이 논문의 목적은 19세기에 조선정부가 울릉도 통치의 일환으로 실시한 울릉도 수토 연도에 관하여 기존 연구의 결과를 비판적으로 검토하여 재정리하고, 새로 확인된 수토 사실들을 보고하여 목록에 추가하며, 향후 수토 연구의 방향을 모색해 보는 것이다. 기존의 수토 연도 목록을 검토하여 수토 연도라고 보기에는 근거가 부족한 9개의 연도를 목록에서 삭제하고, 새로 확인한 1849년 이규상의 수토, 1853년 석충선의 수토, 1855년 이원명의 수토, 1873년 월송만호의 수토, 1879년 월송만호의 수토, 1883년 안영식의 수토 등은 목록에 추가하였다. 19세기 울릉도 수토는 약간의 문제점을 노정하고 있음에도 불구하고 조선정부가 영토관리 차원에서 수토제를 통하여 울릉도를 잘 다스려왔다고 평가할 수 있다. 울릉도 수토 연구의 방향은 이양선 및 표류 관련 연구와 연계하여 수토 연구의 외연을 확대할 필요가 있다. 그리고 전국적으로 다양하고 많은 수의 수토 사례와 연관시켜 연구함으로써 조선 정부의 통치행위로서 수토의 전체적 모습을 보여주는 것이다. The purpose of this paper is to make a critical review of the existing researches on patrol governance of Ulleungdo Islands conducted by the Joseon government in the 19th century, and add some new cases of Ulleungdo patrol governance to them. After critical review of the existing list, I shall remove the nine Ulleungdo patrol governance cases from it. On the other hand, the six cases of 1849, 1853, 1855, 1873, 1879, and 1883 will be newly inserted therein. On the whole I argue that, throughout the 19th century, the Joseon government had managed Ulleungdo Islands well by patrol governance as the territory management system, though there were minor problems and irregularities. Lastly, I suggest that the direction of study on Ulleungdo patrol governance system be extended, including researches on the appearances of western vessels and many sea drifting accidents. This direction will show the overall patrol governance acts as part of the territorial awareness of the Joseon government, by way of studying various and numerous examples of patrol governance throughout the country.

무선호출분야의 향후 전망과 Advanced Paging System의 구조적 고찰

7월1일 고속 페이징 서비스가 SK Telecom에서 자체 개발한 APS(Advanced Paging System)로 이루어지게 되었다. 본고에서는 시스템의 구조적 설계 개념에 대하여 간략히 소개하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 먼저 무선호출의 서비스 특성 분석과 이와 따른 시스템의 구조 정립 방법을 소개한 후, 적용 기술을 CTI(Computer Telephony Integration) 및 지능망 기술과 연계하여 설명하고자 한다. 또한 무선호출분야의 향후 발전방향에 대한 기술적 전망 분석과 이에 대한 현 시스템의 적응성에 대해서도 살펴보고저 한다.

The human papilloma virus-type 16 (HPV-16) E6 and E7 proteins interact with the p53 and pRb tumor sup-pressor proteins, respectively. The effect of E6 or E7 expression on UV irradiation (5 and 20 J/m2)-induced genotoxic injury of confluent primary murine astro-cytes was determined. Retroviral vectors were used to overexpress E6 and E7. Astrocytes expressing E7 showed increased vulnerability to UV-induced apop-tosis while E6 over expressing astrocytes were pro-tected from the same insults. Cell death in the E7 overexpressing cells was apoptotic because it showed DNA ladders, activation of caspase-3, formation of apoptotic bodies and decreased DNA content to less than the G0 level. After UV-irradiation the level of E2F1 in E7-expressing astrocytes was higher than E6-, LXSN- or mock-infected cells, and caspase-3 was acti-vated to a greater extent. E7-expressing astrocytes showed the highest levels of Bax under normal growth conditions. The mitochondrial membrane potential of E7-expressing astrocytes was depolarized by 90% af-ter UV-irradiation while the depolarization in control cells was about 50%. E6 overexpression decreased while E7 overexpression increased UV-induced astro-cyte apoptosis.

항길고택일기의 울릉도 수토 관련 기사 역주와 그 사료적 가치

이 글의 목적은 ‘항길고택일기’에 기록된 울릉도 수토 관련 기사를 한글로 역주하고 일기 원본 이미지와 함께 학계에 제공하여 조선후기 울릉도 수토(搜討)에 대한 연구에 도움을 주고자 하는 것이다. 이 글은 다음과 같이 구성되었다. 첫째, 강원도 동해시에 세거(世居)하고 있는 ‘항길고택’(恒吉古宅)’과 그 집안에서 대대로 지켜내려 온 ‘항길고택문고(恒吉古宅文庫)’를 소개할 것이다. 둘째, 항길고택문고의 ‘항길고택일기’에 수록된 울릉도 수토(搜討) 관련 기사를 뽑아내 원본 이미지, 한문 원문, 한글 역주 등을 울릉도·독도 연구의 기초 자료로 제공할 것이다. 항길고택일기에 수록된 울릉도 수토 관련 기사의 사료적 가치는 첫째, 현재까지 관찬 사료에서 발견하지 못한 내용의 사료들을 포함하고 있다는 점이다. 예컨대 울릉도 수토료 또는 수토료미가 울릉도 수토가 있는 해에는 어김없이 징수되었다. 또 울릉도 수토를 하러 출발할 때와 수토를 마치고 돌아올 때, 후망수직군을 조직하여 무사히 배가 도착할 수 있도록 돕는 후망에 대한 기록 역시 다른 곳에서 보기 어려운 내용이다. 둘째, 19세기 초중반 이른바 세도정치 시기에는 정치 일반이 문란하였으므로 울릉도 수토제도 역시 문란해져 수토가 제대로 행해지지 않았을 것이라는 의견이 있었으나, 『항길고택일기』의 수토 관련 기사 내용이 알려지면서 세도정치 시기의 울릉도 수토가 오히려 앞 시대보다 더 규칙적으로 잘 시행되었다는 것이 밝혀졌다. The purpose of this paper is to help research on the territorial patrol of Ulleungdo in the late Joseon Dynasty, providing translation of some hand-written memo about the territorial patrol of Ulleungdo in Hang-gil Old House Diary and its original photograph to academia. This paper consists of the followings. First, the paper introduces Hang-gil Old House, which has been long sited in Donghae-city, Gangwon-province, and Hang-gil Old House Archives, which has been kept by the family for generations. Second, the original photo images, Chinese character, and Korean translation will be provided as basic data for Ulleungdo and Dokdo research by extracting memos about the territorial patrol of Ulleungdo from Hang-gil Old House Diary. The historical value of the memos about the territorial patrol of Ulleungdo in the Hang-gil Old House Diary is as follows. First, some memos are unique historical materials that have not been found in Joseon governmental historical records so far. Especially the tax for the territorial patrol of Ulleungdo was collected in the year when the territorial patrol of Ulleungdo was performed. Also, when leaving for and returning from the territorial patrol of Ulleungdo, the records about surveillance unit for the distant sea are difficult to find anywhere else. Second, during the oligarchial, so-called Sedo, politics in the early to mid-19th century, there were some opinions that the territorial patrol of Ulleungdo would not have been properly carried out due to the disorder of the politics. As the memos and contents of the territorial patrol of Ulleungdo in Hang-gil Old House Diary became known, it was revealed that the territorial patrol of Ulleungdo during the Sedo politics was implemented more regularly than in the previous era.
