The alkaline dissolution behavior and dyeing properties of acid dyes and reactive dyes on sea-island type ultrafine nylon fiber were investigated in this study. The alkaline dissolution behavior was very dependent on the concentration of NaOH and temperature, the most appropriate condition was to treat the fabric with 10 g/l NaOH for 30 min at $90^{\circ}C$. The dye uptakes of the ultrafine nylon and regular nylon fiber decreased as the dyebath pH increased. Although the exhaustion percentages of the ultrafine nylon fiber were higher than those of the regular nylon at all pHs, the color strength of the dyed ultrafine fabrics were weaker due to the increased surface area per unit mass. The washing fastness of the ultrafine nylon fibers dyed with the reactive dyes was found to be excellent.

This study was to investigate the scouring and bleaching efficiency of blended yam with chitosan/nano-silver composite fiber(CSY) and its knit(CSK) compared with common cotton yam(CMF) and knit(CMK). The scouring and bleaching efficiency were analyzed by weight loss, whiteness and reflectance. The variation of bacterial reduction in various concentrations of hydrogen peroxide and alkalis(soda ash, caustic soda) was assessed. Significant change of physical properties of CSY(CSK) compared with CMY(CMK) was not observed. However, the antibacterial properties were dominantly influenced by pre-treatment conditions.

The dyeing properties of PET/dyeable PP blend fabrics were investigated with different types of disperse dye. The higher energy disperse dyes showed better build-up properties on both the PET and PP fibers and the dyeability gap between the materials was lower, especially at higher dyeing concentrations. Nevertheless, some color differences between the two materials were unavoidable. In terms of dyeing temperature, a higher dyeing temperature produced a bigger dyeability difference between the PET and dyeable PP due to the increased dyeing site capacity gap. The rongalite reduction clearing method showed a lower color yield in the PP compared with a conventional reduction clearing method using sodium hydrosulfite.

The objective of this study was to investigate the bleaching efficiency of chitosan/nano-silver composite fiber (CSF) compared with cotton fiber (CMF). The bleaching efficiency was analyzed by the weight loss and reflectance. The variation of tenacity and viscosity in various concentration of hydrogen peroxide and alkalis (soda ash, caustic soda) were observed. The molecular weight and tenacity of bleached CSF decreased as the hydrogen peroxide and alkali concentration increased, however significant change of bleaching efficiency was not determined.

The objective of this study was to investigate the dye absorption properties of chitosan/nano-silver composite fiber (CSF) and their blended knit fabrics (CSK) compare with cotton fiber (CMF) and their knit fabrics (CMK). The dye absorption of CSF and CSK showed relatively high level compared to that of the CMF and CMK, but K/S value of CMK was higher than that of CSK. In the case of CSF and CSK, most of dyes were exhausted within 20 minutes after completing the dyeing process regardless of dye reactive groups and affinities, and there were no significant decreases in the washing and rubbing fastness compared with CMK.

When glyoxal was used as a crosslinking agent and aluminium ammonium sulfate as a catalyst for durable-press finishing, coreactants and additives to minimize the decrease of physical properties of durable-press finished cotton fabrics were studied. Also, optimum conditions such as coreactant/glyoxal mole ratio, the concentration of additives and the effects of one-bath and two-bath were investigated. Under the optimum concentration of DEG, the whiteness and strength retention of the fabrics treated with glyoxal/DEG/additive mixtures were increased while wrinkle recovery angles were decreased significantly. Under the optimum concentration of each additive, cotton fabrics were treated with various impregnation time in order to find the effect of two-bath method. The whiteness of cotton fabrics was increased by two-bath method, and wrinkle recovery angles were decreased either slightly or unchanged while the strength retention was not affected.
강사장교 거더와 주탑에 하중저항계수설계법의 보-기둥 상관식을 사용한 내하율 산정식 적용

강사장교의 거더와 주탑은 축력과 모멘트를 동시에 받는 보-기둥 부재이기 때문에 단일 힘을 고려하는 일반도로교의 내하율 산정식은 강사장교의 거더와 주탑에 적용할 수 없다. 현재, 사장교의 거더와 주탑에 적용 가능한 이론적인 내하율 산정방법은 아직 정립되지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 축력과 모멘트를 동시에 받는 부재의 상관공식을 적용하여 강사장교 거더와 주탑의 내하율을 산정하기 위한 식을 제안하였다. 영향선해석을 수행하여 각 부재에 압축력 최대, 정 및 부모멘트 최대의 경우에 활하중 재하 형태를 결정하였고 각 부재의 내하율 산정절차를 정리하였다. 제안된 내하율 산정방법의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 실교량 모델인 돌산대교에 대한 적용예를 제시하였다. 일반도로교의 내하율 산정식은 돌산대교 거더와 주탑의 내하율을 과대평가 하였으며, 제안된 내하율 산정식은 축력과 모멘트를 동시에 지지하는 사장교 거더와 주탑의 거동을 적절히 반영하였다. As girders and towers in cable-stayed bridges are subject to bending moments as well as axial forces, the conventional load rating equation, which considers only the single force effect, cannot be used to evaluate the rating factors of cable-stayed bridges. The load rating equation for components in cable-stayed bridges is not currently established yet. In this paper, we propose load rating equations for girders and towers in cable-stayed bridges using the interaction equations for beam-column members. Moving load analyses were performed for the cases of a maximum axial compressive force, maximum positive moment and maximum negative moment for each component in cable-stayed bridges and detailed procedures to apply proposed equations were presented. The Dolsan Grand Bridge was used to verify the validity of proposed equations. The conventional load rating equation overestimates rating factors of girders and towers in the Dolsan Grand Bridge, whereas proposed equations properly reflect the axial-flexural interaction behaviour of girders and towers in cable-stayed bridges.

Treatment of cotton fabrics with elastic textile finishing agents (ETFAs) can render elasticity and softening characteristics to the fabrics. Usually, commercial ETFAs contain two or three components; further it is difficult to ensure homogeneous mixing during textile finishing. In the present study, an aqueous poly(dimethyl siloxane) (PDMS)-modified polyurethane (PU) dispersion (ETFA-1) was prepared as a one-component ETFA and used to treat cotton knit fabrics. The average size of the PDMS-modified PU particles was 179 nm. After treatment with ETFA-1, the stretch recovery rate of the cotton knit fabrics increased from 57.2% to 94.3%, and their softness was also improved.
