In this paper, the proposed demand controller has the following characteristics that the synchronization between controller and KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation) watt-hour meter is prerequisite to reduce error and the low pass filter must be adapted for reducing noise from sensors. And the algorithms for error, power calculation and compensation is developed. The DTU is also developed for controlling the remote loads in this paper. The DTU receives the control commands generated in demand controller, and then controls loads. Especially, in this paper, the power line cables are used for communication between the demand controller and the DTU instead of conventional techniques such as direct power and signal cable. The power line communication method which is coupled the high frequency communication signal with common power line cable is adapted.

The PID controller represents the simplest form of controllers that utilize the derivative and intergration operations in the compensation of control systems. In general, we can regard the design of controllers for control systems as an analysis problem; then we can come up with a great deal of varieties. This paper consists of the theory of PID control systems, control algorithm, operations and bound condition of PID controller. Theory of tuning rullers of PID controller is predicted.

In this study, we prove the reality of romote maragement by controlling the UPS directly. We consit the remote maragement system which is controlled by LAN with the PC that contains UPS, Agent board and maragement program. In this network condition, various kinds of UPS infermations send manager control information such as bypass transport order, reset order, stand by order and online order throughout the agent board.

Low cost data acquisition and logger system for monitoring waste water is introduced. The proposed circuit is simple by using one-chip microcontroller. A portable RAM card of the proposed system makes it simple to acquire the monitored data. Serial communication is adopted to communicate with remote monitoring computer. CSMA\CD, which is used widely as MAC(Medium Access Control) in ethernet, is modified to apply a RS485 serial communication. The proposed system acquires the information of the waste water by using the presented data acquisition and logger system. The monitoring data of water quality is stored in the database to analyze the factor and progress of water pollution.

A new control method for single-phase shunt active power line conditioners (APLC's) operated under zero average power consumption is proposed in this paper.The amplitude of the sinusoidal source current which is in-phase with the source voltage can be determined from the average value of the instantaneous load power.Then the command current for the shunt APLC is obtained by subtraction the source current from the load current.Neither bulky filter nor time-consuming computation is required.The shunt power compensator supplies all the harmonics of the load current and the source only supplies the fundamental component.Experimental results on a prototype verify the feasibility of the presented scheme.

In this paper, the essential points for the selection of PLC and the functions of PLC for accomplishing FA are studied under Standing the Construction of PLC, the type of FA system, the role of PC in PLC and the trend of PLC programming language Standard after itemizing the PLC at large. And the Criteria which are essentially required for introducing the automation equipments are prepared by investigating the relation between PLC and PC.

On power system large transmission line which has been put into operation since October 1986. Lightning performance is calculated and Shielding failure and inductive interference is estimated to be based on Armstrong-whitehead theory. The results are greathy different from the previously publishad papers and the effective shielding is also proposed. Accordingly in order to determine reasonbly the groudning points of the system netrals, all points the system should kept up within a range of effective grounding and the line to ground flault Currents should be limited as low as possible.

In modern control theory, certain types of design algorithm, such as the liner regulator theory, naturally lead to state-variable feed back. Since the eigen valves of a linear system directly control the transient response of the system, is would be desirable it the designer is able to place the eigenvalues according to the performonce specifications. In this paper we shall study the time-domain per-formance of a control system whose objective is to control the position of a load that has viscous friction and inertid. Based on the adaptive control system with the same structure as Narendia and Valovani's typical oen, the design guideline and stability property of the overall control system are stated.
