HEV(Hybrid Electrical Vehicle)s are considered as one of the next generation vehicles. To develop the HEV, there must be a reliable simulator, by which the capacities of the power sources are tested, and the parameters of the HEV are optimized before developing the real model of the HEVs. This process can save money for designing the HEV system and improve the system without experiments. Nowadays, traction of railway vehicles is usually provided by diesel fuel combustion. Hybridization offers the potential to achieve a step change in energy efficiency and we also need to develop simulators for performance test of hybrid railway vehicles. In this paper, the type of hybrid drive system is introduced, the characteristics of railway series hybrid system are compared with those of series hybrid vehicle system. A couple of simulators for performance test of HEV are introduced, the idea of constructing railway series hybrid system simulator using MATLAB SIMDRIVELINE is also introduced.

In this paper, we analyzed the steering performance of heavy duty tracked vehicle. Especially, we analyzed the effect to the steering system by added load. The Hooke’s model were used for calculation of road load. also, the concept of steering gear ratio(iSg) were used.

This paper presents the slip control strategy of a torque converter clutch to improve fuel consumption. There are four kinds of simple method to control a clutch interface in an automatic transmission vehicles. One of them, the proposed slip control strategy introduces briefly the rule of control scheme. The other method simulates to investigate the fuel consumption of lockup clutch according to enlarge slip operating region. The faster lock up clutch engages in a low operating region and shifting gear, the better the fuel consumption of vehicle improves. Although simulation was carried out not to consider the vehicle dynamic performance and drivability, The result of simulation verify the fuel consumption improvement from each control strategy method.

CVT(Continuously Variable Transmission) is one of the most promising candidates for the future automobile transmission because of its continuously variable gear ratio and reduced shift shock. It is also possible to operate the power source at its high efficiency region with CVT. The CVT system consists of thrust plate, driving pulley, belt, driven pulley, and preload spring of output shaft. In this paper, the dynamic modeling of a CVT system is completed to obtain the static performances of CVT system. A simulator is implemented on Matlab(Simulink), which can analyse the static performances of a CVT system. The methods for improving the total efficiency of a motorcycle system are also proposed based on the simulation results.

The brake judder comes from non-uniformities of the wheel assembly. non-uniformities of the wheel assembly causes mechanical effects such as a brake torque variation(BTV). A disc thickness variation(DTV) is related to the kinematic behavior of the disc. DTV is a main source of BTV. In this study, we predict Judder by comparing the real experiment of railway vehicle with ADAMS railway vehicle simulation. we carried out ADAMS railway vehicle simulation model and real experiment of railway vehicle. we've developed the detailed brake dynamic model and stick-slip program
