The friction welding process may be utilized as a new approach for joining them instead of other conventional welding processes. It is because the friction welding has more technical and economic advantages than the other welding processes. As this welding process has the characteristics such as curtailment of production time, materials, cost reduction, etc. So this paper deals with determining the proper friction welding condition and analyzing mechanical properties of friction welded joints.

The shock absorbers for marine vehicles are very important components to absorbing the shock resulting from driving. Depending on the kinds of vehicles, these essential components, piston and piston rod, must be made of S25C, S45C, and SCM440, must be precisely machined, and assembled by the bolts. Other materials used have been difficult to weld, and could be unstable in quality, by the conventional arc welding. Also, they have been associated with a lot of technical problems in manufacturing. However, using the friction welding technique, such problems will be avoided. These factors have necessitated the domestic development of the marine shock absorber using a friction welding, as well as stimulating a new approach to the study of real-time weld quality evaluation by AE techniques.

In this study, TV ATCA(Automatic Tape Cutting Connector) has been developed for a Television. A benchmarking study for Computer Connector and Smart phone Connector has been carried out A test Machine for TV ATCA has been developed and applied to the developed sample. In the test results of comparing the developed sample with the Handle, three major characteristics- the working time, workflow and incomes - are in the range of the intended target. A practical process for the evolution design is proposed. As the development of the new equipment, the operation times has been shortened from 15 seconds to 2.5 seconds, and precision was improved 0.05mm to 0.3mm.
