Bacillus subtilis protoporphyrinogen oxidase 유전자를 Agrobacterium을 매개체로 이용하여 전이 시킨 후 cauliflower mosaic virus 35S promoter하에서 발현케 한 형질전환 담배를 유기하였다. 이러한 형질전환 담배의 diphenyl ether계 제초제 oxfluorfen에 대한 생리적 반응과 여러 환경 조건에서의 생장 반응을 재배종 담배와 비교하였다. Oxyfluorfen의 처리에 의해 나타나는 세포내 구성물질의 누출과 지질과산화작용은 재배종 담배에서보다 형질전환 담배에서 더 작게 이루어졌다. 형질전환 담배의 생장을 여러 온도, 광도 및 수분 조건에서 조사한 결과, 저광도와 포화수분 조건에서의 생장이 재배종 담배에 비해 다소 저하되는 현상이 나타났을 뿐 기타 조건에서의 생장은 재배종 담배의 생장과 거의 동일하였다. 따라서 B. subtilis protoporphyrinogen oxidase 유전자를 전이시켜 cauliflower mosaic virus 35S promoter하에서 발현케 한 형질전환 담배는 oxyfluorfen에 대해 비교적 높은 저항성을 나타내지만 형질전환에 따른 생장 변화는 크게 일어나지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 한편 이러한 형질전환 담배의 oxyfluorfen에 대한 저항성 기작에 대해서도 논의하였다. The transgenic tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum cv. Xanthi) plants containing Bacillus subtilis protoporphyrinogen oxidase gene with cauliflower mosaic virus 35S promoter have recently been generated by using Agrobacterium-mediated gene transformation. The nontransgenic and the transgenic tobacco plants were compared with respect to responses to diphenyl ether herbicide oxyfluorfen and under various environmental conditions. Both cellular leakage and lipid peroxidation caused by oxyfluorfen were found to be less in the transgenic than in the nontransgenic plants. Growth responses of the transgenic plants under various temperature, light, and water conditions were almost the same as those of the nontransgenic plants, although the transgenic plants exhibited slightly more retarded growth under low light or saturated water condition. These results revealed that the transgenic tobacco plants containing B. subtilis protoporphyrinogen oxidase gene under cauliflower mosaic virus 35S promoter were relatively resistant to oxyfluorfen and exhibited normal growth pattern. Possible mechanism of resistance to oxyfluorfen in the transgenic plants is also discussed.

The main feature of electret is their ability to remove particulate matter from polluted air by strong electrostatic forces generated by the electret fibers from which they are made. High voltage corona discharge methode were used to made electret filter, and the performance characteristics of electret filter were measured by Filter Tester(TSI, Model 8130). Tests against various conditions shown that electret filters capture fine dust particles very effectively, while offering minimum of flow resistance.

This paper presents performance analysis and field test for ride comfortability of a vehicle with electrorheological(ER) damper. A dynamic model of the ER damper is formulated by the bond graph method incorporating eectric field-dependent Bingham properties of ER fluid obtained experimentally. Based on this model, the ER damper is designed and manufactured for a small-sized passenger vehicle. Subsequently. the vehicle with ER damper is modeled to analyze performance through computer simulation. Both simualtion and field test show that the proposed semiactive ER suspension system can provide superior ride comfortability to some conventional system.<br/>

The improved hitch device, which connecting the trailer to power tiller, was developed. This device, composed with spring and rubber, could reduce the vibration and shock levels during driven on off-road. The vertical vibration accelerations for the improved hitch device were measured at 6 positions, i.e. engine, hitch, seat, and three points in trailer (front, middle, and rear) for not driving but at low engine speed of 500 rpm, and compared with the existing hitch device. The results of this study could be summarized as follows; The average vibration acceleration up to 120 Hz was $0.4m/s^2$ at engine part, but it was 0.08 and $0.05m/s^2$ at trailer for existing and improved hitch device, respectively. About $38\%$ of average acceleration level could be absorbed for the improved hitch device compared with existing hitch device. The average vibration acceleration up to 40 Hz was reduced to 0.12 and $0.06m/s^2$ at trailer for existing and improved hitch device respectively, showing the reduction effect of $50\%$. The maximum acceleration occurred at up to 20 Hz of low frequency was much higher than total acceleration occurred at up to 120 Hz, which means that much loss or damage could be occurred during transporting of agricultural products on off-road. The portions of average acceleration occurred at up to 20 Hz of low frequency were $27\%\;and\;21\%$ for the existing and improved hitch device, respectively.
