The time to ignition, heat release rate characteristics, and carbon monoxide yield of fiber reinforced and sandwich phenol resin were investigated with cone calorimeter. The fire characteristics of unsaturated polyester, mostly being applied to the existing passenger train, and phenolic resin were compared. DSC & TGA was used to monitor the degree of thermal decomposition and weight loss for the phenolic resin. According to the cone calorimeter data, the time to ignition was shorter, heat release rate, and CO yield was higher as the external heat flux increased. Under the same heat flux, the time to ignition of sandwich type phenolic resin was shorter than that of laminated. The result of comparison between unsaturated polyester and phenolic resin was that phenolic resin was shown to have better fire resistance than unsaturated polyester. 철도차량의 내장재료로 사용되는 페놀수지의 laminate Panel과 sandwich panel의 화재특성을 콘칼로리미터를 이용하여 착화시간, 열방출율과 일산화탄소방출량을 비교, 조사하였다. 또한 기존 철도차량용 내장재료로 사용된 불포화 폴리에스터와 페놀수지와의 화재특성을 비교하였다. 페놀수지의 중량감소 및 열분해능을 DSC & TGA를 이용하여 측정하였다. 콘칼로미터 실험결과 착화시간, 열방출율 및 일산화탄소 생성량은 50kW 복사조건에서 더 높게 나타남을 알 수 있었으며, 동일한 복사열소건 하에서는 sandwich-페놀수지가 laminate-페놀수지보다 더 빨리 착화되었다. 기존 철도차량에 적용되었던 불포화 폴리에스터와 페놀수지와의 비교시험 결과 페놀수치의 화재성능이 발열량 및 일산화탄소 방출 모두에서 우수한 것으로 조사되었다.

The proteinase-activated receptor (PAR-2) belongs to the family of seven transmembrane region receptors, like the thrombin receptor, it is activated by specific proteolytic clea vage of its extracellular amino terminus and a synthetic peptide (SLIGRL). The earthworm protein fraction (EPF) extracted from Lumbricus rubellus elicted dose- and endothelium-dependent relaxations in phenylephrine-contracted rat thoracic aorta, whereas heat inactivated EPF (0.5 ${\mu}g$ /ml) had no effect. In the presence of the nitric oxide synthase inhibitor NG-methyl-L-arginine (1.8 micro M), EPF (0.5 ${\mu}g$ /ml)-induced relaxations were partially inhibited. Furthermore, EPF (0.5 ${\mu}g$ /ml) dramatically caused relaxation of thrombin-desenstized rat thoracic aorta. These results indicate that EPF activates PAR-2 in vascular endothelial cell. Intravenous injection of EPF (20 mg/kg, bolus) into anesthetized rats produced a marked depressor response. EPF (0 ~ 80 ${\mu}g$ /ml, gradient) was very effective on increasing of perfusion volume in rabbit ear vessel preparations. These results imply the usefulness of EPF as a vascular smooth muscle relaxant and indicate that the activation of PAR-2 may be a mechanism of EPF on hemokinetic improvement.
