We proposed a new directional edge based interpolation, DEBI, by combining two weighted directional information to reduce blurred edges and annoying artifacts. Four isotropic gradient masks are employed in defining edge directions and they are proven to hold a first order derivative relation with respect to a rotating coordinate. Two minimum gradients among four absolute directional results are shown to be sufficient to describe slant edges efficiently. Compared with widely used bilinear and bicubic interpolation methods, the proposed algorithm results in a noticeable improvement along edge area. 방향성 그라디언트 매스크의 크기값을 네 방향 에지 정보에 적용하여 선택된 두 방향의 가중된 합으로 표현하는 새로운 에지기반보간 기법 (Directional edge based interpolation, DEBI)을 제안한다. 네 방향의 그라디언트 정보를 추출하기 위한 등방성 그라디언트 매스크를 소개하고, 영상 보간을 이웃한 후보 영역 중에서 가장 유사한 영역을 선정하며, 선택된 영역만을 이용하여 보간을 실시한다. 보간 방향은 등방성 그라디언트 매스크의 최소 절대값을 나타내는 두 방향만이 이용되고, 그라디언트 매스크의 에지성분 특성에 따라서 영상 보간 방향이 결정된다. 두 방향의 보간값은 그라디언트 값을 가중치로 이용하는 방법으로 주변 간을 단순 평균에 의한 기존의 방법에 비하여, 영상 밝기 변화가 심한 곳과 경계선 영역에서 효과적임을 실험으로 증명하였다.
Vision Transformer를 활용한 비전 데이터 기반 자율주행자동차 사고 취약상황 예측 및 시나리오 도출

Recently, various studies have been conducted to improve automated vehicle (AV) safety for AVs commercialization. In particular, the scenario method is directly related to essential safety assessments. However, the existing scenario do not have objectivity and explanability due to lack of data and experts' interventions. Therefore, this paper presents the AVs safety assessment extended scenario using real traffic accident data and vision transformer (ViT), which is explainable artificial intelligence (XAI). The optimal ViT showed 94% accuracy, and the scenario was presented with Attention Map. This work provides a new framework for an AVs safety assessment method to alleviate the lack of existing scenarios.
유한요소법을 이용한 스피커 시스템 밀폐함 내부의 음장해석

본 연구에서는 직각형의 밀폐함 내부 음장이 임피던스와 음압응답에 미치는 효과를 유한요소법을 직각형의 밀폐함에 적용하여 연구하였다. 이론 및 실험결과가 비교적 잘 일치하여 유한요소법이 다양한 모드를 나타내는 스피커 시스템의 개발에 유용한 방법임을 확인하였다. In this study, the interior acoustic field of a speaker system with rectangular closed cavity and its effect on the impedance and the sound pressure reponses are investigated by applying the finite element method to the rectangular enclosure. Based on a good agreement with the theoretical and the experimental, it is founded that FEM is useful method for the development of a speaker system generating the diverse mode.

An MRC(Magneto-rheological Clutch) has a great potential of application because of its good transmissibility, little wear-out and fast response to electrical control signal. Though many MRCs have been developed for years, there has not been an research on the method to predict the performance of MRC except the simplified mathematical models. But the simplified mathematical models do not fit well since their performance has close relations with shapes of clutches and viscosity distribution throughout the fluids caused by applied magnetic fields. in this study, the CFD and FEM analyses were applied to various shape of MRC and the methods were examined in experiments.
클러스터링을 통한 역세권 잠재 개발역량 평가 연구 : 서울시 2호선 대중교통 용량 및 토지 특성을 중심으로

As the problems caused by rapid urbanization and reckless urban development were raised, Transit Oriented Development (TOD), an eco-friendly and sustainable complex development centered on public transportation, is being developed in urban railway station areas in metropolitan Korea. Hence, it is deemed necessary to evaluate the development potential for areas where urban development is required and find ways to efficiently utilize the urban space. However, although the Seoul Government’s urban master plan classified the spatial structure according to the central system for balanced regional development, due to the large size of the area, there is a limit on the development area suitable for the characteristics of a small area such as a single station. This study aims to evaluate the development potential of the station area of Seoul Metro Line 2 based on the current maximum capacity of public transportation and land characteristics. Furthermore, it aims to devise a method for the efficient utilization of urban space by reorganizing the existing central system. Through the analysis, we found station areas that required further development and confirmed the need for the expansion of the central system and addition of a hub. Specifically, in the case of Dongbuk (Northeastern region), there were a total of four metro lines in Wangsimni and significant traffic demand. However, compared to four other regions, overall development indicators were low. Thus, it is necessary to have additional development based on Konkuk University and Seongsu, which have sufficient transportation capacity. This study is expected to contribute to balanced regional development by evaluating the development potential of TODs based on the current development capacity of the station area Metro Line 2 and propose a reorganization of the central system of the “2030 Seoul Plan,” the urban master plan of Seoul.
