Objective : This experimental study was designed to investigate the effects of Mahwangbokhapbang2 (every abbreviation from now on MHBHB2) on obesity care where it is prescribed for high fat diet-induced mice. Also designed to find out effects of MHBHB2 on controlling th obesity clinically) Method : In order to investigate th obese inhibitory effects of MHBHB2, C57BL/6 mice were induced by high fat diet C57BL/6 mice were divided into four group(normal, high fat diet, high fat diet with reductil, high fat diet with MHBHB2 extract) and fed for 15weeks. Result : 1. Mahwangbokhapbang2(MHBHB2) decreased significantly the body weig-ht. 2. MHBHB2 decreased significantly the weight of adipocyte. 3. MHBHB2 decreased significantly the blood level of serum ALT, AST. 4. MHBHB2 decreased significantly the blood level of serum total cholester-l, LDL- cholesterol, friglyceride and NEFA(free fatty acid). 5. MHBHB2 decreased significantly the blood level of HDL-cholesterol. 6. MHBHB2 500mg/kg decreased significantly the blood level of Leptin. Conclusion : Based on these results, it is prove that MHBHB2 is effective on obesity care and has obese-inhibitory effects in obese-mouse induced by high fat diet. So it is espected that the clinical application of MHBHB2 can help the treatment of obesity.
順氣除濕方이 高脂肪食餌로 유발된 肥滿 白鼠에 미치는 영향

Objective : In order to investigate the effects of Soongijeseub-bang(here in after referred to SJB) on the obese gene and obese inhibitory, C57BL/6 mice were induced by high fat diet. Methods : C57BL/6 mice were divided into three groups(normal, high fat diet with control, high fat diet with SJB extract) and fed for 15 weeks. And measured body weight change, the weight change of the adipocytes in body, the levels of ALT, AST, creatinine, total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, triglyceride, NEFA(non-esterified fat acid), glucose in serum and the expression of β3AR, leptin, and TNF-α gene in primary adipocytes and adipocytes tissue. Results : The following results were obtained in this study. 1. SJB 500 ㎎/㎏ extract group showed significant decrease in final weight. 2. SJB 500 ㎎/㎏ extract group showed significant decrease in the amount of adipocyte in weight. 3. All experimental group showed significant decrease in ALT and AST levels. 4. All experimetal group did not show significant decrease in glucose and creatinine levels. 5. All experimental group showed significant decrease in total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, triglyceride and NEFA levels. HDL-cholesterol were increase significantly in SJB 500 ㎎/㎏ extract group. 6. SJB 500 ㎎/㎏ extract group showed significant decrease in leptin levels. 7. All experimental group showed significantly increased expressions of β3AR in primary adipose cell and 3T3-L1 cell, and those of leptin in primary adipose cell and 3T3-L1 cell were decreased significantly. SJB 100 ㎕/㎖ extract group showed significant decrease in the expression of TNF- α. 8. SJB 500 ㎎/㎏ extract group showed decrease in the size of adipocyte in adipocytes tissue. 9. All experimental group showed significant decrease in adipose vacuoles in liver tissue.

Objectives : In oreder to investigate the effects of Soongijeseub-bang(Shunqichushi-fang)(here in after referred to SJB) on the obese gene and obese inhibitory, on C57BL/6 mice were induced by high fat diet. Methods : C57BL/6 mice were divided into three groups(normal, high fat diet with control, high fat diet with SJB extract) and fed for 15 weeks. And observed that, body weight change, final increase of body weight, the weight change of the adipocytes, the level change of ALT, AST, creatinine, total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, triglyceride, NEFA, glucose, the expression of β3AR, leptin, and TNF-α gene in primary adipocytes and adipocytes tissue. Results : The following results were obtained in this study. 1. SJB 500 ㎎/㎏ extract group showed considerable decrease in weight, the final increase of weight and the amount of adipocyte in weight. 2. All experimental group showed that the amount of ALT, AST, total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, triglyceride and NEFA were decreased considerably. SJB 500 ㎎/㎏ extract group showed the amount of HDL-cholesterol and leptin were increased considerably. 3. All experimental group showed that the revelation of β3AR in primary adipose cell and 3T3-L1 cell were increased considerably, and that the revelation of leptin in primary adipose cell and 3T3-L1 cell were decreased considerably. SJB 100 ㎕/㎖ extract group showed that the revelation of TNF-α were decreased considerably. 4. SJB 500 ㎎/㎏ extract group showed that the size of adipocyte in adipocytes tissue were decreased. 5. All experimental group showed that the adipose vacuoles in liver tissue were decreased considerably. Conclusions : Comparison of the results for this study showed that SJB is effective on obesity care and has obese-inhibitory effects in obese mouse induced by high fat diet. So it is respected that the clinical application of SJB can help the treatment of obesity.
