Curcumin과 관련 성분들의 산화방지활성과 세포독성 분석 및 구조와 활성 연관성 조사

본 연구에서는 curcumin과 관련 구조물질인 ferulic acid, DBM, THC을 사용하여 이들의 산화방지활성과 세포독성을 나타내는 활성과 구조 간의 연관성을 분석하였다. 각종 라디칼 소거활성과 지질산화 억제 반응에서 DBM은 거의 활성을 나타내지 못해, methoxy phenolic기가 중요한 기능 구조로 나타났으며 α, β-unsaturated carbonyl기도 이들의 산화방지 활성에 일부 관여하는 것으로 보인다. Curcumin 유도체들의 세포독성과 이들의 산화방지활성 간에는 연관성이 거의 없었으며, ROS의 생성에는 α, β-unsaturated carbonyl기가 중요한 역할을 담당하나 세포독성의 직접적인 원인이 아닌 것으로 판단된다. 세포독성 유발에는 β-diketone 구조가 중요한 역할을 하였으며, SOD/catalase 등에 의한 구조의 안정화가 세포독성을 더욱 강화시키는 것으로 판단된다. Curcumin과 ferulic acid의 조합처리에 의해 독성이 증가한 반면, DBM과 curcumin을 같이 처리 시 독성이 상쇄되었으며 THC과 curcumin은 서로 부가적인 세포독성을 나타냈다. Bioactivities of curcumin, a major pigment of Curcuma longa L., have been widely investigated. In this study, the antioxidant and cytotoxic properties of curcumin and its analogs including ferulic acid, dibenzoylmethane (DBM), and tetrahydrocurcumin (THC), and their structure-activity relationships were assessed. Ferulic acid, THC, and curcumin showed strong scavenging activities against several radicals and exhibited considerable lipid peroxidation inhibitory activity. Curcumin showed the strongest cytotoxic activities against HeLa, HCT-116, IEC-6 and INT 407 cells, whereas ferulic acid did not show any cytotoxic effect up to 100 μM against these cell lines. Cytotoxicity of curcumin and THC was significantly enhanced by superoxide dismutase and diminished by N-acetylcysteine. The combination treatment of curcumin and ferulic acid enhanced the cytotoxicity, whereas the combination of curcumin and DBM offset their toxicity. These results suggest that methoxy phenolic and β-diketon moieties are crucial for the antioxidant- and cytototoxic activities of curcumin, respectively.
The Fingerprint of Memory and the Impossibility of Mourning in David Lindsay-Abaire"s Rabbit Hole

This paper aims to discuss the intersubjective relationship between memory and the impossibility of mourning, comparing it with Freud"s successful mourning. Derrida doubted the success of mourning and examined that the work of mourning becomes possible when it is remembered as "others", not through internalization. Mourning can be done in a variety of ways and doesn"t necessarily have to be successful. Becca and Howie suddenly lost their beloved 4-year-old son. They share the house, a chaotic space like a rabbit hole, and show the opposite attitude to loss and grief. Becca tries to clean up the stuffs of memories but Howie keeps. The feelings of loss and processes of memories lead mourning to their daily lives with others.

헤어숍의 경험마케팅, 지각된 가치, 브랜드 태도, 행도의도 간의 인과관계

As an empirical research on the causal relationship between experience marketing, perceived value, brand attitude, and behavior of hair shopss, this study aimed to unveil causality among variables. For the statistical analysis of the collected data, SPSS V.21.0 and AMOS 21.0 were used .The study results found the following: First, Experiential marketing would have a positive influence on perceived value with statistical significance(β =0.751, p<.05). Second, Experiential marketing would have a positive influence on brand attitude with statistical significance (β=0.683, p<.05). Third, Experiential marketing would have a positive influence on behavioral intention with statistical significance (β=0.403, p<.05).Fourth, perceived value showed a positive influence on brand attitude with statistical significance (β=0.214, p<.001). Fifth, perceived value had a positive influence on behavioral intention with statistical significance (β=0.138, p<.01). Sixth, brand attitude had a positive influence on behavioral intention with statistical significance (β=0.398, p<.001).
민감성 피부에서 부식성 및 비부식성 자극물질에 의한 피부자극에 관한 비교연구

Background: Sensitive skin is largely agreed to be a lay term used by individuals who have reduced tolerance to frequent or prolonged use of cosmetics and toiletries, with symptoms ranging from subjective neurosensory forms of discomfort such as stinging, burning, itching, tightness and smarting sensations to visible signs of irritation such as erythema and scaling. Although the concept of sensitive skin is intriguing to many dermatologists, the diagnosis is dependant on self-perceived symptoms. Models to define sensitive skin are not standardized, and the term sensitive skin can be misleading. Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate difference of influence to skin barrier function between corrosive and non-corrosive agents in sensitive skin. Methods: 0.1%, 0.25%, 0.5%, 2% solution of sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and 1%, 2.5%, 5%, 20% solution of nonanoic acid (NAA) were applied on volar forearm skin for 24 hours in healthy controls and self-perceived sensitive skin subjects without underlying problems. Clinical score, transepidermal water loss (TEWL), and erythema-index (E-index) were compared between healthy controls and the sensitive skin group. Results: Clinical scores, TEWL values and E-indices showed a rising curve concentration for each irritant in a similar pattern. There were no significant differences in clinical score and TEWL value between non-sensitive and sensitive skin. In contrast, E-indices evaluated from sensitive skin subjects were much higher than those in a healthy controls. Conclusion: An elevated TEWL value indicates barrier impairment. An increase in the erythema parameter shows that cutaneous vascular reactions have an unspecifically exaggerated reaction to various irritants and this induces multifarious inflammatory reactions and vasodilation. Therefore, the results of this study suggest that sensitive skin without underlying disease is derived from cutaneous vascular hyperreactivity and various inflammatory reactions, rather than barrier impairment.
