피부는 인체의 대부분을 차지하며 체온조절, 분비, 배설, 흡수 등의 다양한 작용을 하고, 몸의 가장 바깥쪽에 위치하며 외부로부터 인체를 보호하는 기능을 가지고 있다. 외부에 지속적으로 노출되는 피부는 환경적 스트레스로 인하여 피부의 노화를 일으키게 된다. 이러한 피부의 노화를 방지하고 손상된 피부의 기능을 회복하기 위하여 비타민과 미네랄을 섭취하거나 외부에서 공급하는 것은 피부의 정상적인 상태를 유지하는 데 있어서 필수적인 요소이다. 오늘날 현대인들이 외모에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 피부질환 및 노화를 방지하기 위해 손상 받은 피부를 빠르게 회복하기 위한 기능성 화장품이나 팩, 마사지, 전문적인 시술 등으로 피부 관리를 하고 있다. 본 연구는 천연물질인 감귤의 과피(果皮)를 이용하여 기능성 화장품 개발의 기초 자료를 제공하였다. 감귤의 과피(果皮)를 마쇄하여 효소반응을 일으킨 감귤류(온주밀감, 오렌지, 자몽)에서 온주밀감의 착즙액으로 부터 얻은 바이오 겔은 보습, 미백, 재생효과 면에서 기능성 화장품 천연성분으로의 사용이 우수할 것으로 사료된다. Skin which occupies most of the body performs various actions including regulation of body temperature, secretion, excretion, and absorption and has function of protection against external environment due to its outermost location in the body. Given the nature of skin that is continuously exposed to the external environment, skin is vulnerable to aging due to environmental stress. Intake or external supply of vitamins and minerals is essential in order to prevent such aging and recover the function of damaged skin, thus maintaining the skin with normal condition. Today, with increased interest of people on appearance, people care their skin by applying various measures that facilitate rapid recovery of damaged skin such as use of functional cosmetics, use of mask packs and receiving massage or professional treatment in order to prevent skin diseases and aging. This study provides fundamental data for development of functional cosmetics that is composed of citrus peel, one of natural substances. The biogel obtained from the juice of Satsuma Mandarin, one of the citrus (Satsuma Mandarin, oranges, grapefruits), in which the enzymatic reactions were placed by using grind citrus peel is thought to have excellent function as functional cosmetic containing natural ingredient in the context of hydration, whitening, and recovery.
