The purpose of this study is to analyze the correlation between per capita education and training costs and business performance in order to understand the effects of education and training invest on business performance. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the investment cost of education and training of each company and business performance index was classified by the type and size of each industry, and the five variables(job performing abilities, labor productivity, corporate image, labour morale, prevention of turnover) were used as business performance index. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, it was found that large companies invest more in education and training than SMEs, and finance and non-financial service industries invested twice as much as manufacturing. Secondly, the business performance of the education and training investment showed the highest improvement in job performing abilities, followed by the improvement in labour morale, labor productivity, corporate image and prevention of turnover. Thirdly, as a result of the correlation analysis, there was a low positive correlation between the education and training investment and business performance. Thus, the education and training investment has a significant effect on business performance. Finally, based on the results of this study, theoretical and practical implications and future research topics are presented.
