Nutritional value of protein in food is affected by various factors also influenced upon the amount of protin utilization directly or indirectly. Among them, the level of energy intake is belived one of most important factor. Substances in food were connected with digestive enzymes. Therefore, I hare tried to observe the general protein requirement when subject persons ate the Korean mixed diets whose energy intake level was expected to be minimum amount required or slightly below than the proper level. Six healthy adult female college students were eaten four kinds of Korean mixed diets with protein levels of 0.45, 0.60, 0.75, and 0.90g per Kg of body weight per day individually for 6 days respectively which had them maintain their body weight in minimum level of limited energy intake. It has been concluded from the observation of energy and protein intake, body weight change, urinary and fecal nitrogen losses, and utilization in body for last 3 days in each meals. 1. Energy intake was 31~41kcal/Kg/day respectively and average 36.3±3.4kcal/Kg/day. 2. Body weight of subjects were decreased 0.7Kg on an average for experimental period of 24 days. 3. The digestion-absorption rate of protein in body which was contained in Korean mixed diets was average 85.2±9.2% 4. The practical utilization rates of protein on this experimental condition were 13.2~100 %, average. 57.3±16.1% differences which resulted from character and meals were large. 5. The minimum requirement of protein by Korean mixed diets with marginal energy intake was 0.82g/kg of body weight on this experimental condition.
