디지털 옛길 복원의 의의와 활용 가능성: 전라북도의 교류길을 중심으로

이 연구는 역사와 문화를 함께 느낄 수 있는 ‘옛길’ 복원의 의의와 활용 방안을 모색하기 위한것이다. 특히 교류사적인 관점에서, 전라북도 옛길의 역사적 의미와 가치를 살펴보고, 문화관광자원으로써 디지털 옛길 복원에 따른 활용 가능성을 제시하려고 한다. 디지털 옛길은 기존 문물교류길과 같은 역사기록에 근거한 길 찾기를 넘어 지역사람들이 지닌오랫동안 이용될만한 지리학적 이동 경로의 네트워크 복원과 교류의 의미를 지닌다. 이에 일본의고지도를 활용한 옛길 복원의 사례를 소개하고 전라북도의 현황을 제시하여, 현재 진행 중인 디지털 방식으로 옛길 복원의 가능성을 설명하였다. 이를 바탕으로 한 ‘디지털 옛길 복원’의 기대효과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 역사와 지역교육 등 교육적인 측면에서 이론과 실제가 상호 접목된 교육 자료로 활용할수 있다. 둘째, ‘디지털 옛길’을 현장의 역사 및 유물유적과 연결한 역사 테마가 있는 도보 관광프로그램으로 활용할 수 있다. 셋째, 비대면 시대에 지역의 과거 변화를 알 수 있는 역사여행관광 상품으로 활용할 수 있다. 마지막으로 문명의 고속도로의 중간경유지로서 가치가 있는 전라북도 지역의 이미지 제고 및 위상을 높일 수 있다. This study seeks to explore the significance and utilization effect behind the restoration of the ‘old road,’ where people can experience both the history and culture . In particular, and from the perspective of exchange history, this study aims to examine the historical meaning and values of the old roads in Jeollabuk-do, and to present the usability of digital old roads as resources for cultural tourism. The expected effects of the “Digital Old Road Program,” as identified via the research, are as follows. First, it can be used as an educational resource in which theory and practice are grafted together in terms of local history and understanding. Second, the “Digital Old Road” can be used as a walking tour program with a historical theme that connects with the site’s history and relics. Third, it can be used as a historical tourism product in the non-face-to-face era, representing the changes in the region. Lastly, it can enhance the image and status of the Jeollabuk-do, which is valuable as an intermediate transit point of a civilization The digital ‘old road’ concerns the restoration of a network of geographic travel routes in context of the local community; routes which can and have been used for a long period of time; and routes beyond those based on historical records - such as the past inter-civilization roads. In addition, a Japanese case regarding the restoration of old roads via the use of old maps was introduced as a leading example of exploring ways to utilize the old roads discovered in Jeollabuk-do.

재외한인들에 대한 연구들이 세계의 재외한인집단을 디아스포라(Diaspora, 이산집단 또는 유배집단)라고 규정함으로서 각 국가에 거주하는 한인들의 성격에 커다란 차이가 있고 일부 한인사회의 성격이 빠르게 변하고 있다는 점을 간과하고 있다. 첫째, 한인들이 미국사회의 일원으로 편입되면서 점차 한국과의 관계나 한국으로의 귀소의식보다 미국사회집단의 일원으로 스스로를 확인하는 것으로 한국으로부터의 이산집단이라는 의식과 한국으로의 희귀의식이 크게 약화되고 있는 측면을 제대로 반영하지 못하고 있다. 둘째,아직 뚜렷하게 나타나고 있지는 않지만 국적, 국가, 민족을 덜 중요시하면서 스스로를 한국이나 미국을 넘어선 사람으로 인식하는 탈 민족적, 탈 국가적 의식이 조금씩 나타나고 있다는측면도 제대로 반영되고 있지 못하다. 이번 글은 이러한 변화를 이해하기 위한 탐색조사로서 앞에서 제기한 첫 번째 측면 즉, 한국사회의 일원으로 편입되는 과정을 다루고 있다. 특히 LA한인들을 중심으로 미국사회로 편입되어 현지화되는 과정을 다루고 있다. 이러한 측면은 동시에 한국으로의 귀소의식이나 또는 한국의 다민족관계망으로 편입되는 측면만 다루고 있다. 또한 시민단체를 중심으로 다른 민족들과 어떠한 관계를 형성하고 있으며 또는 아시아계나 다인종 단체를 통한 한인 넘어서기가 점차 진행되고 있음을 살펴보고 있다. 이러한 정도의 변화로는 아직 디아스포라 적 성격이 크게 약화되었다고 말하기 어렵다. 하지만 디아스포라적인 성격이 약화되고 있음을 보여주며 동시에 미국에의 편입이나 초국가적 성격의 변화가 앞으로 강화될 수 있는 가능성을 보여주기 때문에 앞으로 이에 대한 보다 본격적인 조사와 연구가 필요함을 보여준다. Many studies on overseas Koreans usually research them from the perspective of diaspora based on the nationalist understanding of immigrants. This approach overlooks the diversity of overseas Koreans and that some of overseas Koreans are transformed in part into trans-Korean or/and trans-national. Firstly, the diasporan approach to the overseas Koreans do not reflect the fact that the homing distinct or orientation is already weakened among some Korean Americans and that they become Americans. Secondly, even though it is not fully realized yet, some of them don't give any important meaning to nationality or have the weak sense of national belongings. Instead they choose and use nationality or national belongings just as a card for better personal interest, and show in part trans-national consciousness. This paper is a pilot study to understand overseas Koreans not from aperspective of diaspora but from a perspective of trans-Korean or of trans-national. This paper is dealing with the process where Korean Americans in LA are becoming in part Americans through multi-ethnic contacts and politics. This process happens with the weakening of Korean national consciousness and of Korean homing orientation among them. This paper focuses on the process of incorporation of Koreans into American multi ethnic relationship through diverse civil organization. Their processes of incorporating into Americans and Asian Americans and of overcoming the consciousness of Korean belongings are dealt with. This does not deny the presence of diasporan characteristics among Korean Americans but shows that the weakening of their diasporan characteristics already started. In order to understand the future direction of Korean Americans, it is necessary to approach Korean Americans from a perspective which can overcome the national boundedness of diasporan approach.
