Objectives: This study was aimed to analyze the correlation of clinical characteristics of cancer patients treated with Korean Medicine and their natural killer cell activity (NKA). Methods: The medical records of 52 cancer patients who conducted NKA test at Cheonan Korean Medicine Hospital of Daejeon University from March 2016 to May 2018 were reviewed. NKA was determined at Seegene Medical institute using NK Vue Gold(R) kit, evaluating activated $IFN-{\gamma}$ by enzyme immunoassay after incubation of whole blood. Careful investigations were conducted by categorizing the patients by their sex, origin, stage, ECOG scale, and conventional treatment type. We used data from the medical records and statistical analysis using SPSS 25.0 V. Results: The average NKA of all patients was $623.1{\pm}722.0pg/mL$. The NKA value was higher for females than for males. No correlation was evident between age and NKA, but patients aged over 70 years had the lowest NKA average result. Stage III and IV patients showed clearly lower NKA values when compared to stage I and II patients. NKA and ECOG scale values showed no evident relationship. Conclusions: This study presented the characteristics of NKA in cancer patients treated with Korean medicine. The NKA result differed by gender and stage. Based on these findings, further study is needed regarding the clinical meaning of NKA.

Granuloma annulare (GA) is a common non-infectious granulomatous disease. Generalized GA is the second most common variant of GA. It is often associated with recalcitrant disease progression despite treatment. The lesion of generalized GA typically presents widespread papules that coalesce to form annular plaques over the whole body. We report a case of a patient with disseminated papules and coalescing annular plaques, primarily involving the intertriginous area and mimicking tinea corporis or cruris. Histopathological findings confirmed the lesion as GA. This case underscored the unusual clinical presentation of generalized GA. A case of GA localized to the intertriginous area has rarely been reported. Given the recalcitrant nature of the disease, dermatologists should consider generalized GA as a differential diagnosis in patients with an annular lesion involving the intertriginous area. Thus, we report this as an atypical case of generalized GA localized to the intertriginous area. (Korean J Dermatol 2021;59(10):797∼800)

This study analyzes the psychological warfare between China and Taiwan, focusing on the pira sprayed across the Taiwan Strait during the Cold War. As is well known, the second Taiwan Strait Crisis, which occurred under the banner of Taiwan"s "Reclam China" and China"s "Liberate Taiwan," is a artillery battle that fired large-scale shells at its opponents, and a psychological war in which various forms of acceleration broadcasts, propaganda broadcasts, and propaganda leaflets were distributed. The two sides carry out an omnidirectional psychological war to promote their ideology and ideas and induce the opponent"s loss and surrender of war. Among them, psychological warfare using propaganda leaflets has been recognized as a very effective psychological warfare method in that it could be exposed to many enemies. In addition, it was frequently used because it has excellent accessibility as a non-institutional medium that can deliver information to ordinary people who cannot access institutional media such as newspapers, magazines, radio, and broadcasting. The purpose of this article is largely divided into two. First, we look at various psychological warfare methods operated by China and Taiwan, and analyze psychological warfare using Pira among them. In particular, it analyzes the association of messages and images contained in beepers produced and distributed by China and Taiwan, and examines the mutual perception underlying them. Second, by deriving the prototypicity of the beepers of both sides and tracking the production purpose and operation logic of the beepers, we would like to understand the negative strategy and Propaganda Campaign of China and Taiwan.

사이버모델하우스 인터랙티브 디자인 실용성에 관한 연구

VR(Vitual Reality) has a purpose on give an unusual environment experience as a real and could classify as information design. Recently, inspire of the Cyber Model House has been built from its facilities; unrestricted time, area, and expenses to construct companies and customers. As in all the model houses previously provide information of be being built house to customers. By the Cyber Model House, controlling the final shape of the buildings and options interactive, customers could have the substance of information what they want, maximize satisfaction and also could understand the descriptions easily. Such as VR system would adapted to not only the Cyber Model House but also the other industries parts and a e-commercial transaction bring up to basic model. It is hard to choose the primary process for the Cyber Model House which is in developing step. However, we could expect the trends from response of customers and various competition processes. Therefore, development process of Cyber Model House would depend on efficient information communication and experience process. In this research, extents analyzing general idea and tendency of information design, comprehend practical use and problems of the Cyber Model House, and to present advanced direction of the Cyber Model House interactive design.

기분상태 척도에 의한 산촌체험 프로그램의 심리적 효과 분석 -산림전문가를 대상으로-

본 연구는 완도군 군외면 삼두리 산촌마을의 문화자원 및 산림자원을 활용한 산촌체험 프로그램을 개발하고, 산림전문가 15명을 대상으로 산촌체험 프로그램을 경험하도록 한 후, 사전·사후의 기분상태 척도를 통해 심리적 변화를 확인하고자 하였다. 산촌체험 프로그램에는 마을자원의 스토리텔링과 숲치유프로그램을 제시하였다. 체험 프로그램의 사전·사후 기분상태는 기분상태평가척도(K-POMS-B)로 측정하였고, 하위요인 6개 영역과 종합기분장애 값에 대해 대응표본 t 검증한 결과, 긴장(t=-4.710, p<.001), 우울(t=-4.556, p<.007), 분노(t=-4.555, p<.000), 활기(t=-4.713, p<.000), 혼돈(t=-3.639, p<.001), 피로(t=-4.713, p<.000), 종합기분장애(t=-4.708, p<.000)로 모든 요인에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 즉, 긴장, 우울, 분노, 혼란, 피로의 감소와 활력의 증가는 체험 프로그램에 대한 심리적 효과가 나타난 것으로 보인다. This study developed a mountain village experience program using cultural and forest resources in Samdu-ri, Guoe-myeon, Wando-gun, experienced a mountain village experience program for 15 forest experts, and confirmed psychological changes through the Profile of Mood State before and after. In the experience program, storytelling of village resources and forest healing programs were presented. The before and after mood states of the experience program were measured with The Korea-Profile of Mood State-Brief(K-POMS-B), and as a result of paired sample t test for 6 sub-factors and total mood disorder values, tension (t=-4.710, p<.001), depression (t=-4.556, p<.007), Anger (t=-4.555, p<.000), Vigor (t=-4.713, p<.000), confusion (t=-3.639, p<.001), fatigue (t=-4.713, p<.000), and general mood disorder (t=-4.708, p<.000) showed significant differences in all factors. In other words, the decrease in tension, depression, anger, confusion, and fatigue and the increase in vitality appear to have had a psychological effect on the experience program.

고농도 불소함유 산업폐수 처리를 위한 불화칼슘 결정화 최적조건 도출

This study attempted to utilize fluidized bed reactor for fluoride removal and CaF₂ purity from the industrial wastewater including high concentration of fluoride ion. Effects of HRT, pH, Ca²⁺ amount and seed height were investigated through lab-scale batch and continuous experiments. Considering fluoride removal efficiently and CaF₂ purity that HRT 5hr, pH6, seed height of 50 cm, [Ca²⁺]/[F-](mol/mol) ratio of 0.55 were found to be optimum. Correspondingly, removal fluoride was 82.5%, with a CaF₂ the crystallization rate of 95.1%, respectively. The results of continuous experiment showed that with pellet as CaF₂, fluoride concentration can be stably reduced to less than 45mg/L in effluent from the influent 300mg/L on average. HR-XRD analysis showed that the crystalline structure of crystals was mainly CaF₂.

When ACD to cosmetics is suspected: patch test and beyond

Cosmetics are composed of various ingredients, so some cosmetic ingredients or impurities can cause the allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) to a person who has been sensitized to specific substance in cosmetics. Recently, many cases of contact dermatitis due to cosmetics have been reported and various antigens from cosmetics are recommended for patch testing. In general, fragrances and preservatives are the most common and important contact allergens in cosmetics. The representative fragrances are balsam of Peru (myroxylon pereirae), fragrance mix, cinnamic alcohol, benzyl salicylate, ebanol, santalum album oil (sandalwood oil) etc. Thimerosal, quaternium-15 (dowicil 200), paraben, formaldehyde, imidazolidinyl urea (Germall), diazolidiny urea (Germall II), kathon CG, euxyl K400, octyl gallate, sorbic acid, t-butylhydroquinone are belong to preservatives. The common contact allergens as vehicles and surfactants include propylene glycol, lanolin, cocamidoprophyl betaine etc. Some specific sensitizers are also implicated in ACD, for example, paraphenylenediamine (PPD) in hair dye, glyceryl thioglycolate in hair care product, toluene sulfonamide formaldehyde resin (TSFR) in nail polish, or methacrylates in artificial nail products. The first step in the diagnosis of ACD due to cosmetics is checking a detailed history of the usage of personal care products (soap, shampoo, lotions, creams, medications, hair styling products, etc.) and recent change of cosmetics. Not only daily usage of cosmetics, but also intermittent exposure list of cosmetics should be asked. The patch test is an essential method to identify the cause of allergic contact dermatitis in cosmetics. Screening patch test series for ACD to cosmetics include cosmetic series, fragrance series, etc. Dual check with standard series, T.R.U.E test® are recommended. Patients` own cosmetics (lotion, cream, and makeup foundation) can be tested without dilution and cleansing agents (soap, shampoo, etc.) should be diluted with water into appropriate concentration. The open or provocative use test is administered before closed patch testing, if no safe concentration for closed patch testing is known. The frequency and representative allergens of contact dermatitis due to cosmetics can be changed along the trend in using the cosmetic ingredients. To diagnose the exact cause of ACD, it is very important not only to use suitable diagnostic battery, but also to know cosmetic ingredients well.
