Kim Nae-sung's The Evil (魔人) is a fully-fledged detective novel based on the traditional elements of incident, detective, and criminal. However, the “Detective in Love” motif weakens the confrontation between the detective and the criminal. In addition, the killer gets to know much more information about the case more quickly than the detective. As a result, the detective is unable to prevent further victims of consecutive murder incidents. However, the detective of The Evil (魔人) is neither a competent criminal investigator nor a competent fighter, yet he is in key position for discovering the human and moral meanings underlying a current murder case and a past scandal. Of course, the final meaning revealed in the narrative of The Evil (魔人) is the misfortunes of the conventional fate mechanism represented by “the reunion of father and daughter.” However, the conventionality of The Evil (魔人) must be judged in a planning dimension of Kim Nae-sung’s detective novels. Kim Nae-sung and the Japanese disputants of the time tried to secure artistry in detective novels, arguing that artistry could be found in psychological illusion rather than rational reasoning. This is because rational reasoning was considered to be mechanical. Thus, they made similar claims, but the specific context was different. Edogawa Ranpo wanted to find the unique characteristics of Japanese detective novels that distinguished them from European novels. In addition, detective novels in Japan reflected cultural tastes centered on the male elite, not the mass genre. On the other hand, Kim Nae-seong serialized The Evil (魔人) in the second half of the 1930s in a newspaper. In this sense, the conventionality of The Evil (魔人) was the expressed result that Kim Nae-sung's detective novel planning was met with both a series story in a newspaper and the popular sensibility 김내성의 『마인』은 사건, 탐정, 범인의 요소가 근간이 되는 본격 탐정소설이다. 그러나 ‘사랑에 빠진 탐정’ 모티프 때문에 탐정과 범인의 대결 구도가 약화된다. 게다가 살인범이 탐정보다 사건에 대한 정보를 더 빨리, 그리고 더 많이 알게 된다. 그 결과 탐정은 연쇄적으로 일어나는 살인 사건의 희생자를 막지 못했다. 그러나 『마인』의 탐정은 수사 능력이나 투쟁 능력에서는 뛰어나지 않았지만, 현재의 살인 사건과 과거의 치정 사건이 가지고 있는 인간적이고 도덕적인 의미를 발견하는 서사적 위치에 있었다. 물론 『마인』의 서사에서 최종적으로 드러난 의미는 ‘아버지와 딸의 상봉’으로 대표되는 통속적인 운명의 기구함이었다. 그러나 『마인』의 통속성은 김내성의 탐정소설 기획 차원에서 판단해야 한다. 김내성과 당대의 일본 논자들은 탐정소설에서 예술성을 확보하려고 했는데, 그것은 이성적 추리보다는 인간의 심리적 환상에서 찾을 수 있다고 했다. 이성적 추리는 기계적이라고 보았기 때문이다. 이렇듯 이들은 비슷한 주장을 했지만 그 구체적 맥락은 달랐다. 에도가와 란포는 유럽 소설과는 다른 일본 탐정소설의 고유한 특성을 찾고자했다. 또한 일본에서 탐정소설은 대중 장르가 아니라 남성 엘리트 중심의 문화 취향을 반영하고 있었다. 이에 반해서 김내성은 1930년대 후반기, 조선에서 신문 연재소설이라는 방식으로 『마인』을 연재했다. 그런 의미에서 『마인』의 통속성은 김내성의 탐정소설 기획이 신문연재 소설, 그리고 대중적 감수성과 만나면서 표출된 결과였다.

The application of coil springs with various coil diameters and pitches is required to improve steering performance and ride comfort. Meanwhile, high strength spring is primarily manufactured by hot coiling process to ensure formability. But hot coiling process has limits in producing coil springs due to high energy consumption, low efficiency, and the need for mandrel. Therefore, this study considers the cold coiling process, which allows for degrees of freedom in forming, to manufacture high-strength coil springs. However, the cold coiling process is difficult to implement the complex shape, so accurate shape prediction and dimensional control are essential during the cold coiling process. This study proposes a method to simulate the cold coiling process through finite element(FE) simulation to predict shape and dimensional changes that occur during the forming of coil springs. First, uniaxial tensile test was conducted to evaluate the mechanical properties of the high-strength material. Next, FE-simulation was performed to predict the shape changes occurring during the forming process. Finally, comparison was performed with coil springs produced through actual cold coiling process. As a result, the effectiveness of the simulation proposed in this study for cold coiling process was verified.
From Nationhood to Peoplehood: A Crisis of Meaning in South Korea's Unification Discourse*

This article examines the evolving discourse on Korean unification, emphasizing the need for a more contextually grounded concept of peoplehood that reflects the complexities of contemporary Korean identity. Moving beyond rigid, state‐centered frameworks of nationhood, it advocates for a shift toward a more inclusive peoplehood grounded in shared values, democratic principles, and communal flourishing. The ideological divide between President Yoon's recent 8.15 Unification Doctrine and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's two‐state approach underscores the limitations of existing paradigms. In response, this study argues for civic‐based unification narratives that transcend these divisions. At the heart of this vision is a reinterpretation of the 1919 March 1st Declaration as the foundation for a new public ethos that champions human dignity, egalitarian principles, and global responsibility. By broadening the scope of fundamental rights within this reimagined peoplehood, the framework enhances its moral legitimacy and fosters resilience across generational and ideological boundaries. This approach engages deeply with Korea's cultural, historical, and symbolic resources to ensure that unification discourse resonates with the lived experiences of modern Koreans, particularly the Jangmadang generation in North Korea and the MZ generation in South Korea. Ultimately, this article envisions unification not as the imposition of a monolithic state structure but rather as an organic, people‐building process. This process cultivates an adaptive, globally engaged, and pluralistic Korean identity.

]The aims of this article is to explain the distance from Lee ki-young's novels at the end of the japanese rule of dominant discourse of colonial power. Since then the Sino-Japanese war, the imperialist Japan met the needs of the well- disciplined Korean's body to the Total war-system. It were rational methods to discipline Korean's body that the colonial power established the volunteer system and the conscription system. But It was irrational purpose to establish those system, for it was something that is problematic of cultural identity. In turn, the body discourse of the Lee Ki Young's novels was linked in light of a struggle of classes from the era of proletarian literature. While the bourgeoisie body was contaminated with greed of money, the working class's body was moral and aesthetic. But moralized and aesthecized working class's body was deviated from the context of society-circumstance in those days. Meanwhile the working class's body in the Productive-novel was placed under the state of feudal habit. Lee ki young wished to rationalize and discipline this out of date feudal habit. The body discourse of the imperialist Japan wanted to replace korean's identity with japanese's, but this aim failed because of the difference between the korean and japanese of cultural identity. In turn, the body discourse of the Lee ki young's novel was not aimed to change the cultural identity, but was aimed to overcome the feudal habit by means of the rational and disciplined regulation.

In Conventional process, sugaring and seasoning step were combined during seasoning process of Changran-Jeotgal. While, in the case of Improved process, sugaring and seasoning step were separated and agitation was employed in order to control moisture content and improve taste. The addition of $20\%$ of corn syrup and agitation with 10 rpm for 4 hours at $20^{\circ}C$ were carried out to optimize the seasoning process in Changran-Jeotgal. From above results, quality estimation of Changran-Jeotgal manufacturing process, such as chemical and microbiological changes, there were little difference for salinity, pH, VBN value, crude fat and crude protein between Improved process and Conventional one, However water activity of Changran-Jeotgal produced by the Improved process was lower with 0.82 than that of Conventional one with 0.90. And the sensory evaluation showed that Improved process produced more favorable products; By regional groups, Seoul residents favored them more than Busan ones and by age, teen-aged like them best.

In manufacturing process of Changran-Jeotgal, agitation with 10 rpm for 10 min/4 hrs of Changran-Jeotgal without released extract was carried out during the fermented process at $0\pm2^{\circ}C$ to shorten the fermentation period and uniform product quality, This step was called Improved process, while the step with release extract and standing fermentation was Conventional process. During 60 days of fermentation period, chemical, microbiological changes and sensory evaluation were examined, Brix, VBN and $NH_2-N$ were 27.4, $54.3\;mg\%\;and\;87.9 mg\%$ on 30th day in Improved process, respectively, but they were 27.1, $57.8\;mg\%\;and\;96.6\;mg\%$ on 50th day in Conventional process. The pH value was decreased from 7.0 to $\6.3\~6.5$ in both of them, The viable cell counts in Improved process was increased from $6.6\times10^3CFU/g\;to\;2.6\times10^6CFU/g$ during 30 days, in Conventional process, slowly increased from $5.8\times10^3CFU/g\;to\;1.9\times10^6CFU/g$ during 50 days. Sensory evaluation showed that products on 30th day in Improved process and products on 50th day in Conventional process were best favorable. From above results, we found that the fermentation with agitation shortened the fermentation period by 20 days compare to standing fermentation.

재래식 창란 젓갈은 정치상태로 제조공정이 진행되기 때문에 염장 및 숙성 시간이 오래 걸리며, 또한 높은 수분함량으로 변패가 빠른 단점 등이 지적되고 있다. 이러한 단점을 개선하기 위해 본 연구에서는 제조공정 중에 교반염장 과정 및 염지 유출수 제거과정을 도입하여 염장조건의 최적화를 시도하였다. 그 결과 원료창란에 $12\%$의 식염을 첨가하여 $20^{\circ}C$에서 10rpm으로 교반한 경우 염장 2시간만에 목표염도인 $11\%$에 도달하였으며 이는 정치염장의 경우 6시간이 소요되는 것에 비교하면 염장시간을 4시간 단축시킬 수 있었다. 또한 교반염장 후 2시간째에 유출수를 제거한 경우의 Aw는 0.88이었으며, 반면 유출수를 제거하지 않은 창란의 Aw는 0.94인 것으로 나타나 높은 수분함량 때문에 나타나는 품질변화 등의 문제를 해결할 수 있을 것으로 사료되었다.

The study was attempted to detemine the ratio of stomach and intestine to viscera gathered on catching vessels, the critical level of VBN content as a freshness quality of viscera of Alaska pollack for raw materials of Changran-jeotgal. It also examined the changes of VBN values, pH and viable tell counts during the fermentation. Then sensory evaluation of the fermented products, Changran-jeotgal, was done according to the freshness of raw materials used. The ratio of stomach and intestine to the gathered viscera on the vessel was about $72\%$, while that of round state of Alaska pollack was about $18\%$. There was no significant relationship in VBN content between fish muscle and viscera. It suggests that VBN content is not a reasonable freshness criteria in viscera but in fish muscle. However, if we use the VBN content as a freshness criteria of viscera for raw materials of Changran-jeotgal, less than $70mg\%$ of VBN value could be recommended. According to the experimental results, the product yields and sensory evaluation scores were no good not only for economical evaluation but also for consumption.
