This study Iran been made to develop a method for care determination of design flood flow in small watershed. The Bochong basin of which t1e area is 475.6㎢ was selected for this study and an empirical formula. (Kajiyma' s) and the rational formula were revised for application in tire basin. The results, which are obtained from revised formulas show that tire suggested formulas through tire adjustment of their coefficients are practical for determining tire design flood flow in small watershed.

Because the environment for steam generator nozzle dam installation/removal operation at a nuclear power plant(NPP) is inherently hazardous with irradiation and contamination, it is very difficult and dangerous for a human being to perform such a task. When a mobile manipulator performs point-to-point(PTP) task in a highly cluttered environment such as nozzle dam installation/removal operation, it is essentially required to obtain the optimal configuration of the mobile manipulator. However, obtaining optimal configuration problem is very difficult because the overall system is highly redundant one. In this paper, a method for obtaining optimal configuration for executing nozzle dam installation/removal operation is proposed. The problem is formulated as a non-linear optimization one. Because the problem is highly non-linear and the general solution spaces for the problem are unconnected and non-convex, the genetic algorithm is adopted as a solution method. Computer simulations are performed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Divine illumination was the most influential alternative to naturalism in the medieval theories of cognition. The theory holds that human beings require a special supernatural assistance in their ordinary cognitive activities, It was most closely associated with Augustine and his scholastic followers. This theory came to seem increasingly old-fashioned as the thirteenth century progressed. Thomas Aquinas is often thought of as the figure most responsible for putting an end to the theory of divine illumination. Futhermore, he is often regarded as an advocate of naturalism in the theory of cognition. I deal with the question of whether or not these assessments are correct. In offering a negative answer, I wish to argue that he does not give up a special role for God in human cognition. 인간이 스스로 진리를 알기보다는 신의 특별한 도움을 구해야 한다는 요지의 주장들 가운데 조명이론은 13세기에 이르기까지 중세의 지배적인 인식이론이었다. 아우구스티누스가 원류라고 평가되는 조명이론은 점차적으로 아리스토텔레스에게서 파생된 추상이론으로 대체되는 경향이 나타난다. 이런 경향성을 대변하는 인물로 토마스 아퀴나스를 꼽는다. 심지어 그는 중세 인식이론에서 조명이론을 사라지게 한 장본인이라고 평가되기까지 한다. 이 글은 이런 평가가 정확한지를 검토하기 위해 다음과 같은 질문을 제기한다. 토마스는 조명이론을 전적으로 페기하는가? 인간이 외적 세계를 인식하는데 있어 어떠한 신적 개입도 필요치 않은가? 이 물음들을 통해 토마스의 인식이론은 세계 안에 작용하는 어떠한 초자연적인 작용자도 인정하지 않는 자연주의의 틀에서 보기 힘들다는 해석을 개진할 것이다.
