Reducing vehicle energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions is a very important global issue today due to the rising oil prices and global warming. This study selected a section of no acceleration on an express highway to help to reduce CO₂ emissions and demonstrated its effects through active driving. The study obtained elevation, distance, and vehicle speed from the GPS data and measured the slope and downhill distance of the experiment roads. The investigator picked 23 locations on two-way roads that contained 250-meter or long sections of 1% inclination or bigger. CO₂ emissions were measured by keeping steady speed driving at 100km/h through vehicle driving first and then reducing the speed to 90km/h and re-accelerating at the selected sections of no acceleration. As a result, CO₂ emissions were cut down by 8.35%(two-way) during no acceleration driving compared with steady speed driving.

Bariatric surgery is considered one of the most effective methods of achieving long-term weight loss in morbidly obese patients. Nevertheless, bariatric procedures are associated with a number of complications, and nutrient deficiencies can lead to deleterious consequences. Furthermore, the diet of patients prior to bariatric surgery is often of poor nutrition quality that does not meet the recommended dietary guidelines for micronutrient intake. Therefore, optimization of the postoperative nutritional status should begin before surgery. This review covers the essential information about micronutrient management in patients before and after bariatric surgery.
