The solid particles have a heat capacity larger than a gas or a liquid because of larger density and higher heat transfer efficiency because fluidizing around the heat transfer surface. Also, they have a cleaning function eliminating contaminated substances caused from a condensation water. The main purpose of this research is to derive design data required when developing solid particles circulation fluidized heat exchanger of high efficiency recovering a waste heat from high-temperature waste gas. Experiments were performed on the constant heat flux surface of a circular pipe to obtain heat transfer coefficients and pressure drops. From the results, the heat transfer rate increases maximum 26.9%.
