This paper has studied thermal characteristics of machine tool to develope high speed spindle and optimum design condidering the thermal deformation. Comparing the test data of temperature measurement and structural analysis data using FEM, we verifiedthe test validity and predicted thermal deformation, influence of spindle generation of heat, and established cooling system to prevent the thermal deformation. 1) The temperature rise of spindle system depends on increasing number of rotation and shows sudden doubling increment of number of rotation over 7,000rpm. 2) Oil jacket cooling can be effective cooling method below 8,000rpm but, over 8,000rpm, it shows the decrement of cooling effect. 3) Comparing FEM analysis results and revolution test results, we can confirmn approximate temperature change consequently, it is possible to simulate temperature rise and thermal distribution on the inside of spindle system. 4) We can confirm that simulated approach by FEM analysis can be effective method in thermal-appropriate design..

(1) The overseas Koreans in Chinese regions consist of ethnic Korean society in Yanbian which, had formed by the 1940s, and the immigrants from Korea who moved to cities in China on the strength of the Chinese reform and open-door policy in the 1980s. (2) The overseas Koreans in the US regions, consist of the ones by immigration between 1903 and the 1960s, and overseas Korean society which has formed through mass immigration after 1965. (3) The overseas Koreans in the Japanese regions roughly consist of the foreign laborers until before 1945, or the ‘Old Comer’ who were forcibly taken to Japan and settled there and their descendants, and ‘New Comer’ generation who crossed over to Japan after the 1980s. (4) The overseas Korean society in the regions of the Commonwealth of Independent States formed due to Stalin’s deportation of the overseas Koreans living in the regions of the Maritime Province of the former Soviet Union in 1937. (5) The overseas Korean society in Brazil, with the start of the immigration for farm management in 1966, formed with the immigrants who were engaged in clothing business in the 1970s.
