The purposes of this study were 1) to identify determinants of exercise behavior 2) to determine theoretical frameworks that were used in other research 3) to investigate the limitations of exercise research. seventy six research papers, published between 1984-1999, were selected by searching Medline for this study. Research subjects, determinants of exercise behavior, exercise measurement, the design of studies, statistical method and theoretical background were examined. The results are as follows. 1.On the research subjects, most research papers studied healthy adults. 2.Thirteen variables were identified that were used more than 5 times in various researches were self efficacy, barrier, social support, benefit, physiological characteristics, habit, personality, intention, health status, motivation, subjective norm. attitude, and affect. The most frequently supported determinant was self efficacy, the second one was social support, the third was affect and so on. But few research papers found any significant relationship between subject norms or attitude and exercise. 3.On exercise measurement, only 22.4% of research papers considered intensity, duration, frequency as elements of exercise, and 64.5% of researches were assessed by self-reported questionnaires. 4.In research design, 80.3% of research papers were survey type research. The most frequently used statistcal method was Regression. 5.44.8% of research papers were done without any theoretical basis. Based on the above findings the following suggestions are made : 1.Research which includes diverse populations with different levels of health status needs to be studied. 2.Determinants of exercise may be dynamic and varing in their influence, therefore, stages of exercise behavior and processes of change need to be studied. 3.In research design, more prospective, longitudinal studies are needed to identify determinants of exercise habits. 4.It is necessary to develop a reliable, valid exercise measurement tool. 5.Studios are needed to develop a theoretical framework for exercise behavior.

본 연구의 목적은 시사만화를 사료로 활용한 수업모형을 개발하고 이를 실제 교육현장에 적용하여 효과성을 검증하는 것이다. 시사만화의 양과 질에 있어서 우수한 미국 역사의 주요 토픽을 선정하여 몇가지 기준에 따라 시사만화를 선정하고 분석지와 평가지를 제작하였다. 그 다음 이것들을 가지고 고등학교 2학년을 대상으로 수업을 실시하고 그 결과를 객관적으로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시사만화를 사료로 활용한 수업은 역사수업에 대한 흥미와 관심을 유도하는데 효과적이다. 둘째, 시사만화를 활용한 수업은 학생들의 역사적 능력 함양에 도움이 되었다. 셋째, 시사만화를 활용한 수업은 사료에 대한 인식을 바꾸어주었다. 본 연구를 통해 본 연구자는 시사만화를 사료로서 활용한 역사수업이 역사수업에 대한 학생들의 관심과 흥미를 높이고 역사교육의 목표인 역사적 능력을 함양하는데 유용한 교과교육방안일 수 있음을 확인하였다. A cartoon has not been educationally used in the classroom. In history education, there is a search about history teaching using cartoon, taking notice of the art education using cartoon. However, a search on the political cartoon as historical source does not receive careful study yet. Political cartoon can stimulate learner's gaze with the exiting picture and conversational form of language and can be understood easily with the complexity of ‘picture’ and ‘letter’ known to be most effective linkage for better understanding and memorization. Therefore, the author developed the history instruction using political cartoon then applied this ti the 35 high schoolers to verify the effectiveness of history teaching that author made using political cartoon. The findings are follows. Firstly, The history teaching using political cartoon as historical source could improve learner's interest and historical ability. Secondly, the history teaching using political cartoon changed learner's opinion about historical source from a negative point of view that historical source is boring and uninteresting and difficult to understand a affirmative point of view. Thirdly, the author suggested that explanation about skills and background knowledge of political cartoon and offer of analysis worksheet in the history teaching model, with the investigation worksheets and questionnaires that leaners filled out, it is known that these three thing are essential elements in the instruction. In this paper, The author found that history teaching using political cartoon as historical source has affirmative possibility in promoting learner's interest into the history class and in improving learner's historical ability.

영화를 활용한 주제중심 역사수업 모형 개발 및 적용 방안

본 연구의 목적은 영화를 활용한 주제 중심 역사 수업의 모형을 개발하고 학교 현장에서 실질적으로 활용할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고 제시하는데 있다. 본 연구를 위해서 전쟁으로 역사 읽기라는 주제 하에 영화 <헨리 5세>와 <패트리어트>를 선정하여 학기말에 수업을 실시하여 그 유용성을 검증하였다. 그 결과 영화를 활용한 주제 중심 역사 학습은 학생들로 하여금 주제에 자체에 대해서 뿐만 아니라 그것에 관련된 역사의 다양한 측면을 파악하게 함으로써 역사 이해의 폭을 넓힐 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 학기말에 본 수업 모형을 적용함으로써 학생들이 학기 중 수업을 통해 습득한 지식을 바탕으로 선택된 주제를 통합적으로 이해하는데 도움을 줄 수 있음이 입증되었다. The purposes of this study is to develop a working model of teaching history through film with central themes which may be applied in history class. With history of war as a central theme we select two feature films, Henry V and Patriot, and show the edited versions of both films in class. We find out that teaching history through films with central themes help students have wider and deeper understanding of historical knowledge. It is also proved that this teaching method is effective in helping students apply their knowledge acquired in earlier class in wider and deeper context.
