In recent years abrasive water jet (AWJ) has received significant attention as a technology used in the manufacturing industry for cutting materials. In this paper we report the development of a new preparation method of abrasives for water jet by using an air bubbling sedimentation rate control technique. The SiC abrasives prepared by an air bubbling sedimentation rate control technique using latex resin are found to be superior to the conventional abrasives not only in surface roughness uniformity but also in lifetime. The AWJ test results also show that the former has also better impact-resistance and wear-resistance than the latter.

To develop a new functional fruit wine, quality characteristics and physiological functionality of wild grape wine (WGW) were investigated and compared with that of foreign grape wine (FGW). Ethanol contents of WGW was 11.0%, similar to that of FGW(10.6%), but total acidity(0.67%) and total anthocyanin content($A_{520}$: 0.32) of WGW were higher than those of FGW(0.4%, 0.22). Antioxydant activity and SOD-like activity of WGW which is related in anti-aging functionality were 93.6% and 53.0%, respectively, higher than those of FGW(85.9%, 42.5%). from this results, we concluded domestic wild grape wine is very excellent functional fruit wine.

Purpose : This study aimed to determine the frequencies of $CD4^+CD25^+$ T cells in donor graft and peripheral blood $CD4^+CD25^+$ T cells in recipients after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) and their association with graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). Methods : Seventeen children who underwent HSCT were investigated. $CD4^+CD25^+$ T cells in samples from donor grafts and recipient peripheral blood were assessed by flow cytometry at 1 and 3 months after transplantation. Results : $CD4^+CD25^+$ T cell frequencies in the grafts showed no significant difference between patients with and without acute GVHD (0.90% vs. 1.06%, P=0.62). Absolute $CD4^+CD25^+$ T cell number in grafts were lower in patients with acute GVHD than in those without acute GVHD ($6.18{\times}10^5/kg$ vs. $25.85{\times}10^5/kg$, P=0.09). Patients without acute GVHD showed a significant decrease in peripheral blood $CD4^+CD25^+$ T cell percentage at 3 months compared to those at 1 month after HSCT (2.11% vs. 1.43%, P=0.028). However, in patients with acute GVHD, $CD4^+CD25^+$ T cell percentage at 3 months was not different from the corresponding percentage at 1 month after HSCT (2.47% vs. 2.30%, P=0.5). Conclusion : The effect of frequencies of $CD4^+CD25^+$ T cells in donor grafts on acute GVHD after HSCT could not be identified, and the majority of peripheral blood $CD4^+CD25^+$ T cells in patients who underwent HSCT may be activated T cells related to acute GVHD rather than regulatory T cells. Further studies with additional markers for regulatory T cells are needed to validate our results.

In 1926 Keimyung(啓明) No. 15 and 16, Lee Bo-sang transferred Hangul edition of Honggildong-jeon to Hangul-suffixed-Chinese -story. Lee Bo-sang's Honggildong-jeon was based largely on the Gyeongpan(京板) edition, and contains criticisms of the existing Honggildon-gjeon. It is unique that Jeong Do-jeon(鄭道傳) is to blame for the discrimination of legitimate children and illegitimate children, caused by the writer's historical consciousness, but the story is no different from the previous Honggildong-jeon. From 1939 on to 1940, Lee Bo-sang translated Honggildong-jeon into a new series, which was published 242 times in Maeilsinbo(每日申報) under the title ‘Chokgyuwha’(蜀葵花) which means hollyhock. Chokgyuwha critically inherited the existing Honggildong-jeon and was adapted into a full-length novel that had many fantastic elements which was influenced by Fengshen-yanyi(封神演義). One way Lee Bo-sang has expanded into a feature novel is to add several episodes. Some of them criticize the powerful in the rural communities, but some of them are significantly weakened by the controversial issue of the ruling order compared to the existing Honggildong-jeon. Lee Bo-sang only carries a critical message to the extent that Hong Gil-dong, the child of a concubine can’t call his gather and that put corrupt persons to shame.

Effects of rice varieties, fermentation temperature, nuruks and yeast on the quality of yakju (Korean traditional rice wine) were investigated. Among various yakju made by using some rice varieties, Chucheong yakju produced the highest ethanol of 18.9%. The maximum amount of ethanol was produced when 2% nuruk and 0.8% yeast were added to cooked Chucheong rice and fermented at 20℃ for 10 days. This Chucheong yakju also showed the best overall acceptability. Changes of physicochemical properties and sensory evaluation of the 3 kinds of Chucheong yakju made by cooked rice and uncooked rice and gruel rice were investigated during fermentation. Ethanol contents of uncooked rice- Chucheong yakju and gruel rice- Chucheong yakju were significantly increased from 10.6% and 9.9% after 3 days fermentation to 17.1% and 17.2% after 7 days fermentation. Sensory evaluation revealed the gruel rice - Chucheong yakju was the best in total acceptability with sweety and refreshing tastes.

한문현토소설 「쌍미합벽(雙美合璧)」의 근대적 서사 기법과 중세적 관념

1934년 10월부터 6개월 간 『매일신보』에 연재된 한문현토소설 「쌍미합벽」은 기존 고소설이나 야담을 부연하여 개작했던 이보상의 다른 소설과 달리 창작소설이다. 「쌍미합벽」에 영향을 준 작품으로는 김만중의 남정기 와 「구운몽」을 들 수 있다. 작품의 처음과 결말은 「구운몽」과 유사하고, 중간의 우여곡절은 「남정기」와 유사하다. 작품의 주제는 조선시대 기생 출신의 첩이 서치(書癡)인 시아버지의 동조를 이끌어 내어 벌이는 가정 분란이다. 「쌍미합벽」은 독자의 흥미를 유발시키기 위해 사건을 먼저 서술하고 이후에 사건의 원인이나 이유를 서술하는 도치서술 방식을 취한다. 시간순서를 역전하여 원인이나 계획을 나중에 서술함으로써 독자들에게 뜻하지 않은 장면을 맞닥뜨리게 함으로써 궁금증을 자아내게 한다. 「쌍미합벽」에도 신이한 현상이나 우연 같은 전근대적 요소들이 남아있기는 하지만 상반된 입장에서 벌이는 논쟁이 실감나게 묘사되는 데서 오는 핍진한 논리는 시간의 역전서술과 함께 이 작품의 근대적 서사 기법이라 할 만하다. 이보상의 소설들에서 인물구성은 대체로 정·부(正副)의 관계가 정·사(正邪)의 관계로 이어진다. 이는 고소설에서 자주 보이는 인물관계이니, 「남정기」와 「육미당기」 등에서 확인된다. 「쌍미합벽」에서 미모와 재덕을 겸비한 부인에 비해 첩 일지화는 미모도 덜하고 품성도 음란하고 사악하다. 삽화처럼 등장하는 조귀인(趙貴人)과 중궁(中宮)의 관계도 그러하다. 귀신 또는 신이한 현상의 등장 또한 이보상 소설의 공통점에 속하는 것으로 중세적 관념의 지속을 보여주는데 「쌍미합벽」 역시 그러하다. 이보상은 한글보다 한문을 옹호하는 입장에서 한문현토체 소설을 통해 조선의 문화를 보존하고 20세기 독자에게 전하려고 하였는데 그 가운데 「쌍미합벽」은 나름대로 근대적 서사기법을 활용하여 흥미로운 방식으로 조선시대 처첩의 갈등을 소설화하였다. SSangmihapbyeok is a novel by Lee Bosang (李輔相, 1882-1948) that is more original than his other novels. It is related to Namjeonggi (南征記) and Guunmong (九雲夢), as its beginning and ending are similar to Guunmong while its middle is similar to Namjeonggi. Inversion narrative is one of the distinctive features of SSangmihapbyeok. It is a suspenseful technique that involves opening on an incident scene before revealing the cause of the incident. SSangmihapbyeok is considered an old-style novel because it was written by hanmun, and contains many fantastic phenomena like other old novels. However, SSangmihapbyeok also contains many logical dialogues surrounding hostile relationships. With the inversion narrative, the logical dialogues make SSangmihapbyeok stand out from old novels. The main-secondary relationship is connected with the relationship of the right-false in the works of Lee Bosang. This relationship is often present in old novels, such as Namjeonggi and Yukmidangki (六美堂記). It is found in SSangmihapbyeok, as the concubine Iljihwa(一枝花) is less beautiful and more vicious than madam. We confirm the relationship between Jo-gwiin (趙貴人) and the Queen.
