Patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) whose phenotype belongs to a craniofacial vulnerability are referred from sleep doctors to orthodontists. In adults, for osseo-pharyngeal reconstruction (OPR) treatment, permanent maxillomandibular advancement (MMA) surgery and use of a temporary mandibular advancement device (MAD) are applied. This case report demonstrates successful treatment of OSA through application of phased MAD and MMA in a 16-year-old male with craniofacial deformity and residual growth potential. This patient showed skeletal and dentoalveolar changes after 7-year MAD use throughout post-adolescence, which affected the design and timing of subsequent MMA surgery, as well as post-surgical orthodontic strategy. This case report suggests that OPR treatment can be useful for treatment of OSA in postadolescent patients, from an orthodontic point of view, in close collaboration with sleep doctors for interdisciplinary diagnosis and treatment.
식품포장 독성 저감 디자인이 브랜드 태도에 미치는 영향 - 영유아의 스틱 유제품을 중심으로-

최근 식품의 소비패턴이 다양해지고 있으며 기업은 다양한 소비욕구의 충족을 위한 제품개발로 브랜드의 차별화를 꾀하고 있다. 본 연구를 통해 식품포장의 안전성을 높인 디자인 소비자의 브랜드 태도를 변화시키고 나아가 브랜드의 차별화 전략의 방법론이 될 수 있음을 연구하였다. 본 연구는 식품의 포장제품 중 입으로 직접 빨아서 섭취하는 스틱형 제품을 중심으로 그라비어 인쇄의 잔존 독성을 저감 할 수 있는 디자인을 자극물로 제시, 영유아 자녀를 둔 부모를 중심고객으로 FGI를 통해 브랜드 태도와 구매의도를 조사하였다. 조사는 1~4차로, 1~2차는 제시한 자극물의 독성 저감 자극물의 콘셉트를 밝히기 전후의 브랜드 선호도 변화를 조사하였다. 3단계는 2단계에서 도출된 선호 브랜드에 독성 저감 표기사항을 부착한 자극물을 제시, 각 표시사항별 선호도를 조사하고 4단계는 2,3단계의 선호 브랜드와 이중포장 자극물을 제시, 구매의도와 브랜드 스위칭을 조사하였다. 조사의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째. 식품포장의 독성 저감 디자인이 기존 포장의 위해성에 대해 인지 후 선호도가 상승하였다. 둘째. 식품포장의 독성 저감 표시사항은 심볼화되어 인식이 쉬운 표시의 브랜드 선호도가 높게 조사 되었다. 셋째. 식품포장 독성 저감 디자인의 구매의도를 조사한 결과 모든 응답자가 그렇다고 답하였다. 본 연구를 통해 식품의 안전을 위한 생산과정의 안전관리를 넘어 식품포장의 안전성에도 소비자들의 관심도가 높았으며 식품포장의 독성 저감 디자인이 브랜드 태도에 영향을 미치고 그로 인한 구매의도를 형성하는 것으로 나타났다. Recently, the consumption patterns of food products are diverse and companies are trying to differentiate their brands by developing products to meet diverse consumer needs. In this study, we examined that it could change the brand attitude of design consumers that increased the safety of food packaging and thus become a methodology for the brand differentiation strategy. This study suggested design that reduce residual toxicity of gravier printing as a stimulus to children and suggested design that can reduce residual toxicity of gravier printing based on product that is consumed by mouth among packaged products of food. The survey investigated changes in brand preference before and after the survey revealed the intent to produce toxic reduction stimuli for the stimuli presented. Step 3 examined the preference for each indication by presenting a stimulus to the preferred brand derived in Step 2 with a marking of toxicological reduction. Step 4 presented preferred brands and double-package stimuli in steps 2 and 3, and investigated the intent to purchase and switch brands. The results of the survey are as follows. First, the preference for toxicological design of food packaging increased after it was recognized for the hazards of the existing packaging. Second, the toxicological reduction indication of food packaging was marked and the brand preference of recognizable indicators was highly investigated. Third, all respondents replied yes after investigating the intention of purchasing food packaging toxicity reduction design.
양마에서 분리한 Kaempferol과 그 배당체의 항균 및 주름억제 효과

In this study, kaempferol and its rhamnosides (α-rhamnoisorobin, afzelin, kaempferitrin) were isolated electively by bioconversion technology from Hibiscus cannabinus L. leaves to evaluate the anti-wrinkles effects and anti-microbial effects. In order to evaluate anti-wrinkles activity, reduction of expression matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1) protein and proliferation/ pro-collagen production were investigated. Kaempferol and α-rhamnoisorobin showed inhibition activity of MMP-1 generated to compared to positive control. In HaCaT cell proliferation assay, kaempferol and α-rhamnoisorobin significantly promoted cell proliferation in a concentration-dependent manner. In addition, procollagen synthesis assays (by HDF-N cell) showd that TGF-β induced procollagen production and also, all four kinds of experimental significantly promoted procollagen synthesis in a concentration-dependent manner. Kaempferol and α-rhamnoisorobin exhibited strong antimicrobial activities on five of microbes, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger.

In this study, to evaluate the anti-inflammatory effects of kaempferol and its rhamnosides isolated from Hibiscus cannabinus L. leaves, we investigated UVB-induced inhibitory effects on inflammatory reaction by measuring the cytokine as the prostaglandin (PGE2), interleukine-6 (IL-6) and interleukine-8 (IL-8). We investigated the inhibitory effects of kaempferol and its rhamnosides on TARC (thymus and activation-regulated chemokine) and PGE2. Kaempferol and α-rhamnoisorobin showed inhibition activity of TARC generated to compared to positive control. Kaempferol, α-rhamnoisorobin and afzelin Inhibited the release of PGE2. Also, only kaempferol significantly inhibited interleukine-6 (IL-6), interleukine-8 (IL-8) among UVB-induced inflammatory cytokine.
