An experimental study of the absorber with variations of tube diameters, used water vapor into a lithum bromide solution, was performed. Absorption chiller/heater can utilize the unused energy, like a life waste heat, a industry waste heat, a solar energy and an earth energy. Absorption chiller/heater has the demerit that the size of absorption chiller/heater was larger than that of vapor compression type based on same capacity. The purpose of this study was development of high performance and compactness using more smaller tube instead of an existing tube. The experimental apparatus has been set-up as a absorber, a generator, a controller and a constant temperature bath. Falling solution is sprayed on tube by a tray equipment. The size of tube diameters of absorber was 15.88mm, 12.7mm and 9.52mm. The results were that the cooling water outlet temperature in 15.88mm tube was higher than the other small tube by worser contact area, and concentration in smaller tubes was lower than the exiting tube.
