This study researches the use of foreign models used in the advertisement of clothing being marketed to college students in the Chong Ju area. A primary reason for the use of foreign models is a combination of physical appearance and the sensitive look. The results of this study shows that the foreign model is not more effective than domestic models with the simple exception of clothing advertisements. Narrowing this category even further, it has been found that the use of foreign models in advertising underwear has been particularly effective.
