        영월군 가전(家傳) 『찰병요결(察病要訣)』에 대한 연구

        구민석,김민선,이향영,차웅석,김남일,Ku, Minseok,Kim, Minseon,Lee, Hyang-Young,Cha, Wung-Seok,Kim, Namil 한국의사학회 2018 한국의사학회지 Vol.31 No.2

Chalbyungyogyul (察病要訣) is a book of Korean Medicine which contains simple knowledges combined with experienced prescriptions. This study intends to introduce a manuscript of Chalbyungyogyul handed down in a family in Yeongwol-gun and analyze the Eui'an (醫案) in it. This book includes common sense in medicinal herbs and 142 cases of Eui'ans. The Eui'ans in Chalbyungyogyul can be divided into three types. Some Eui'ans state miraculous effects. External medical treatments are used in another group of Eui'ans. In the other Eui'ans, prescriptions composed by a single herb are applied. These characteristics are differentiated from those of preexisting Eui'ans in the history of Korean medicine which mainly include complexly prescribed internal medicines and medical discussions. This book vividly describes medical practice in the early 20th century and shows the realization of theoretical writings. Above all, it is a valuable discovery of Eui'an compilation which is rare in the history of Korean medicine.

Medicinal porridge (藥粥) is made by putting rice or grains into a pot and boiling with water until a semi-liquid texture is obtained. Porridge is digested fast and absorbed by the body. Children or elderly people with weak digestive ability can eat it without difficulty. The authors of this literature focused on utilization of mung bean porridge (Nokdu-juk) based on SeungjeongwonIlgi (承政院日記), which is the daily record of the Royal Secretariat of the Joseon Dynasty from 1623 to 1910. Four cases were found. The first case used mungbean for treating fever diseases (熱症), the second as a meal alternative, the third for wound recovery, and the last case described the culture of the joseon dynasty. According to the actual cases in SeungjeongwonIlgi (承政院日記), mung bean porridge (Nokdu-juk) was actively used to lower fever and strengthen the spleen and stomach. When suffering from the after effects of a malignant tumor or serious liver disease (肝病), an infectious disease, or a serious physical wound, people ate mung bean porridge (Nokdu-juk). It is suggested that mung bean porridge (Nokdu-juk) can be used as an alternative food treatment for the current medical field due to the prevalence of pain-killers and psychotropic drug abuse.

Comparison of Cytokine Expression in Mesenchymal Stem Cells from Human Placenta, Cord Blood, and Bone Marrow

황종하,심성신,석예선,이항영,송해룡,이재관,박용균,이향영,김봉희 대한의학회 2009 Journal of Korean medical science Vol.24 No.4

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are capable of self-renewal and differentiation into lineages of mesenchymal tissues that are currently under investigation for a variety of therapeutic applications. The purpose of this study was to compare cytokine gene expression in MSCs from human placenta, cord blood (CB) and bone marrow (BM). The cytokine expression profiles of MSCs from BM, CB and placenta (amnion, decidua) were compared by proteome profiler array analysis. The cytokines that were expressed differently, in each type of MSC, were analyzed by real-time PCR. We evaluated 36 cytokines. Most types of MSCs had a common expression pattern including MIF (GIF, DER6), IL-8 (CXCL8), Serpin E1 (PAI-1), GROα(CXCL1), and IL-6. MCP-1, however, was expressed in both the MSCs from the BM and the amnion. sICAM-1 was expressed in both the amnion and decidua MSCs. SDF-1 was expressed only in the BM MSCs. Real-time PCR demonstrated the expression of the cytokines in each of the MSCs. The MSCs from bone marrow, placenta (amnion and decidua) and cord blood expressed the cytokines differently. These results suggest that cytokine induction and signal transduction are different in MSCs from different tissues.
