In this paper, the pressure drops were investigated according to the sintered porous wick structure in loop heat pipe(LHP) by theoretical analysis. LHP has the wick only in evaporator for the circulation of working fluid, so utilizes porous wick structure which pore diameter is very small for large capillary force. This paper investigates the effects of different parameters on the pressure drops of the LHP such as particle daimeter of sintered porous wick, wick porosity, vapor line diameter, thickness of wick and heating capacity. Working fluid is water and the material of sintered porous wick is copper. According to the these different parameters, capillary pressure, pressure drop in wick were analized by theoretical design method of LHP.

This paper is to research the heat transfer characteristic in copper-water variable<br/> conductance heat pipes(VCHP) with a non-condensable gas and gas reservoir. The heat transfer<br/> characteristics in the VCHP have not yet been studied much researches. VCHP are used in<br/> many applications. These applications range from thermal control of components and systems on<br/> satellites, to precise temperature calibration duties, conventional electronics temperature control<br/> and thermal diodes. The practical use of VCHP is a simple way to control the temperature of<br/> satellites. As the quantity of NCG was increased, there was an increase in the saturation vapor<br/> temperatures. As the input heat has loaded from 90 W to 110 W, the difference of the<br/> evaporator surface is lower than 10°C.

The application of high velocity air jets to heat transfer surface has tremendous engineering potential in various industries. The impinging jets are therefore widely used for their enhanced transport characteristics, especially for drying of continuous materials such as sheet, film, carpets, forming materials and pallets. This paper presents the drying characteristics of plate type material and performs the test with the change of operating conditions in conveyer band dryer using the impinging jet nozzles. The factors influencing drying rate were confirmed, also the design data of band dryer using the impinging jet was obtained.

This paper presents drying characteristics of pulp mould (non-uniformed material) and perform the test with the change of operating conditions in conveyer band dryer using the impinging jet nozzles. The test result conveyer band dryer confirmed the factors influencing drying rate and the design data of band dryer using the impinging jet dryer obtained.
