This experiment was conducted to evaluate the growth performance, fecal score, and fecal microbial shedding in weaning pigs fed diets with different levels of fiber and protein. A total of 96 weaning piglets (7.41 ± 0.71 kg) were used in a 5-week trial. Pigs were allotted to dietary treatments based on initial body weight in a 2 × 2 factorial design with the following factors: dietary fiber (100 and 200 g/kg, respectively, during days 0 to 14; 175 and 300 g/kg, respectively, during days 14 to 35) and dietary protein (170 or 200 g/kg). There were 6 replicates with 4 pigs per pen. On day 14, pigs fed high protein or high fiber diets had heavier body weight (p < 0.05). During days 0 to 14, pigs fed high protein or high fiber diets grew faster (p < 0.05). Additionally, during days 14 to 35, an interactive effect of fiber and protein was found (p < 0.05) on average daily gain. The different levels of protein and fiber in diet did not affect the pigs’ fecal scores (p > 0.05). However, feces from the high fiber group showed lower concentration of Escherichia coli (p < 0.05). In conclusion, the results of the present study indicate that a high protein diet improves the growth of weaning pigs especially during the first two weeks. Moreover, the increments in fiber level, even in the high protein diet, favorably decreased the number of E. coli.

This paper describes the implementation of FC(Frequency Converter) that can be changable voltage(2V∼250V) and frequency(40Hz∼1kHz) by DSP. This system can be using as a production or trial of Japanese or European equipment(50 Hz) as well as equipment in aerospace, ocean or military industries, operating in the special frequency over 400 Hz. As we use the TMS320LF2407A(40 MIPS) of TI company's exclusive Motion control, we have got the fastest responses and it could be possible to compose the small, low costed system with high confidence, because it includes many I/O prots and peritheral devices on a single chip.
공냉형 흡수식 냉난방기용 5성분계 작동매체의 물성 측정 및 분석

에너지 절약과 지구 환경문제에 대한 관심이 증가함에 따라서, CFCs와 HCFCs와 같은 냉매가 필요없는 흡수식 냉난방기가 최근 많은 관심을 얻고 있다. 공기냉각방식의 흡수식 냉난방기는 소형장치를 위해 개발되었으나, 용해도와 증기압 등의 높은 물리화학적 특성들을 요구한다. 본 연구의 주된 목적은 5성분 작동매체의 가능성을 평가하는 것이다. LiBr+LiNO3+LiCl+ZnBr2 시스템을 선택하였고, 실험을 동해서 최적의 몰비가 LiBr:LiNO3:LiCl:ZnBr2= 5:1:2:2.5로 선정되었다. 용해도는 68~76wt%에서 측정하였고, 증기압은 293.15K~324.15K에서 측정하였다. 실험 데이터는 Antoine-type 식으로 상관관계를 지었고, 용해도와 증기압의 측정 값들을 통해서 P-T-X 선도를 작성하였다. In accord with the increasing concern about the energy saving and the global environmental issues, the absorption chiller is currently being considered very attractive since they do not require refrigerants such as chlorofluorocarbons(CFCs) and hydrochloro-fluorocarbons(HCFCs). Air-cooled absorption chiller is being developed for small scale but this unit requires high physical and thermal properties such as solubilities, vapor pressure and so on. The main purpose of this study is evaluating the possibilities of 5 components working fluid. LiBr+LiNO3+LiCl+ZnBr2 system was selected and the optimum mole ratio was experimentally determined to be LiBr:LiNO3:LiCl:ZnBr2=5:1:2:2.5. The solubilities were measured at concentrations from 68~76wt% and the vapor pressures were measured at temperatures from 293.15 to 423.15K. The experimental data was correlated with an Antoine-type equation and P-T-X chart was constructed through the measurements of solubility and vapor pressure.
Comparison of traffic-injury between bicyclist and motorcyclist in adolescent

Introduction Two-wheel vehicle injury is one of the common causes for requiring visits to emergency departments. Crashes related bicycle and motorcycle are shown different characteristics from car accidents, due to they use only two wheels for balance and the rider's body will be exposed directly to the outside in accidents. Those two-wheel vehicles are easy to use by young people compared to other transportation. So related accidents are also more likely to occur. The aim of this study is to evaluate and compare the characteristics and outcomes of bicycle and motorcycle accidents in adolescent. Material & Method This multi-center retrospective cohort study utilized data from the National Emergency Department Information System (NEDIS) that was collected from patients who visited the emergency department (ED) in 401 emergency medical institutions located in South Korea, between January 2016 and December 2018. We included injured patients aged< 19 years. The epidemiological characteristics (e.g., age, sex, time of injury), injury pattern (e.g., injury region, fracture site) and clinical outcomes (e.g., hospital length of stay, mortality) were obtained. We also used the Injury Severity Scale (ISS) to determine the severity of the injury. Then we compared the data between accidents of bicyclist and motorcyclist. Result A total of 54,342 two-wheel vehicle injury patients were enrolled in the study, of whom 37,410 were bicyclists and 16,932 were motorcyclists. Both Two-wheel vehicle crashes result in several injuries. External injuries and Extremity injuries were the most common injuries. And forearm was the most common fracture site in common. In bicycle accidents, 3,040 (8.12%) were admitted to the ICU and 9 (0.02%) died during hospitalization. On the other hands, in motorcycle accidents, 3,388 (20.00%) were needed the ICU admission and 53 (0.31%) died in hospital, both ICU admission rates and in-hospital mortality were higher than bicycle accidents. Mean ISS score of bicycle injuries was 5.0±6.1 and motorcycle crash was 9.0±10.4. ISS >16, which means more severe patients were 2172 (5.8%) patients in bicycle injuries, 30278 (18%) in motorcycle crash. Conclusion In adolescence, motorcycle crashes are more vulnerable than bicycle crashes. Motorcycle injured patients had higher average ISS scores than bicycle injured patients. The number of patients with ISS>16, which means serious patients, was also higher in motorcycle accidents.

In this study, the efficiency of ultraviolet photochemical reactor using ultraviolet radiation, which was induced by a vacuum ultraviolet lamp, was examined for the removal of SO<sub>2</sub> from flue gas. Reactor volume was 72 L, and in the reactor, baffles were installed for effective flow control of SO<sub>2</sub> removal. Using SO<sub>2</sub> concentration range was 1000~3000 ppm. (NH<sub>4</sub>)<sub>2</sub>SO<sub>4</sub> was obtained as a by-product. Under streaming NH<sub>3</sub>/SO<sub>2</sub> 2:1 molar ratio was optimum in SO<sub>2</sub> removal.

This study evaluated the effects of glycerol polyethylene glycol ricinoleate (GPGR) supplementation in different energy density diets on the growth performance, blood profiles, excreta gas emission, and total tract apparent retention (TTAR) of nutrients in broilers. A total of 544 one-day-old male Ross broilers were used in a 35-day trial. The broilers were allocated into one of four treatment groups in a 2 × 2 factorial arrangement with two levels of energy densities (a normal energy or decreased energy density) and GPGR (0 and 0.035%). From day 18 to 35, the GPGR supplemented and normal energy density diet groups showed a significantly improved (p < 0.05) body weight gain (BWG). Meanwhile, the GPGR supplemented diet group had a significantly reduced (p < 0.05) feed conversion ratio (FCR) compared to that of the nonsupplemented diet group. From day 0 to 35, the GPGR supplemented diet and the normal energy density diet groups had a significantly increased (p < 0.01) BWG and a reduced (p < 0.01) FCR. Moreover, GPGR supplementation tended to increase (p < 0.1) the TTAR of the dry matter (DM) compared with the non-supplemented diets. Likewise, the normal energy density diets had a significantly improved TTAR for the gross energy (GE) (p < 0.05) than that of the decreased energy density diets. No interactive effects were observed between the energy density and GPGR supplemented diets. In conclusion, both dietary GPGR supplementation and normal energy density diets had beneficial effects on the growth performance of broiler chickens without any adverse effects on blood profiles and excreta gas emission.
