitable to the class which has a large number of students. 5. The problem level of project should be fitted to the time duration and the level of student' s ability. 6. The more studies are needed in order to generalize the project method to the other subjects.

Many studies have been reported recently on the thermostable carbon and graphite fiber of high strength and elasticity at high temperature, as the industrial materials of specified objectives, but these studies have been restricted and hard to control tecnically for their fibriform properties in the aspects of developing their utilities. In this study, the most favorable conditions of carbonization and graphitization of sample(Mulberry paper) were found out and investigated about transformation of the properties through the processes of carbonizing and graphitizing. Papery graphite has lower strength comparable with fibriform graphite, as expected, but it can be used as fireproofing materials with enough available strength of carbon-carbon composite in particular uses at high temperature. Through the investigation on of new conditions of carbonizing and graphitizing, high quality of graphite paper will be prospective, and the characteristics of prepared carbon and graphite paper can be controled easily function of temperature, consequently, the most favorable conditions of carbonizing and graphitizing of sample could be determined from investigating physical properties and thermal analysis.
國産粘土質 및 珪酸質鑛物을 利用한 無機材料의 開發에 關한 硏究 : 各種纖維의 加工處理를 위한 Hydrogel의 製造와 應用

Soduble species bi-producing in the synthesis of analcite making use of domestic clay and silicate minerals are recovered. And the usefulness as inorganic materials for textile finishing was investigated. The results are summerized as follows; 1. Hydrosol from bentontonite ore have a good effect for textile finishing. 2. The soil-resistant effect for cloth treating with hydrosol from bentonite ore is compared with organic dispersants. 3. The breaking strength is increased about 30% by treatment to each fibers in rope and also elongation is controlled same as raw materials.
