Magnoliae Flos is in use in Korean medicine. The Korean medical doctors use Magnoliae Flos for expelling wind and clearing away cold(祛風散寒), etc. We investigated toxicity, poisoning symptoms, side effect, poisoning treatment and prevention against poisoning of Magnoliae Flos. The results were summarized as follows: 1.The toxic chatracter of Magnoliae Flos is insignificant. The poisoning symptoms or side effects from Magnoliae Flos are mainly dizziness, conjunctival congestion, thirst, dryness of nasal cavity, etc. And this medicine can cause allergic reaction. 2. If the patient has poisoning reactions or side effects, the patient should stop taking medicine of Magnoliae Flos. In that case, the poisoning reactions or side effects will be disappeared. 3. In order to prevent against poisoning of Magnoliae Flos, the patients should keep usage, dosage and notes.

Quisqualis Fructus is in use in eastern medicine. The eastern medical doctors use Quisqualis Fructus for killing insects(殺蟲), increasing digestion(消食), etc. We investigated toxicity, poisoning symptoms, poisoning treatment and prevention against poisoning of Quasqualis Fructus. The results were summarized as follows: 1. The main ingredients of poisoning are potassium quisqualate, etc. The ingredients of poisoning from Quisqualis Fructus mainly cause stimulating symptoms on gastrointestinal, etc and cause allergic reaction occasionally. 2. The representative methods of poisoning treatment in eastern medicine take advantage of herbs, such as nutshell of Quisqualis Fructus(使君子殼), Glycyrrhizae Radix(甘草), Phaseoli Radiati Semen(綠豆), etc. And eastern medical doctors should meet symptoms as patients call for attention. 3. The representative methods of poisoning treatment in western medicine are washing out the stomach, promotion of vomiting, causing diarrhea, supplies of grape sugar and diuresis, etc. 4. In order to prevent against poisoning of Quisqualis Fructus, the patients should keep usage, dosage and notes.

Solar thermal power generation allows additional benefits of cheap thermal storage and easy hybridization with other fossil fuel-driven power generation. KIER has been performing the project for solar thermal chemical reaction hybrid power generation. The project is to build and operate the first solar thermal chemical reaction hybrid power generation system in Korea. For concentrating solar thermal energy m² dish type concentrator was adapted and a heliostat is installed for reflecting horizontal insolation to the dish concentrator. At the moment building the dish concentrator including mirror and heliostat with sun tracking system was completed and it's performance are being closely evaluated. This paper will introduce some detailed designs and construction procedures which we have experienced so far.

The photosensitive properties and carrier transport in the organic photoconductor with double carrier transport layers(DCTL) of polymer matrix doped with two carrier transport materials above carrier generation layer (CGL) containing oxotitanium phthalocyanine(TiOPc) were investigated. The CGL of TiOPc dispersed in poly (vinylbutyral) was formed as tickness of 0.1 μm and the double carrier transport layer was prepared by coating polycarbonate and polyester doped with hydrazone and triphenylamine derivatives as tickness of 0.5 μm, respectively. We have measured photo-induced discharge curve(PIDC), xerographic time-of-flight(XTOF), time-of-fight(TOF), and UV-visible reflective spectrum of these organic photoconductors. In this work, the organic photoconductor with double carrier transport layers was shown better properties in photosensitivity and drift mobility than with the single transport layer. It was found that the characteristics of carrier transport were mainly caused by the ionization potential difference of constitutive materials in molecularly doped polymer.
시각특성기반 FM 스크린에 의한 잉크젯 프린터의 측색적 색재현

There are several methods to halftone continuous image. The widespread methods are dithering and error-diffusion. Non-linear color transform by using neural network depends on halftoning methods. Error diffusion has jump of tone in the middle tone area. This affects teaming of neural network and results in increasing color difference. In this paper, we apply FM screen based on visual characteristic to color image. Tone density curve of FM screen is better than that of error diffusion. As a result, using FM screen as halftoning method affects colorimetric color reproduction by neural network and results in decreasing color difference.

Objective of the research is to demonstrate solar thermal space and ground heating system which is integrated to a greenhouse culture facility for reducing heating cost, increasing the value of product by environment control, and developing advanced culture technology by deploying solar thermal system. Field test for the demonstration was carried out in horticulture complex in Jeju Island. Medium scale solar hot water system was installed in a ground heating culture facility. Reliability and economic aspect of the system which was operated complementary with thermal storage and solar hot water generation were analyzed by investigating collector efficiency, operation performance, and control features. Short term day test on element performance and Long term test of the whole system were carried out. Optimum operating condition and its characteristics were closely investigated by changing the control condition based on the temperature difference which is the most important operating parameter. For establishing more reliable and optimal design data regarding system scale and operation condition, continuous operation and monitoring on the system need to be further carried out. However, it is expected that, in high-insolation areas where large-scale ground storage is adaptable, solar system demonstrated in the research could be economically competitive and promisingly disseminate over various application areas.

KIER has been running a demonstration project for 10kWe solar thermal power generation. the project is to build and operate the first solar thermal power generation system in Korea. For concentrating solar thermal energy 40m² dish type concentrator was adapted and a stirling engine is going to be integrated to the system for power production. At the moment building the dish concentrator including mirror and sun tracking system was completed and it's performance are being closely evaluated. This paper will introduce some detailed designs and construction procedures which we have experienced so far.
동추침(東樞鍼)의 비침습적 간사혈(間使穴) 자극과 자연복식호흡(自然腹式呼吸)이 심박변이도에 미치는 영향

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to assess a effect of medical Qikong treatment by using “DONG CHU CHIM” and medical Qikong treatment by using “DONG CHU CHIM” with Natural Abdominal Breathing and Natural Abdominal Breathing. Methods: 1. The authors stimulated Gansa point of 6 normal adults using ``DONG CHU CHIM``. 2. The Abdominal Breathing has been carried comfortably, with Consciousness placed in the lower abdomen. 3. This study has been proceeded in three periods.(the former period of acupuncture stimulus, acupuncture stimulus period, the latter period of acupuncture stimulus) results and Conclusions: The stimulus of ``DONG CHU CHIM`` and The stimulus of ``DONG CHU CHIM`` with Natural Abdominal Breathing and Natural Abdominal Breathing can affect to the autonomic nervous system. So we wish to more studies about the effect of ``DONG CHE CHIN`` in the future.
